- Yes, conversion stories are our FAVORITE stories but Sequoia's story ranks among the top!
Sequoia knew very little about the LDS Church (otherwise known as the Mormon Church) in her growing up years. She had seen the Book of Mormon but never thought too deeply about it, though she always had a belief in God. Later on, Sequoia was browsing RUclips and learned about Saints Unscripted through a critic's channel. She found herself agreeing with the things that Saints Unscripted was sharing and decided she wanted to form her own opinion. Unfortunately, her curiosity spiked during the pandemic so there weren't many missionaries or church meetings available. But the missionaries finally stopped by her house and she was stoked!!
Watch the video to find out what happens next!
Thanks so much, Sequoia, you are remarkable!!

Pretty sure President Hinkley said, talking about people who speak against the church. "what they don't realize is that they are furthering the work ". Sequoia is the perfect example of that statement. Love her honesty. Her testimony strengthens my faith in Jesus Christ. Thank you.
God used Lucifer to further his plan, so why not those who Lucifer has deceived?

@@mikkifrompreston4396 our branch is growing very quickly. It was recently announced by the stake presidency we're getting a larger building as ours is getting crowded. My former branch back in my home state had maybe 15 members when I moved several years ago and that branch is slowly growing.
I also found LDS Church through anti-LDS video when I was searching for religious information, I was atheist and searching, found this site and watched a few videos and choose to contact Missionaries. I am set to be baptised on the Sept 30th.
Congratulations! 🤍🤍🤍
This is a beautiful story and she has a beautiful soul. So happy and grateful the only clips and sound bites actually match her testimony instead of the worldly, popular media that are often used. Such an enhancement to Sequiota's story.
To know Sequoia is to love her! She's one of the most faithful people I know! If we all were as excited about the gospel as she is the world would be a better place:)
I am a testament to the power of anti-mormon literature. I read plenty and put my rational thinking cap on. I still joined the church and have been a member for almost 30 years.
Thank you Sequoia! Wonderful story!
💕☀️
I LOVED THIS!! Welcome to the family, Sequoia! I am also a convert (30 years now) and my testimony burns hotter today than ever! 🔥🔥 I’m excited for you to go to the temple… that experience will be EPIC!!! ❤
We'd love to hear more about your conversion story if you'd like to message us on our Instagram account.
Congratulations on your baptism. All the best!
Thank you very very much!
Thanks for the interview. As an "Oldy" I love to hear stories of the way the restored gospel is sounding a harmonious tone with some many of this wonderful rising generation.
And yes, that's a wonderful recommendation for investigators to download the library. It is such a wealth of information and inspiration. I do a lot of driving and it is wonderful to be able to listen to General Conference talks going back into the 1970s. To hear the testimonies of the faithful like Hugh B. Brown, Bruce R. McConkie, The Church's greatest wordsmith Neal A. Maxwell, and my favorite missionary Legrand Richards, that is a great way to feel the spirit of them and strengthen your own testimony. For the youth of the Church there is a wealth of inspiration that never runs dry when you hear these inspired leaders expound the scriptures and exhort us to look into Christ.
Great thoughts! Thanks for watching PapaKent!
I totally believe that 👍
Thank you, dear sister. I felt the Spirit as you spoke. I felt the love of God.
I identify with her when she said that her interesting in learning more grew into looking forward to the gospel message and finding comfort in it. It is that way with me too.
Thank you for your testimony Sequoia! ❤️🙏
That’s the cutest story! Wow she was definitely prepared to hear!
Sequoia, you are beautiful inside and out! Thank you for sharing your experience ❤
Nothing like a good convert video during a Minecraft run. Loved it!
Hopefully no creepers snuck up on you!
I love that your name is Sequoia. The seed of the Sequoia is so tiny, but then it grows to be the tallest tree in the world. I'm excited to see where God takes you!
Beautiful testimony, you can see the light in your eyes. Thank you for sharing your story.
Sequoia girl!! Your Father in Heaven is so proud of you. How could He and Jesus not be. Way to go. Love you and welcome.
Sequoia seems like one of those people you just want to jump around with and have a super fun party with. What a great energy she has!

This was such a great interview! What an amazing girl! Thank you so much for sharing your experience and I'm so excited for you!!! I love having the Gospel in my life and it has blessed me beyond anything that I could have dreamed of. Wishing you all the joy in the world! ❤
I'm a classical bible based christian. I had lds sisters knock on my door a while ago before I knew anything about the Mormons, and they challenged me to dive into lds church doctrines, and I did. I told them that if I'll find any contradiction between the Mormon church and classical Christianity then I will go to Mormons to witness. I've been doing so for the past 5 years and I'm very thankful for it.
What a beautiful conversion story.
Sequoia thank you for sharing your sweet testimony. It’s wonderful hear your excitement and Love of the gospel. You are a blessing in Gods kingdom as you continue to share your testimony of Jesus Christ you will be instrumental in helping “GATHER ISREAL.” 👍👏👏❤️
I’m loving these stories
Glad you're enjoying them!
I hope Sequoia gets to go to the Kirtland Visitors Center soon since she is in Ohio. God bless her. Thank you Saints Unscripted.

Yippie. My dad is a convert. Thank goodness he stopped drinking and started really Having Faith in Jesus Christ. And thePlan of Redemption, Happiness, Salvation . ❌⭕️❌⭕️❌
13:16. There are no accidents. I had unexpected overtime with a co-worker who I wouldn't expect to see. She accepted The Book of Mormon. We will see how things go from here; but, I wonder if God was throwing His weight around so I would spend 3 hours with that person.
There is a Pastor named Pastor Jeff. He has a RUclips channel named Hello saints. He is investigating the church and is currently studying The Book of Mormon to draw his own conclusions.
I would call this period your honeymoon phase of your conversion. It is magical and exciting. Let me tell you that it only gets BETTER and truths get clearer. Everything becomes richer and more meaningful as the Holy Ghost deepens our understanding.
This comment is severely underrated!
Nice!
Only the true church would be one of the most persecuted churches in the world.
The musical The Book of Mormon introduced me to the religion (hilarious show btw) but afterwards in 2015 I met with missionaries and began reading the scriptures. The scriptures touch my heart in a way I can’t describe and I’ll always have them with me.
I never joined the church because of too many inconsistencies in various things the church does (and doesn’t) do and etc. But I’ll always be grateful these scriptures exist.
Thank you for sharing your story and your appreciation for the scriptures. It's wonderful to hear that they have touched your heart in a meaningful way. Everyone's spiritual journey is unique, and we wish you the best as you continue that journey.
There is this never-Mormon who watches this channel. Adventures with Lewis. He is very respectful and not anti-Mormon/LDS, but he is critical in a respectful and balanced way. It is very refreshing to get that type of take rather than toxic anti-church stuff. I am not sure if the speaker was referring to Adventures with Lewis at one point.
Love your story, Sequoia! (And your name!) Quick question, the sister missionary in the black shirt (in your baptism day picture)... she looks like she's from my ward. Is her last name Miranda? 🙂
Just started listening, the wife introduced me. I have a friend that has a great comeback story, how do I get him on here?

Well, them Mormons got another one. Congrats Mormons!
Love the condescending undertone.
@@theincrediblerodofiron304 yep, and until your religion accepts Joseph Smith as a fraud and stops denying church marriage to gay people, I will continue to make remarks because the religion needs to change. It’s past due, just like when the LDS church finally lifted the ban on black men receiving the priesthood.
Am wondering if anyone can see what I wrote here?
Anyone?
What happened to Kwakus? I notice he is not in any videos
He’s on another show, midnight Mormons.
Kwaku and several of our other previous hosts have left to pursue other opportunities and endeavors. However, we wish them all the best and are grateful for the amazing hosts we have currently on the show :)
From Ohio? But Sequoias exist only in California.
I think they’re only endemic to California. There is one in southern Utah. It was planted some time last century, and survived
@@mikefoxtrot1314 Wonderful! I hope it survives and grows huge.

Well the lds Church were one of the first churches to produce anti Catholic literature.
I met missionaries who had this in the 1980s in the UK. Also anti Church of England.
Often missionaries persist with socially vunerable people who are perhaps at a loose end or new in a town and lonely because this type of person responds initially moreso than a person who has a balanced well established family and friendship group.

I’m yet to see a definition of “anti-Mormon.” Is any critique of Mormonism “anti-Mormon?”
Nah fr I’m sick of that
No not every critique of the church is anti-Mormon. But is hard to give a good definition of anti-Mormon. What someone considers anti-Mormon another may not.
To me, it's a matter of endlessly pushing ideas that are factually baseless (not to mention often incoherent), and then simply repeating the same things, over and over, and badgering people, without ever responding to faithful LDS responses to the criticisms. It gets obvious (if it's coming from the very same people) that they have no real interest in engaging ideas, but of simply painting the beliefs or history of the Church in a bad light, even if they're not even (standard, doctrinal) LDS beliefs. I like the term "rumor mongers."
@@towardcivicliteracy If someone had a critique of the church that were factually-based, would that qualify as “anti-Mormon?”
@@caseykaelin9430 This video, along with the most-liked comment under it-seem to imply that anti-Mormon literature can bring people closer to the LDS church. Is that your experience?
Police: Sir, this spot is for the handicapped only.
Citizen: Other than the human sacrifice, genocide and plagues the Old Testament god is good.
Police: Sorry to bother you. Have a nice day!
Is it possible for a message to be comforting but also not true?
That depends. If the message is comforting you in sin, then it is of Satan. But if the message calls upon you to repent and comforts you from your affliction and reassures you of the love of Christ for you, despite all of your imperfections, then, that is a true message of God. And that is the message that The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints offers to Everyone on this planet. The God of Israel does not give us comfort in our sins. The God of Israel rather gives us comfort in overcoming our sins.
@@zionmama150 Is it possible for a non-LDS Christian message to be comforting?
@@mikefoxtrot1314 of course
@@racealexander1660 Is a feeling of comfort a reliable way to determine truth, as the video implies?
@Mike Foxtrot I think that if that 'comfort' is also accompanied by a sincere desire to seek the truth, to improve, to grow and become the best we can be, then yes. But that word is tricky. Because it can also be negative, like if we want to grow, we can't stay in our comfort zone. We have to push ourselves and be uncomfortable at times (maybe physically or emotionally) Right? But i think if we are always striving, we can be guided by the Light of Christ to know what is true and what we need to do with our lives. Ultimately if we are seeking God, he will help inspire us to continue on a path or eventually turn us to the right one.
