yeah jade idol was so annoying when it came out, it wasn't super amazing but it killed fatigue decks like grinder mage
I played Jade Druid all throughout Mean Streets. It was incredibly powerful so I’m not sure what you are talking about.
@@foca7550 yeah but if I remember right it was the other cards and ramp that made it powerful, idol was more of a tech finisher

been loving ur content lately. idk if u know the contetn creator named ElectricWindGirlfriend but they do similar powerpoint content surrounding pokemon shodown and that got me super involved in the game
now i watch/listen to your vids at work and now im getting the urge to hop back into hearthstone (i left during jade druid and pirate warrior cuz i hated that shit)

I don't know if I just saw too many YTPs recently, but the way the words you say cut off and how they don't really connent to each other makes it feel like a YTP video
shoplifter + amalgam (and the mech that duplicates a minion at the end of the turn) was pretty fun. at 5-6 mana you could have an amalgam with like 10/10 in stats, and hopefully it would have duplicated at least once. Then summon goldbeard, end of turn you duplicate and every time it duplicates it summons another one that attacks and then dies (then going back into the deck) you end up with like 30 1 mana good stat amalgams (usually with buffs like windfury etc.) not super strong, but a lot of fun.
I think we could probably have talked Lifesteal Demon Hunter and pretend that DH was ever a class in Wild before the new Shaman set they printed this expansion
I think it’s great when they release cards that do something unique where understanding how to use them well isn’t trivial - you get a lot of interesting decks like you have here.
Amalgam is way too easy to hate out to be good, but trying to make it work in different ways has been some of the most fun I’ve had in this game. Honestly, any support that it gets that gives it something weird to do is a win from me - just wish aegwynn wasn’t so bad that I dare not craft her.
Just to build from the overheal priest; the more combo decks that aren’t otks the better. But the balance is hard. To make it worth the effort they usually need to have a ceiling that makes them the best in a format, which can be hell for high legend (eg darkglare warlock), or it needs to be a deck that people play in spite of winrate - which are few and for between for complex decks. I’m not really sure how to solve that puzzle.

you give it Charge with Charge so it gets +2 attack and Charge, sorry, 3 mana spell give it +2 attack and Charge

weird archtypes are fun ngl
For death knight I can say "Boar Otk", its uses cagehead who discounted by frostwhisper. Ok speed for standart (uses excavate/plagues for tempo before otk) and posibility to deal 90 charge damage on turn 7. Dont deserve for video because im only one that insane to use that.

I love playing mill druid, not since it's fun, but specifically because I know it makes my opponent mad. Since I play wild, I can still play Guff so you can put some big boys and spells in it to make it worse, then when they think they survived and got you, you just drop down forbidden fruit for an extra 40 armor or 20 damage to face. No other deck gets me more friend requests after the game than mill druid.
Spectral Blade Rogue is probably 2nd place, but you instantly lose if they can freeze you every turn.

Milling cards through dew process is boring
I prefer a jank homebrew combo where I play vargoth, cube it, naturalize the cube and play drakkary enchanter for maximum chaos
I wish Hearthstone added new cards strong enough to create new archetypes on their own. Actually switch it up
They used to, dk rexxar basically made midrange Hunter but now if a card was that strong it gets 80 nerfs

Plenty of decks do revolve around singular cards though. Skyla carried/is carrying big spell mage. Sonya created sonya rogue. Brann and Odyn in warrior. Mystery egg for hunter in wild. It has always been what hearthstone does.
