Well, as it turns out, I did not screw up because I have an 8 quart instant pot and Chef AJ says you can add the corn at the same same time as all the other ingredients if you have a large instant pot. Eaten two large bowls of this chili and the more I eat it the more I love it.. Thank you Chef AJ and thanks Charles. Also just for being there for me when I needed you..

I’m an ex-pat in Australia so things are way more expensive here (eg $4.00/pound for dry pinto beans or black beans) but my 20 year old daughter and I push forward anyway and you are truly an inspiration. I really miss the live Weightloss Wednesdays! I only watched the replays even but there was something about them that almost felt like I was there. There is nothing wrong with the new ones, they just don't grab me the same way. I really miss the interactions of Eden and Kenny in the videos too! Yes the questions were repetitive sometimes but I find it helpful to hear the same info presented slightly ways over and over again, especially since we are constantly bombarded with the opposite messages from the rest of society!
I will still do them live occasionally when I have guests. As a matter of fact the next 2 Wednesdays will be live, With my book out now I really don't feel there is anything more I can add to the subject especially of folks will read the book.

Always interesting to see what and how things are available in different spots of the world: I live in the capital of Switzerland and there is no way to obtain frozen shopped mushrooms, pre-xhopped / peeled garlic, the biggest can of Black beans is a 1/3 of a Cup, nothing in Cans is salt free, tons of canned tomatoes, none of the types roasted etc. Nutritiinal Yeast? You have to seaech Special, small Health Störes try to Order from Germany. I do not mind, just Takes more money, Time and effort. We are dairy country....

Is it just me? Every time I make this in the Instant Pot, I get "Food Burn" warning and it could not go through the pressure cooking as a result. I'd stir and try again, and get the error again. But after a couple of times, the chili is cooked, so I eat it. Despite the frustration, it's delicious. I just wonder if my Instant Pot is faulty or this does happen to others too.
UPDATE: Cut this recipe in half, here's why ... After signing up for Chef AJ's email list, I was expecting to get this (and a few other recipes) for signing up, but that didn't happen. However, I'm persistent and found this recipe on the Instant Pot site when I searched for Chef AJ. I loved how simple this looked, and it was! However, I made this last night and it was tasteless. I had my wife taste it as well. Same response ... smelled good, but horribly bland. I even went so far as to double the spices! So, when you try this for yourself (which I recommend you do!), I would recommend CUTTING THE RECIPE IN HALF (EXCEPT for the spices) to save yourself a lot of wasted food if you don't care for it. ------- ORIGINAL POST: Looks great and I would LOVE to try this out tomorrow night as I have all of these ingredients BUT there were no mention of the spices. AJ simply mentions she pre-mixes her spices for convenience. You mentioned the measurements for the bulk ingredients, but not the spices. Anyone know what this spice blend is? Help!

Maybe a bit TMI but since eating SOS free with lots of veggies and limited fruit, I don't go to the bathroom as often as before, I'm not as regular. Is this normal or is my digestive system not able to handle all of the fiber?
CHEF AJ Thanks for the reply. I noticed too that it gets better when I eat raw carrots! But it can also be because I under eat a bit now, it seems like I only eat about 1200 cal/day now whereas before I’d have at least 1800/day. Is this bad?
I have found that cremini mushrooms have a lot more flavor.

You said in your video that you were setting the instant pot to cook for 12 minutes however you actually set it for 6 minutes. Why the difference?

She said it was last set on twelve for a previous recipe and she changed it to 6 for this recipe
