I have already made a few comments in the previous interview episodes. As I served under him in the Chennai City Police, I can say even a lot more about his leadership qualities and professionalism. Undoubtedly, he is the role model to the younger generation particularly those in the Police Department. He is my Pride and I'm always proud of him. I would like to mention his family also, Madam Vijay Kumar, his son and daughter are such assets to him in all aspects. Myself and my family had experienced memorable and warm hospitality qualities from them. Whoever is available at home attends us personally even though there are servants at home. I noticed that there is no pride at any causes among them. Such a great and dedicated family. I wish and Pray Almighty God to bless Sir and his family abundantly with good health, happiness and peace. I also thank Prof. Parveen Sultana to bring us such a wonderful interview from a wonderful and a highly dedicated Police Officer.
My parents went to him with evidence of police not investigating an case properly but the case was influenced by Muthukaruppan DGP. He said he cannot go against him and asked to take the matter to the court without even having interest to read the evidence and give the benefit of doubt. Cowards.

Important point raised by Dr. Vijayakumar is enabling the police force to function independently and judicious ly by curbing undue influence/ political interference on it. But states wont agree for such a move. But centre should take a firm resolve to constitue an independent body which should have absolute control over appointments, functioning, administration, transfer,and proper discharge of duties by police. The constitunal independent body can be manned by members from state and central and retired highcourt and Supreme court judges. The members of such body csn be nominated on the recommendations of state for state member and centre for central member and judicial member with the recommendation of chief justice of concerned state approved by a collegium judges of supreme court
Veerappan should have been given general pardon , not only he has done mistake even many VIP had contact with him against to the law were not brought to light.

But regarding the gunning down of Verrappan but my doubt personally if the said person was involved in gunning down of tuskers and feeling of sandalwood trees,my question is simple where did all the said items marketed,did an effective network logistics system work.Could the said person and his group alone be involved.These questions have no clarity.Pleaae clarify.
