    If this interview went to the masses in the UK as a representation of Reform, I honestly think theyd have a good chance of being elected. Nigel is spearheading the charge but in reality this is the kind of person the public person they want representing them. It will not happen unfortunately. I think a lot of people are ignorant. As he explained, those who say im not going to vote because it never changes have NO idea of the power they hold in this election.

    I like this guy. He's talking sense and not giving non-answers like the politicians we are used to.
    I like the idea about raising the tax level because it wont prevent the tax going to where it needs to go . It just means that the tax payer gets to spend his money in the way that best assists him/her to get by in life more easily. The money still gets to the government a little later in the form of VAT because if you need to buy something to support your family or whatever, it still has VAT attached but you don't have to go begging so long as you have money in your pocket. Thing is. You get to choose how you're going to pass that money to the tax man not someone else. It will stimulate the economy and simplify the tax system.
    I also like the idea of your MP being available for conversation on platforms like this.

    Excellent discussion. Thank you both. Appreciate your straight forward common sense approach. I hope Paul wins his seat and Andy, more like this if you can. I'll be voting Reform come what may. (Bye the way, I watched a YT video of a Reform candidates meeting in the South West in which a old farmer talked about his experiences. e.g being paid a government subsidy to plant barley but not to harvest the crop. Just ploughed back in. About Broccoli pickers being forced to discard much of their crop because supermarkets only accept a certain size - and more besides. There's a scandal going on with farming as well that seems to be going on under the radar - hopefully Reform may be able to shed light on that at some stage.)

  • @scrittle
    @scrittle 2 дня назад +2

    44:42 As somebody who left the school system in the last 5 years Paul is wrong, we weren't indoctrinated into feeling gross for our own skin colour, we were shown past atrocities and the equal rights movement - the same topics my parents were taught when they were growing up. What made these kids feel gross is most likely social media and history channels covering white people doing horrible atrocities (which you grow to forgot). A blanket statement like that passes into my biggest problem with the Reform party - 'right-wing'.
    I have spoken to people, primarily labour voters, who believe Reform is another shade of UKIP under Farage, and they remember his crackpot manifesto which included legalising handguns. Reform supporters and spokesmen who go "leftists will cry" or whatever else fail to see how extremist this looks to the majority of left-centrist voters, I don't like political spectrums/wings because it's inaccurate to the aims of the party. What Reform pledges for the country is rather good, but the right-wing stance is turning off voters since "right-wing" immediately crosses wires with the crackpot American Republicans.
    I won't be voting Reform because I want to see if their pledges stand the test of time, and Labour were the ones who introduced policies which shaped my childhood. You could say I'm young and ignorant and I am, and I see a lot of positives in Reform, but they're too new and bunched with loonies.
    1:07:24 I dream of cutting down my wages by removing travel altogether. Not sure what this 'human interaction' lark is neither, if my coworkers were sorry saps who were a drain on my day I'd rather communicate with them via email. I absolutely oppose this, *especially* if your job is completely digital the need for an office is a formality. The only times you need to go on-site should be for physical jobs like park rangers, warehouse workers or bobbies. I'd rather not turn up to work and desperately attempt to get my cold-shouldered peers 20 years older than me to unwind about their day and talk about themselves. Paul may think it's great but it's really arrogant honestly.
    1:12:27 Nigel Farage isn't on the show because the show only presents past electorate winners and Farage's party has never won the general election. If Paul had researched the justification instead of knee-jerking like a lot of Reform voters did, maybe he'd know that.

      Were you taught who stopped slavery and how they stopped it and who paid for it ?

    • @scrittle
      @scrittle 2 дня назад +1

      @@antitheist2000 The slave trade was financed by white plantation owners who bought slaves from African merchants who respectively traded beads and other things in exchange for slaves from their own African tribes. The plantations were described to accommodate slaves in cheap, underfurnished housing and long work hours given they had less rights. We were then taught the Slave Trade ended primarily due to the American civil war for independence thanks to Lincoln. Later, we focused on racial discrimination from the 1940s to 1980s and the revolving cultures of black groups innovating new forms of art and music. We learnt about Martin Luther King Jr and a little about Martin X and how different their methods of campaigning was and their backgrounds. We learnt about black and white spaces and other stereotypes from that time.
      Most of this topic was focused on America with a few links to the UK here and there, however we weren't taught to feel shame for our skin colour, we were just taught basic civil rights movements around their respective historical contexts and moved onto other topics like: the Suffragettes, Hippocrates and Galen, The Great Depression, WW1 & 2, Innoculation & Vaccines, and American stuff. We were taught British Values like Vikings and the Anglo-Saxons in Primary School.
