Bach was so good with the chromatic bass lines and key changes, made it seem so natural and beautiful. Never a more beautiful composer in my opinion.
They're scalar not 'chromatic' bass lines here !!
So a G to G# to A isn't chromatic?
@@mattbailey7049 It is chromatic.
I know it’s not baroque but Agustin Barrios is similarly styled in his compositions, the melody and baselines meld together seamlessly and like Bach, his music was just well done, what can I say, try out vals no 3 or 4 or un sueno en la floresta or Julia Florida just wow get that same pleasing feeling I get with Bach’s works
Bravo
This is playing with intent, clear and concise
Magnificent rendition! Guitar AND player are outstanding! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Wonderful playing, and the guitar sounds fantastic too
Extremely impressive. Yet another example of how The Old Tigers still can run with the Young Lions any day of the week.

Nicely put.
In the world of music only the old are tigers, the rest are cubs.

Bravo!
touchy and beautiful
Wonderful George! Absolutely fabulous music.
Magnifique interpretation. C'est si clair, si fluide.
Beautiful ♡♡♡
Lovely.
George is famous for being a wonderful player, and for being in the November 1982 "Randy Rhoads" issue of guitar player... which Nigel Tufnel was reading in Spinal Tap in the famous "why would you keep folding it" bread scene, where you could see George's face in the magazine.
😆… Nigel’s a professional….
so beautiful
His entire manner and style of playing and tone remind me of Segovia🥰…. very old school playing here.👍
Exellent!
Great job!
He's the one who played Toccata and Fugue! Genius!!
Perfecto!
✂
Que interpretacion mas bella , las obras faciles a veces son mas dificiles de interpretar . GENIAL .
estoy de acuerdo; a la mejor nuestras mentes estan muy associados con lo elevado que ya no podemos sencillamente regresar a lo basico.
Magnificent
Wow! Could anyone tell me who arranged this? It's the best arrangement for Air on a G string I've heard. I'd love to find the music.
+bogbel1 It's George's arrangement. We'll see if it is available for sale.
Cheers,
GSI
I play the arrangment by Peo Kindgren. Very nice. Check it out her with a video: shop.per-olovkindgren.com/?product=air-sheet-music
I also really like Per-O-Lov Kindgren's performance, however, his original video is of very low quality, very little light, filmed far from the instrument, in my opinion, it harms us at the moment of learning, because It really is an icon. Already this video of George was perfect, filmed next to the instrument, didactic same. He is to be congratulated.
I have Per Olov's arrangement, and though I like it, I just feel this one is so much better. This one's also probably a little more difficult to play.
If a fairy would grant me two wishes I would like to be able to play the guitar as well as you do, Mr. Sakellariou. The second wish would be to own such a marvellous instrument.
Perfeito ! Técnica muito boa, sem palavras.
Que lindo.
Fantastisch!!!!
bravo!!
could you give me the sheet of this song?
gaboleeeeeee :p
Gripping interpretation; he does include a tad more rasps on the same note (if u listen attentively due to a flickering of the hand) : yet brilliant in my estimation.
Beautiful piece, great technical performance! Bravo👏🏼 Only thing is the piece looses all the passion passion and feeling when played too quick.
It looks like 4 people can't play guitar or don't know it takes to play without buzz... awesome playing :)
My friend love from Dr Fu of Royal Viking and Crystal. 👾👾👾👽👾👾👾
This is really good. If you capo on the second fret, you play this in the original key (DMj) and the Rodriguez would sound better. This is more suited to a more modern guitar from the English school of luthiers.
A bit too fast for me.
And her face, at first just ghostly...
+chauncey gardener .....mistakenly imagined that Procol Harum ripped off Bach..... :-)
It's called "Air on the G string because of its arrangement for solo violin ( played entirely on the lowest string of the violin. It's an air from the orchestral suite in D by Bach
too fast for me, people always play this piece to fast and it loses feeling
Feeling isn't about speed, it's about what you put into the guitar and how one conveys what they feel through the guitar.
your rushing george
