8 to 9 inch inseam look best on me since I’m 6 feet tall. Shorter inseams make my legs look too long in my opinion but I do have a few 6 inch inseam shorts in my wardrobe. I guess it could also depend on how developed or underdeveloped your legs are! If you skip out on “leg day” and you only focus on upper body, then I’d definitely go with a longer inseam to “balance” proportions. However, if your legs are toned and/or muscular then you may have more flexibility in choosing inseams. However, if you’re short, longer shorts seem to look out of proportion and shorter inseams IMHO look better on short people. Just my personal observations!
6', 7.5-8" inseam.
I’ve been doing 5”-6” shorts and LOVING them! No long shorts this summer. Let my thighs get some ☀️!!

Shorts are one thing but dressing like you’re going to a pyjama party is gross.
