Just noticed these two characters were written by different people so maybe it wasn't intentional, but still interesting. Celestial being: says the 4th dimension isn't something we understand yet, but will. Eldritch being: Says the listener could never understand the 4th dimension. So they can never be the same as the eldritch being. Celestial: sees us as a child because of our humanity. Eldritch: sees us as a pet because of our humanity.
I love this concept because it makes me feel so many things that go against eachother. Like: yes thank you for adopting me, i feel safe, but also: what the hell that's weird I'm scared and also: what even is going on. Emotions galore! Thank you
As someone who really struggles really hard with ideas of death, and what comes after, this is really really helpful. It's so much more personal than just the idea of "you die, you go to heaven, hell, whatever, with billions of other people." Instead this proposes something so much more personal, and it helps. I swear I’ve listened to this video at least 6 times in the last few days, I’m officially obsessed with your parental + comforting audios. Would love to see a sequel to this or another audio with a parental tone like this one or the eldrich one from a few weeks ago

Well if you think too hard about the idea of existence. Like being a creature that is self aware. If there is no god of some sort then that means there is no purpose to existing and therefore when a creature dies it no longer has a purpose/meaning or consciousness. Assuming there is a god (as I believe as a Christian) then that means the god that created the universe we reside is most likely immortal, and has and will exist for eternity. The idea of infinity is nigh impossible for humans to comprehend. A creature or being with no beginning or ending. A being with infinite power. The idea is mind blowing and brain altering.

This is one of my favourite topics for videos. Especially as you sink with your imagination into warm darkness of things that are hard to imagine let's call it classical way. That wonderful voice only helps to make it even more comforting and pleasureful.

Who is canonically stronger? eldritch being or cosmic being parent? Because Cosmic seems like the safe universal tampering creature and the eldritch being seems like the “dangers to a cosmic being” that was talked about.

Sorry, when I heard the premise of the audio, this exchange of dialogue came right to my mind, couldn't resist. Your audio here is lovely Salem, this and "Caring Eldritch Beast" are my favorite.
As much as I love your work, this and the previous video have for some inexplicable reason make me feel so uneasy. I get that extra dimensional beings would find humans simple and primitive and would view us akin to the same way we would view ants... it's still so off. The way they brush off the listener character's entire life and way of living for what they deem "better" or more sophisticated. The way they almost trivialise their experiences as if they don't matter as much? In this kind of situation if I were the extra dimensional I'd still hold their human life and experience as valuable purely for the fact that it has a lot of emotional importance to the listener character (yknow, the future exists but the past still matters kind of narrative). Even if I personally don't see the importance of their mortal life. Just writing it off feels very distressing and causes existential dread. Also, rule of raising baby, don't make baby feel stupid, don't patronise or talk down to them, it can actually be upsetting. So this celestial being I find really annoying and off putting. Now, please don't take this as an insult or criticism. I just like analysing things, why I like them or why I find them off putting. A lot of people find this comforting, while I don't, I still find it narratively/conceptually interesting and a good way to turn my brain off from life stuff by analysing things I enjoy. I like the descriptions and explanations of things, creates vivid imagery which is really tough to do through auditory medium. And while I probably will opt out of future videos of this variety, I still encourage you to make them as other people obviously enjoy them and it's a great expression of your creative ability.
Honestly that's exactly how I felt, like I want to listen to the video cause relaxing voice and I'm glad other people like it, but I just end up feeling extremely insulted and angry at the characters, it's just so patronizing and has this very prominent theme of the listener not being in control of the situation at all, which some people like and that's awesome, but for me my first reaction is getting frustrated and off-put (just to be clear this is not hate for the creator, they make excellent content, this just isn't my cup of tea, and like the original commenter said other people are enjoying it and that's fine, I just was happy to see I wasn't the only one who felt off-put by the video)
@@ramennoodles3987 that's also kind of why I wrote this comment. I find it comforting when i see another person who shares my opinion. If there isn't I just sorta sit there and think "am I the only one who thinks this way?"
@@ramennoodles3987 both of you are right, and one thing I've noticed a lot about these types of audios that are meant to comfort the listener, is that they put the listener in very vulnerable and/or distressing situations and then attempt to solve them in ways that, if anything, infantalize the listener in a completely unhealthy way
the audios are incredibly interesting to analyze and very well made don't get me wrong, but for a lot of the same reasons they are incredibly off-putting and things that i think would mess up most people if they were put in that situation, making then not-so-comforting audios to listen to for some people
