From SoCal myself “The Train Shack” is also my brick and mortar go-to. He’s right, the store layout is modest but very well done in a relatively small space and much can be learned in viewing it. Great people in their who will set you in the right direction whatever the price point. Excellent video!

What a neat guy and story! And referencing the last line in the video....has he built another layout?
I don’t know. When Jim and I did this video, he sounded very serious about tearing it down and building something new. I will have to find his email address and reconnect with him to find out.

@@OGRRUclips Hi Rich, it's Terry Johnson. I think it would be neat to have the original release date posted on these legacy videos so if we run into these layout owners we aren't completley shocked by how much they've aged! Referring only to myself of course....

Terry, it's hard to imagine to tear down something like this, build another one somewhere else. I have three layouts but just operate one
