@@MrAlberonen I Think many people don't use him because they use more the new characters. also, sorry if i sound rude but, you said in your Tokoyami video that Overhaul 2 only need 2 buttons to do his Bnb but Base Deku is worst
I just got the game yesterday and this tutorial really helped me and now i am a base deku main keep up the good work.(Also im not sure how to charge up his Q1)
It might be that I’m dumb but when I use his regular square combo it makes do a yellow before the last two hits and in the air I just do it as if it’s square square circle
Anyone else super irritated that after deku uses his super(big big flick) he stops moving he take a breath literally in the middle of a fight, and you’ve lost many matches because of this one huge opening? Also you’ve used all your meter so you can’t protect yourself with an assist? Yea that’s me. I learned today that a lot of what I do in my matches eats my meter and I never realize it... like dash canceling
Mr Alberonen I understand, it’s just that I’m new to this game I’ve only had it for less than a week and when I kept losing to him doing that I became very frustrated and didn’t like the drawback, a good amount of my matches would end up with me and my opponent being on super low health then I try to end the match with a PU1 and... I just croak because they’ve hit me with either a projectile or just took advantage of my stun and smacked me.
I've always wondered why people call him base/regular Deku rather than Air-force Deku. Since there Shoot-Style in the game aswell it would make sense if he were called Air-Force
also, I don't rely on wall splats too much, because they're a stage hazard, imo, so, I mainly like doing my training mode in UA Arena, in this game, as it's an even battlestage with no stage hazards, it's my favorite stage in the game
what is the dmg scaling on this character? I know he's supposed to be beginner friendly but this is ridiculous! In the hands of a pro this character mops the floor with everyone in the roster. And yet, he's not even that fun nor rewarding to play as. If they ever make a OJ3 they need to take Base Deku out of the roster and replace him with a new, hopefully more balanced and technical, Black Whip Deku. Shoot Style Deku should be the default Deku as he does a way better job of being an easy but still balanced beginner friendly character.

Base Deku is the Best Deku for sure, he and Uraraka are tied, for being the best
