The Futbol Game

It's a Belizean Thing! Some of the Guatemalan girls we put on a retreat for challenged us to a game of futbol that night. We showed up as riffraff, barefoot or wearing shoes that are definitely not meant to be worn in sports, while they showed up decked out in full soccer gear. But we fought hard, gave it our all and even held our own against them. They may have crushed us, but they will never crush our spirit! Haha it was a ton of fun and we will never forget the joy from that night! (As well as all the blisters from running barefoot in that grass...it was SO rough hiking the Mayan Ruins the next day!!! But definitely worth it)
