It's the sound of victory. This is what you hear when that little rush hits the back of your mind, the elation of knowing you've won before anyone realizes.
This track makes me cry. I haven't cried in almost 6 years, but this really grips me. In the game you're stuck with people who you learn to know, they become your friends, you care for them, and they care for you. When this theme plays, the perpetrator who is your friend is represented by an entity that represents madness or despair incarnate. For me this theme and the segment it's played in signifies how they've fallen completely, beyond saving. All you can do is find the truth... and hope it doesn't happen again. Goddammit...
It was so disheartening when it was my favorites that started to drop. Pretty much all of my favorites died in the game, with two being culprits(Mundo and Sakura for herself).
Look, this hurt everytime. Leon hurt. I thought he was going to be cool, his design was badass, but that snake Sayaka messed him up. Mondo hurt. I respected him, but his motive for killing Chihiro made him one of my least favorite characters. Sakura hurt. She was the realest one there. And then just to find out she killed herself? That was even worse. Then on to DR2. OH BOY. Peko hurt. She was my favorite female character aside from Ibuki and Chiaki (we'll get to Chiaki later.) It was all because she thought she was a tool, but she's a person too. Gundham HURT. Gundham is my favorite character in the whole series, so when he died, I was punching the air. Chapter 4 just all around sucked for me because I liked Nekomaru too. And then, of course Chiaki. I don't even have to speak on that one. This isn't the same song that was in DR3 though, so no point in spilling my opinions for those deaths here.
Me i just finished this game at April 30, 2024 and now June 2 it feels like I've been playing this game years ago 😂 but seriously i wish i can play it again without knowing anything in the game
I really like this track, it has an unsettling, conspiracy sorta vibe that goes well with the complex fucked up crime the player is piecing together while it plays.
Best of all, it's actually despair inducing. It makes you feel that whatever horrible crime took place, you could've prevented it, if only you paid attention. Well, at least that how I felt each time it played lol
i thought of that for v3, its alot more sadder. this one just seems heroic to me, that youre finally reaching the truth after the trials you went through and justice is being served idk
to me its kind of sad, knowing all of these thing could've never happened, but also gives you hope, you're bringing justice to all those who have died, like kind of heroic. which is why dr 1 is my favorite out of the series, since it does this best out of all the games.
I'll never forget the feeling I had when I heard this music for the first time during case 1. "This is it! Everything's been said and done. The only thing left to do now is to deliver the coup de grace. Corner the culprit!" Such a good game.
Makoto: Let’s go over the murder one more time. (Draws a quick comic) Kyoko: Um, Makoto, what are you doing? Makoto: Making a strip. Taka: You should be focusing on the litigation! Byakuya: We’re at the climax of the trial, and he’s wasting our time with manga. Hifumi: You read manga too, Makoto?! Makoto: No! I’m illustrating the murder! Chihiro: Who’s the mysterious figure? Sakura: It looks like he’s the one who’s going to kill Sayaka... Aoi: But we established that Leon’s the killer! Celeste: Why are you drawing a naked man with Sayaka? Toko: He’s a pervert! Mondo: THAT’S FUCKING DISGUSTING! Yasuhiro: Aren’t you supposed to be drawing Leon? Makoto: That’s Leon! Leon: That looks nothing like me. I’m not in the picture with Sayaka... Makoto: THAT *IS* YOU! Monokuma: 😑 Penalty, Makoto.
When I put the closing argument together that would send Mondo to his execution, I cried so hard hearing this music. I had to keep wiping my tears to finish it.
"Here's exactly what happened!" - 5 seconds later - "Actually, now that I look at it, this drawing of someone entering a closet is actually of someone leaving a closet, and my drawing of someone leaving a closet actually looks like someone hiding in a closet. Shoot!"
To me, this is one of the two saddest tracks in the entire series. The sorrow you feel reviewing someone's last living moments is only intensified by the dramatic, yet somber tone of the song. It especially hurts when you have the chance to see the look of fear on the victim, like 2:2
I think the reason I like this theme more than V3's is because V3's climax reasoning theme feels more overtly sad, while this theme can definitely make you feel multiple emotions. Phenomenal music...
On the other side, V3's theme probably matches Shuichi's mental state at those moments in the game, as well as THH's Reasoning matches Makoto's(it's not that deep, I just can't get over the joke that Shuichi = sad)

@@bassoonplatoon3146 Yes as a matter of fact I have! I was pleasantly surprised by how good Dangan 2 was, I went in expecting it to be inferior to the 1st game. V3 was also very good...minus the ending imo. I didn't like the direction they went in, what did you think of it?
@@xem2476 I really liked Dangan 2 a lot more than V3, but V3 was also a standalone kind of thing. I appreciated the big twist but I felt it didn't really belong in a Danganronpa game because of the emphasis on character relationships and character identities and how that just kind of... became more or less irrelevant and unresolved at the end of V3. But that's just my opinion. The cases were all fantastic though!
Haha, nice to see fellow Ace Attorney fans here. I was so happy when I saw Danganronpa. Ace Attorney + rythm games + FPS games + Hope vs. Despair survival game + dating sims = Danganronpa. And I totally dig that. :D
given the right context, this song can be quite sad when you think about it like i do. to me, since your piecing the murders together. its essentially like the theme of the persons last breath. someone died and now someone else is about to die
You know this song makes me feel sad every time it plays in the comic sections. Like if you listen to it while looking at the whole comic being pieced before you it sort of creates this tragic vibe. Like figuring out the final moments of one of the character’s life, it just feels sad.
IMO, V3 has the best intimate character moments to me, DR2 has the best character driven narrative, but this one has the BEST narrative overall and atmosphere. WOW, the atmosphere! This song has this sense of tension with the synths, while the piano piles on emotion. Emphasized by the percussion. It truly captures this game's feel perfectly to me.
People talk about v3's Climax Reasoning by saying how "emotional" that version is - as if this version isn't emotional. This one is chock full of emotions.
I thought the V3 one was going to suck because people said this one was superior. Nah in the end both were somber bangers to cry and expose your homies' murders to
the second game fixed that by giving hints for the pictures you had, so it would me made clear what the action was. kinda wish they bought that into the first game when they added school mode but, that's just me.
This soundtrack dude!! Like how am I supposed to solve this case when this freaking fire music is playing!!! Masafumi Takada, they always let him cook I swear!! And he cooked!!
I have no idea how they would even go about doing that, but it’d definitely be interesting. Maya and Phoenix get stuck in the middle of this killing game shit
How about this: Danganronpa characters get trapped in a murder game, and Ace Attorney characters have to save them by completing cases in the outside world. Eventually, the two parties meet in an ultimate Hope vs Despair trial, where all the mysteries are solved and Hope wins
This music makes me think of someone putting the evidence together in a somewhat tired and stressed like way, knowing that someone will still die when the evidence becomes clear showing how grim the situation is.
Been replaying all the games and the version of Climax Inference in DR1 really feels the most anxious, and I think that's because they don't give you any hints (but they do give you all of the panels at once, which I do like)
This is definitely the most beautiful song in the sound track. It feels extremely suiting for the context of the biggest most awful most tragic events that underly in this gut wrenching story. I adore this series.
@@claudevalentine8657 correction: she wanted to escape to make sure her friends were alright. Remember, her idol group was like a family to her, and she had sacrificed many things to get to where she was. Plus, she didn’t know that those were her classmates of two years, so she obviously didn’t feel that much remorse killing a perfect stranger like Leon. Finally, the rules of the trial weren’t fully explained until after her death, so when she was planning the murder she thought that she only needed to kill Leon and frame Makoto, then she could have escaped but everybody inside the school would have still been okay. She didn’t know about a class trial. She didn’t know about the executions. She was willing to kill someone to escape, sure, and that is bad, but so was Leon, yet people defend him more (and I’m talking as someone who has Leon in my faves). They both have flaws. They’re both morally gray. But they’re also sympathetic to some degree. They were two scared teenagers acting on pure adrenaline.

I've already escaped from the fandom a long time ago, i barely see any posts or videos made by them, but, the soundtracks and memories from the game, those are unforgettable.
Ok, so I have just finished this game (I'm very late to the party, I know) and can I just vent here how absolutely amazing the closing argument always felt to do? You get a really creative way of reviewing along with it being a puzzle + it has a great artstyle and this absolute banger of a song plays. I was intrigued when I began playing, I was hooked when the first trial started and I was completely sold on this game when I first heard and saw THIS!
@@RhySinn I finished 2 about a week ago. Enjoyed it even more than 1, which I was already in love with. The new set mechanic of the closing arguments took some getting used to, but overall, I felt the magic of 1's closing arguments again. Playing 3 right now btw. ^,^
The first time I did this part with Sayaka really hurt. I really liked her as a love interest for Makoto and seeing the truth and how she betrayed Makoto was so painful. Watching her die was heartbreaking.
As someone said in the other climax reasoning video, this one gives a feeling of "You're the killer and I will prove it here and now!" Vs V3 where its more like "I really dont want to accuse you but I have no choice" The other one is way more emotional, but they're both bops. personally I prefer V3's though
Is it bad that I’ve been watching true crime videos and as the lady making the videos explained how people were killed I imagined it as a danganronpa comic, the ones you do while this theme plays.
the original danganronpa is, and will always be the best game in the series. The concept of you being stuck in a school, only way out being to murder someone, is great. The second game doesn't work well. The idea of being stuck on an island? Seriously, I wouldn't mind being stuck on an island, but inside a school? No light of day? The third game is fine, but I feel like the "Ohh it was a show all along!!" just isn't the ending I want. But with the first game, the situation your in is actually depressing, and scary. Imagine YOUR stuck in a school, being constantly afraid you might be murdered by someone you trusted. And if someones after you, you have nowhere to go. You're stuck in a building with plenty of dead ends, while if your on an island, you can keep going for as long as you like. The general ambience of the first game cant be achieved in any other scenario. anyways, thanks for reading this long ass comment lol
The island thing still makes sense, you're pretty much isolated from the rest of civilization and you can't use a plane to get out, since they don't work. And who knows what's in the sea, even swimming for a long while would kill you after like a day or two. The school may be more claustrophobic, but the island leaves you unable to be saved other than by your own hands. And V3 has a prison, so it also works there.
@@ChiefMedicPururu Yeah but choosing being either trapped inside of a school for eternity or an island, i'd much prefer the island as theres much more space and i actually get to see outside. same goes for v3, although your area is a lot smaller, it still feels a lot more spacious than the original

You know this song makes me feel sad every time it plays in the comic sections. Like if you listen to it while looking at the whole comic being pieced before you it sort of creates this tragic vibe. Like figuring out the final moments of one of the character’s life, it just feels sad.
trigger happy havoc is the best danganronpa game imo. its so intensely nostalgic, everything about the game
@@plaidhatter1674This is going to sound strange, but I appreciate that comment you made, it made a difference for me because it's exactly how I feel
I LOVE THIS!! It's my fav OST of Dangan
makes me feel really desperate to finish the comic every class trial!
My favourite too!
IT FITS SO DARN WELL WITH THE MOMENT EVERYTHING FALLS INTO PLACE
I don't mind V3's version, but this one will always be superior.
V3's is more sombre which fits that game a lot more, since that game is a lot emotion heavy than the first 2.
@@graduatedpinksnowball668 this one sounds more somber to me
holy shit this music makes you wanna focus
People talk about v3's Climax Reasoning by saying how "emotional" that version is - as if this version isn't emotional.
This one is chock full of emotions.
This one is the goat
All of them are great.
I thought the V3 one was going to suck because people said this one was superior. Nah in the end both were somber bangers to cry and expose your homies' murders to
Here's everything that happened in this case!!
-Hajime
"you got that wrong"
ALLOW ME TO CUT THROUGH THOSE WORDS
Sore wa chigau yo!
Sore wa chigau zo!
Too early. This is DR1.
"The killer is.. You! "
Best OST in the game
FUKAWA ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME
ARE YOU OPENING THE DOOR OR CLOSING IT
I know your pain.
+Okapi540 Except I guessed right the first time so maybe I don't. But it made me mad that they made you have to make that choice.
damn I got it wrong in the first try. xD
I swear organizing things for the fat guy and ishimaru`s case was so hard xD
still getting it wrong after three replays
the second game fixed that by giving hints for the pictures you had, so it would me made clear what the action was. kinda wish they bought that into the first game when they added school mode but, that's just me.
This soundtrack dude!! Like how am I supposed to solve this case when this freaking fire music is playing!!!
Masafumi Takada, they always let him cook I swear!! And he cooked!!
Anyone wish for an ace attorney and danganronpa crossover
PhotonExplorer that would be sick
It'll be a hell of a sci-fi crossover
Probably not gonna happen though since Danganronpa is too violent :/
But it'd be cool as fuck
I have no idea how they would even go about doing that, but it’d definitely be interesting.
Maya and Phoenix get stuck in the middle of this killing game shit
How about this: Danganronpa characters get trapped in a murder game, and Ace Attorney characters have to save them by completing cases in the outside world. Eventually, the two parties meet in an ultimate Hope vs Despair trial, where all the mysteries are solved and Hope wins
This is perfect background music,
This music makes me think of someone putting the evidence together in a somewhat tired and stressed like way, knowing that someone will still die when the evidence becomes clear showing how grim the situation is.
Naegi was secretly the Super Duper High School Crime Manga Artist all along
my best friends are dying in this horrible murder game so im just gonna draw their deaths in a comic book
This theme always gives me chills when it starts playing
righttt it's my favorite
Been replaying all the games and the version of Climax Inference in DR1 really feels the most anxious, and I think that's because they don't give you any hints (but they do give you all of the panels at once, which I do like)
This is definitely the most beautiful song in the sound track. It feels extremely suiting for the context of the biggest most awful most tragic events that underly in this gut wrenching story. I adore this series.
Has some highs and lows. Remember really hating the second half of Danganronpa 2. This track is the best though.
This theme is so depressing...
...And then Climatic Return plays.

I hate how everyone's like: Ok, so Naegi's drawing a manga...
When the game literally tells you it's part of his mind.
All my homies love this soundtrack
Do you still do?
@@NickMario1 hell yea
this song is so beautiful
This song will always remind me of seeing Sayaka's terrified expression in that comic and it will always make me sad :(((
Yeah that face she makes showed how much she screwed the whole thing up
I mean.. she was willing to kill everyone just so she could keep her fame. I don't think she deserves any sympathy honestly.
My favourite soundtrack from the whole game, yeeessss

literally just finding out that this is another version “New World Order” I’m so incredibly late
Thea S HAPPY IM NOT ALONE BUT I WAS LIKE OH BOY
SAME OMG
I like how you can hear traces of New World Order in this track. Definitely fits in the same lane as the heroes coming out with a win for once in this series.
It’s not just traces, the whole melody’s here.
Imagine you hire a lawyer and he whips out a comic book in the middle of the court room
Closing argument : the blackened is you !
So as we can see from this comic I just drew, the suspect is undeniably YOU, *NAKED GREY MAN!*
I miss danganronpa

I played danganronpa trilogy last year and I already missed it :(

Piecing together Chihiro’s death was so sad to me, I felt so awful. This theme only intensified that.

i maybe can escape from the dr fandom but i cannot escape from dr itself
Jimmy Diofan No one escapes despair !
Eyyy Echidna pfp
I've already escaped from the fandom a long time ago, i barely see any posts or videos made by them, but, the soundtracks and memories from the game, those are unforgettable.
Ok, so I have just finished this game (I'm very late to the party, I know) and can I just vent here how absolutely amazing the closing argument always felt to do? You get a really creative way of reviewing along with it being a puzzle + it has a great artstyle and this absolute banger of a song plays. I was intrigued when I began playing, I was hooked when the first trial started and I was completely sold on this game when I first heard and saw THIS!
Can't wait to hear you say that after 2 and 3
@@RhySinn I finished 2 about a week ago. Enjoyed it even more than 1, which I was already in love with. The new set mechanic of the closing arguments took some getting used to, but overall, I felt the magic of 1's closing arguments again. Playing 3 right now btw. ^,^
i miss when i didn't know about this legendary series so i can watch it for the first time
The first time I did this part with Sayaka really hurt. I really liked her as a love interest for Makoto and seeing the truth and how she betrayed Makoto was so painful. Watching her die was heartbreaking.
This soundtrack always gives me chills and I love it.
If anyone ever explains an overview of my evil plans in painstaking detail I’m playing this song over it. No ifs, ands, or buts….Especially no buts….
“Here’s what happened...”
* pulls out a piece of paper and a crayon and starts drawing a comic *
I love the music 😍
Gotta say, this is possibly my favourite song. it's so intense and... climactic. I just love the feeling it gives off. really incredible soundtrack.
As someone said in the other climax reasoning video, this one gives a feeling of "You're the killer and I will prove it here and now!" Vs V3 where its more like "I really dont want to accuse you but I have no choice"
The other one is way more emotional, but they're both bops. personally I prefer V3's though
Imagine being the blackened and you’re just watching Makoto write a whole manga about how you killed a guy
It's time to Finish This
this song has to be one of my favorite trial songs.
Is it bad that I’ve been watching true crime videos and as the lady making the videos explained how people were killed I imagined it as a danganronpa comic, the ones you do while this theme plays.
I just love how insane the panels make Byakuya look, especially when he is suspending Chihiro.
Here´s my answer!
NOW I UNDERSTAND!!
Damn this brings back memories. It's been years since I last played the series
"Mukuro Ikusaba is the six-"
Shit. Wrong song.
they sound so simialr lol. Climax Reasoning and New World Order
the original danganronpa is, and will always be the best game in the series.
@@OutrideMaro The school wasn't THAT small, tho.
@@ChiefMedicPururu True, but still. I couldnt bare living in that school for over a year.
Yeah same its my favorite game in the series i didnt like the 2nd game for the reason you said
I'm sorry guys I know you all are grieving but I'm not finished drawing yet
Oh my god, I just heard that metallic tune in the background... This song got even better!!!
Is this what the dude who made Garfield was listening to as he wrote the comics?
"Meanwhile the killer, who was suspiciously grey and naked-"
Honestly this is the best anime i ever seen in my entire life-
1-mysterious and thrilling lore
2-Great tracks and themes
3-Interesting Characters
The story and characters were all well written.
Honestly I don’t think I’m ever gonna love an anime as much as Danganronpa
Is this song even in the anime? I only watched the first episode so idk.
