Make a small ring out of a silver quarter - Valentine's Day gift idea.

Watch me bumble around, make mistakes, and talk to myself as I try my hand at jewelry making for the first time. I made this ring as a Valentine's Day gift for my girlfriend.
I made the ring in one afternoon and even though I don't show it in this video, I did the final polish with automotive polishing compound; this worked really well.
Questionable video quality and lighting, but whatever. I'm not a professional.

If you’re planning on making these types of rings out of clad (Nickle/Copper) quarters, you should be aware of the health/lung hazards and take proper precautions to protect yourself.
The fumes from annealing nickel are carcinogenic. I was making quarter rings and decided to stop after discovering this. After only a month or so of making quarter rings, I was seeing the signs of pneumonitis (inflammation of lung tissue)​ - yikes!
