When my son was young, he actually bolted out the front door and ran down the street in terror because his brother was trying to make him taste a Dino nugget. This ARFID knowledge is huge. I commend Patrick on trying all these new foods! My son is still afraid of food…. He’s 21.
I was lucky enough to “grow out of it” I hate to use the term because sometimes I question it I truly had it, but I wouldn’t eat ANYTHING growing up unless it was very very specific, my parents and grandparents couldn’t stand it and never understood it
I eat chicken every day but i have to buy chicken breast cut them in strips or slice them thin and i air fry them with diana original sauce with alot of garlic and ghost pepper sauce and i do like them more so dry then juicy but thats my choice. And i wat it with everything a Sandwich but with specific things or sald or i get a bean boritto and put my own Chicken in, i know it sounds weird but its amsizng
Does he like cucumbers? I have my own cucumber recipe let me know if your interested i make it everyweek its an obsession of mine i would love you both to try it.
Dino nuggets suck. Worse than regular chicken nuggets, people just don’t realize their nostalgia is the biggest thing that makes them like certain foods. Same goes for things like spaghettiOs. Genuinely horrible food but the ppl that had it as a child love it
@@JoraAustinI made homemade spaghetti - os. I saw a video on a channel I watch, she made them. Took just a few minutes. She used a copycat recipe she found on line. They were good, no preservative after taste

The easiest way I can explain it is... people who are extremely picky eaters. They don't like different consistency, or flavors, things like that. Most have only eaten a few specific things in their whole life. This guy is actually pretty awesome for going out of his comfort zone!
@kristinegutierrez701 it's more than being picky, it's like your brain thinks everything will poison you in some way. Not every case is this extreme buts it's definitely more than just "being picky" if you notice in almost every video his wife breaks down everything in the food he's about to try, he processes the information and probably reassures himself his wife isn't tryna murder him or that the food isn't harmful or disgusting because it come from a trustful source. Which can definitely ease the decision of eating or not.
@kristinegutierrez701 It's not anything like being a picky eater. Its either caused by autism, or food related trauma, like almost dying from an allergic reaction or choking. Also they believe it could be caused by certain gastric problems or some condition (I forgot the name) that makes your taste buds super sensitive.
Live Dino and breathe nuggets, so that combination as a child and now as an adult. I feel like the father from Step Brothers (the movie) every time I eat them 😂😂
