No matter how many kpop fans invalidates their success, they will remain irreplaceable as one of 3rd Gen’s most accomplished and reputable artists in their field as musicians. Releasing songs after the other, bops after bops, winning awards and winning again and apparently winning again! They set the bar high and people couldn’t erase what they’ve written in Kpop’s history that even POPULAR and INFLUENTIAL group will always be nothing compared to ACCOMPLISHED AND REPUTABLE group like them. Twice have proven legends and even in the future when they leave their careers and their popularity fades through time, just remember all those records and actual trophies they have won. The immense success they’ve reached. It will always be remarkable and inspirational to the new generation of Kpop after them. The fact that they are the ones that wanted to perform cry for me so badly and the company director keep rejecting them tell me so many things.They are a 6 years old group let them have their own decisions and trust them they know what their fans want. Cry for me was the largest hit in Mama and the most talked about….
I very hate that in the K-pop industry, idols must have a certain image. Any idol dating another idol becomes so controversial and turns into a scandal. They are not allowed to show off there tattoos in public because of Korea's conservative society.
200% agreed. Also it shows how genuine and authentic the girls are. They weren't worried about business or marketing (if that was the case, Cry For Me would never have happened, because the aesthetics of it is completely different from TWICE's style and it's not very pop). They did it just because they like it, as a gift for the fans. I'm really happy that they were allowed to make such a move that escapes JYP business strategy completely and could be considered a mistake from a marketing standpoint (although it ended up being a massive hit). They are not afraid of taking risks, and that's what sets TWICE apart in the Kpop industry.
@@Leokuma7 Twice has always been well known for there cutesy and very pop music. But as the group gets older, they are starting to get tired of doing the same concept all of the time. I'm happy that Cry for Me was released because it shows a totally different side to Twice other than there cutesy and bubby music. JYP needs to make songs that will suit every member not just a few. They also need a better marketing and mv production team as well as better vocal coaches. Instead of doing 4 to 6 comebacks a year, why not do just 1 Japanese comeback and 2 Korean comebacks a year like most other groups do and so that Twice can get more rest. Twice is like the only K-pop group that constantly goes back and forth from Korean comebacks to Japanese comebacks.
@@jordicarvajal2834 The concept shift is already taking place. Their latest album Formula of Love is quite mature. When I said Cry For Me was a risky move, it was not only because of the music itself, but mostly because of the way it was "promoted". JYPE usually likes to tease and create a whole hype before a release, always following an MV. Also it's understandable that groups perform their biggest famous hits at MAMA. None of that applies to Cry For Me. I agree they could have better vocals. But the problem is not about their singing skills, because they can sing. I think it's more about self-confidence and, as you said, making songs that suit their voices. Some songs are impossible to sing live and just embarrass our lovely girls.
@@Leokuma7 Twice has been maturing since the Fancy era. Momo's voice and Twice's live singing got criticized in More and More so that was probably the reason why the line distribution in I Can't Stop Me was unfair because JYP wanted to stay on the safe side by reducing lines to members who can't sing well. In reality they can sing, they just need genres that will suit there voices. The problem with I Can't Stop Me and More and More was that they are too many high notes in those songs and only like 2 to 3 members can sing high notes without getting criticism. Nayeon, Jihyo and in some cases Jeongyeon. The other members still need to improve their vocal skills so that they can sing live without feeling embarrassed. Yes they do need more self confidence not only in live singing but also when they promote on American shows. They act totally differently on American shows compared to Korean shows where on Korean shows they look so happy and excited. While on American shows they look bored, confused, and feel like they just want to get it over it and leave. Most of there American promotions had been remote because of the pandemic and mostly OT8. They mainly do live performances and self interviews with English subtitles.
BLACKPINK may have gotten me into k-pop, but TWICE has sustained me over the past couple of years. Though I consider myself a BLINK first & ONCE second, there's no denying that TWICE is the hardest working 3rd gen girl group and they deserve all of the accolades they receive. And having just watched Sixteen, I appreciate them even more! TWICE has certainly cemented their place in music history, and I LOVE how they're growing up musically. Very few groups can pivot from cute to mature as well as TWICE. I miss seeing all 9, and I hope Jeongyeon feels better in time for the NA leg of their tour (can't wait!).
Not throwing shade on either team, since they're all different, but honestly I didn't like Red Velvet the first time I heard them, then I heard Red Flavor and Psycho and I was hooked on Red Velvet and I still am. And I love all the members equally in that group, but honestly, all of red Velvet is better all-around than BlackPink and 7 out of the 9 in Twice. Honestly only nayeon and Jihyo interest me vocally and the rest I wind up finding just being okay.

Why is time so fast 😥 6 years is long but it feels so quick... I wasn't with them when they started but I promise I will stay with them until the end. They're so successful and well known yet so humble. They have a special place in my heart especially that they're the very first Kpop group that I ever stanned and supported so much. They aren't just a group, they are women who helped a lot of people and made them feel comfortable and confident, they are kind hearted people and it really shows. There's no group like them, many groups are really talented and make amazing music, but Twice is different, they make healing and meaningful music and all members complements well together. I genuinely think nobody can replace them, all members are always there to make our days better and they are always by ONCEs side, how much they care for their fans is just surreal and I wish I could give them enough the love they give us. They work harder day by day and does their best to give the least content they can give to ONCE and I truly appreciate everything they give us. All members care so much for their fans and even helps them through words and actions, the members always give food to the staffs and always thanks ONCE for everything even though we didn't do much. They always accept everything they get no matter how big or small it is and it just shows how humble they are. Though we all know that not all members are perfect in singing, dancing, etc but they are just perfect in their own way by being who they are and shows their real selves to us. Even when there are times where they are tired they still try to make it up to ONCE, we all have our bad days but they still manage to give a smile to us. They treat ONCE like their own family and it's really overwhelming. They care for pets, nature, earth, and so much more. TWICE is already perfect for me, they have it all, through these years of OT9 together they really showed what they can do and that they can improve, all girls are not just talented and pretty faces but they do have the exact meaning of beauty which is in the inside. ...Yet all of that they still get hate. We love you TWICE and I hope that you will always remember that many people supports you and is always looking forward to your greatly executed performances, we ONCE hope that you will all stay in good health and will keep strong and be continued to be guided on your idol journey, we hope to always see the real TWICE, and hoping more awards!!!! I wasn't there in 2015, not even in 2019 but watching this made me cry. I'm so proud! They accomplished and grew up so much ever since Sixteen. They truly are legends! The national Girl Group indeed. Staning them was definitely the best decision I made. I will remain a once forever and ever

Some things people tend to forget that, they never had it easy. People thought they have privilege bcs they came from JYP but no, they debuted around the time JYP’ financial was at the bottom and people are pay less attention to jyp’ group. They had to beg people around on the street to watch sixteen and asked people to cheer them up. Their first fanmeeting only had LESS THAN 100 people. Their physical & digital debut album were not doing good. They got a lot of hate just bcs their debut stage were not good. People even said JYP has failed. They had to perform school-2-school to promote their debut song. But look at them now? Look at how big they are now and they keep getting bigger day by day. Yet they are still the same, they’re still the hardworking and humble 9 girls we used to know but now, they are one of the greatest group of all the time. They are a big part of kpop history. They are TWICE.
Couldn't have said it better myself👏. And I remember Jihyo once said because their debut album didn't do so well at first, they kinda of felt like they had failed their company at that time. But INDEED look at them now.....and I believe they are just gonna keep getting bigger and bigger, because they are TWICE.
Don't forget that they literally did a part time job at Dunkin Donuts before Cheer Up era to tell people that they'll be making a cb shortly. 😭 Also Twice Private Life literally shows that K-netz didn't even know Twice properly in 2015 bcoz they performed at streets with only 2-3 stopping by to watch them, Sana even asked for a high 5 with a person and he was shocked and asked the filming crew who she is? And finally Twice were literally roaming on the streets and no one was noticing them. Lastly, their debut individual teasers are still the cheapest teasers ever made bcoz JYPE was in a financial crisis at that time like literally Nayeon was just washing her face in her individual teaser while Tzuyu was just jogging 😭😭 All this just shows that TWICE DIDN'T HAVE ANY PRIVELAGE THEY MADE JYPE INTO A PRIVELAGE

I was so sad to not see Twice this year st MAMA, every time they are on the stage is just a really different vibe that doesn't simillar with another ones.

2019 was one of the worst years for Twice, but I personally think they should’ve included their 2019 awards and performances in this short documentary as it was quite legendary 🤍 All being said, Twice deserves all the successes they come across ❤️
Considering how much Jihyo suffered at MAMA 2019 and she is still getting hate because of it to this day I'm not surprised they'd rather pretend that time didn't happen.
As a 2015 ONCE I really teared up when I watched them watching their old performance and awards. I watched them growing I can't believe it's already 7years with them time really flies so fast . Need at least 1 English speaker in the group and build up their confidence on American shows and interviews. 2. A concept, sound, and image that will appeal to the American public without changing there style completely and upsetting a lot of loyal fans. 3. JYP needs to promote TWICE more in the US and send them to more American shows and media. They also need to do photo shoots for major American magazines not the Korean divisions. They also need a better marketing strategy. 5. The members need to increase there individual fame by doing solo activities or activities outside of music like luxury fashion endorsements or acting in Korean dramas and also opening there own Instagram accounts. 6. A good amount of comebacks a year. TWICE needs to do 2 Korean comebacks, 1 Japanese comeback a year, and an English single in between instead of going back and forth constantly from Korean comebacks to Japanese comebacks with little to no rest.
its still unbelievable that fancy didnt win soty in 2019 🥲🥲🥲🥲 it was such an iconic comeback where twice showed an entirely new side while keeping their significant twice-only element in it cry for me has quite controversial lyrics if people actually looked into it LOL, i can see why the directors were extremely hesitant about it (can be other reasons too, dont quote me on this). in summary its basically an unhealthy, manipulative love relationship but it has a very very good discography. song arrangement, concept as well as choreography. imo a better release than icsm, im so glad they decided to perform it on mama and were allowed to do so. they soon released an english version only on the CD on their taste of love album, im still sad its not on anywhere digital like spotify.

No matter how many kpop fans invalidates their success, they will remain irreplaceable as one of 3rd Gen’s most accomplished and reputable artists in their field as musicians. The fact that they are the ones that wanted to perform cry for me so badly and the company director keep rejecting them tell me so many things.They are a 6 years old group let them have their own decisions and trust them they know what their fans want. I very hate that in the K-pop industry, idols must have a certain image. Any idol dating another idol becomes so controversial and turns into a scandal. They are not allowed to show off there tattoos in public because of Korea's conservative society.
200% agreed. Also it shows how genuine and authentic the girls are. They weren't worried about business or marketing (if that was the case, Cry For Me would never have happened, because the aesthetics of it is completely different from TWICE's style and it's not very pop). They did it just because they like it, as a gift for the fans.
I'm really happy that they were allowed to make such a move that escapes JYP business strategy completely and could be considered a mistake from a marketing standpoint (although it ended up being a massive hit). They are not afraid of taking risks, and that's what sets TWICE apart in the Kpop industry.
@@Leokuma7 Twice has always been well known for there cutesy and very pop music. But as the group gets older, they are starting to get tired of doing the same concept all of the time. I'm happy that Cry for Me was released because it shows a totally different side to Twice other than there cutesy and bubby music. JYP needs to make songs that will suit every member not just a few. They also need a better marketing and mv production team as well as better vocal coaches. Instead of doing 4 to 6 comebacks a year, why not do just 1 Japanese comeback and 2 Korean comebacks a year like most other groups do and so that Twice can get more rest. Twice is like the only K-pop group that constantly goes back and forth from Korean comebacks to Japanese comebacks.
@@jordicarvajal2834 The concept shift is already taking place. Their latest album Formula of Love is quite mature. When I said Cry For Me was a risky move, it was not only because of the music itself, but mostly because of the way it was "promoted". JYPE usually likes to tease and create a whole hype before a release, always following an MV. Also it's understandable that groups perform their biggest famous hits at MAMA. None of that applies to Cry For Me.
I agree they could have better vocals. But the problem is not about their singing skills, because they can sing. I think it's more about self-confidence and, as you said, making songs that suit their voices. Some songs are impossible to sing live and just embarrass our lovely girls.
@@Leokuma7 Twice has been maturing since the Fancy era. Momo's voice and Twice's live singing got criticized in More and More so that was probably the reason why the line distribution in I Can't Stop Me was unfair because JYP wanted to stay on the safe side by reducing lines to members who can't sing well. In reality they can sing, they just need genres that will suit there voices. The problem with I Can't Stop Me and More and More was that they are too many high notes in those songs and only like 2 to 3 members can sing high notes without getting criticism. Nayeon, Jihyo and in some cases Jeongyeon. The other members still need to improve their vocal skills so that they can sing live without feeling embarrassed.
Yes they do need more self confidence not only in live singing but also when they promote on American shows. They act totally differently on American shows compared to Korean shows where on Korean shows they look so happy and excited. While on American shows they look bored, confused, and feel like they just want to get it over it and leave. Most of there American promotions had been remote because of the pandemic and mostly OT8. They mainly do live performances and self interviews with English subtitles.

BLACKPINK may have gotten me into k-pop, but TWICE has sustained me over the past couple of years. Though I consider myself a BLINK first & ONCE second, there's no denying that TWICE is the hardest working 3rd gen girl group and they deserve all of the accolades they receive. And having just watched Sixteen, I appreciate them even more! TWICE has certainly cemented their place in music history, and I LOVE how they're growing up musically. Very few groups can pivot from cute to mature as well as TWICE. I miss seeing all 9, and I hope Jeongyeon feels better in time for the NA leg of their tour (can't wait!).
Not throwing shade on either team, since they're all different, but honestly I didn't like Red Velvet the first time I heard them, then I heard Red Flavor and Psycho and I was hooked on Red Velvet and I still am. And I love all the members equally in that group, but honestly, all of red Velvet is better all-around than BlackPink and 7 out of the 9 in Twice. Honestly only nayeon and Jihyo interest me vocally and the rest I wind up finding just being okay.

6 years is long but it feels so quick...
I wasn't with them when they started but I promise I will stay with them until the end.
They're so successful and well known yet so humble.
They have a special place in my heart especially that they're the very first Kpop group that I ever stanned and supported so much.
They aren't just a group, they are women who helped a lot of people and made them feel comfortable and confident, they are kind hearted people and it really shows.
There's no group like them, many groups are really talented and make amazing music, but Twice is different, they make healing and meaningful music and all members complements well together. I genuinely think nobody can replace them, all members are always there to make our days better and they are always by ONCEs side, how much they care for their fans is just surreal and I wish I could give them enough the love they give us.
They work harder day by day and does their best to give the least content they can give to ONCE and I truly appreciate everything they give us. All members care so much for their fans and even helps them through words and actions, the members always give food to the staffs and always thanks ONCE for everything even though we didn't do much. They always accept everything they get no matter how big or small it is and it just shows how humble they are.
Though we all know that not all members are perfect in singing, dancing, etc but they are just perfect in their own way by being who they are and shows their real selves to us. Even when there are times where they are tired they still try to make it up to ONCE, we all have our bad days but they still manage to give a smile to us.
They treat ONCE like their own family and it's really overwhelming. They care for pets, nature, earth, and so much more.
TWICE is already perfect for me, they have it all, through these years of OT9 together they really showed what they can do and that they can improve, all girls are not just talented and pretty faces but they do have the exact meaning of beauty which is in the inside.

I can only imagine once they've disbanded or when they would live separate lives how lonely Sana would be, probably always looking for her sisters
Some things people tend to forget that, they never had it easy. People thought they have privilege bcs they came from JYP but no, they debuted around the time JYP’ financial was at the bottom and people are pay less attention to jyp’ group. They had to beg people around on the street to watch sixteen and asked people to cheer them up. Their first fanmeeting only had LESS THAN 100 people. Their physical & digital debut album were not doing good. They got a lot of hate just bcs their debut stage were not good. People even said JYP has failed. They had to perform school-2-school to promote their debut song. But look at them now? Look at how big they are now and they keep getting bigger day by day. Yet they are still the same, they’re still the hardworking and humble 9 girls we used to know but now, they are one of the greatest group of all the time. They are a big part of kpop history. They are TWICE.
Couldn't have said it better myself👏. And I remember Jihyo once said because their debut album didn't do so well at first, they kinda of felt like they had failed their company at that time. But INDEED look at them now.....and I believe they are just gonna keep getting bigger and bigger, because they are TWICE.

Also Twice Private Life literally shows that K-netz didn't even know Twice properly in 2015 bcoz they performed at streets with only 2-3 stopping by to watch them, Sana even asked for a high 5 with a person and he was shocked and asked the filming crew who she is? And finally Twice were literally roaming on the streets and no one was noticing them.
Lastly, their debut individual teasers are still the cheapest teasers ever made bcoz JYPE was in a financial crisis at that time like literally Nayeon was just washing her face in her individual teaser while Tzuyu was just jogging 😭😭
All this just shows that TWICE DIDN'T HAVE ANY PRIVELAGE THEY MADE JYPE INTO A PRIVELAGE

I was so sad to not see Twice this year st MAMA, every time they are on the stage is just a really different vibe that doesn't simillar with another ones.

2018 TWICE MAMA is an entertainment masterpiece. Literally The Greatest Twice Show
2019 was one of the worst years for Twice, but I personally think they should’ve included their 2019 awards and performances in this short documentary as it was quite legendary 🤍 All being said, Twice deserves all the successes they come across ❤️

If Twice are going to be on the same level in terms of global fame like BTS or BP they will need:
1. Need at least 1 English speaker in the group and build up their confidence on American shows and interviews.
2. A concept, sound, and image that will appeal to the American public without changing there style completely and upsetting a lot of loyal fans.
3. JYP needs to promote TWICE more in the US and send them to more American shows and media. They also need to do photo shoots for major American magazines not the Korean divisions. They also need a better marketing strategy.
5. The members need to increase there individual fame by doing solo activities or activities outside of music like luxury fashion endorsements or acting in Korean dramas and also opening there own Instagram accounts.
6. A good amount of comebacks a year. TWICE needs to do 2 Korean comebacks, 1 Japanese comeback a year, and an English single in between instead of going back and forth constantly from Korean comebacks to Japanese comebacks with little to no rest.

cry for me has quite controversial lyrics if people actually looked into it LOL, i can see why the directors were extremely hesitant about it (can be other reasons too, dont quote me on this). in summary its basically an unhealthy, manipulative love relationship but it has a very very good discography. song arrangement, concept as well as choreography. imo a better release than icsm, im so glad they decided to perform it on mama and were allowed to do so. they soon released an english version only on the CD on their taste of love album, im still sad its not on anywhere digital like spotify.
