So happy Photon Orbital got reprinted in this set. I just built Galaxy-Eyes and i was NOT spending 20-30 bucks per copy on that secret rare! Excited for the Black Luster Soldier - Legendary Swordsman, planning on building BLS in the future this year. Other than that, these small support cards like Coelocanth and Red-Eyes Spirit are gonna be nice, and the new Gate Guardian archetype support looks super cool, definitely gonna be building that.

The legacy support (Gate Guardian) is pretty fun for casual play despite being long overdue. Regardless, the set overall is very cool but nothing crazy.

Yet theres like 4 blackwings here...for reasons I guess. IM JUST SAYING...those blackwings could have been cool Red Eyes reprints/collectors rare potential.

That's why Red-Eyes Soul is here, as are a lot of the other cards. The Gate Guardian stuff is exclusively here because of the TCG, and it's surprisingly good for what it is. The reprints seem to be half bulk, about a third necessary/theme cards for the new Gate Guardian Deck, and the rest is competitive reprints like Avramax and Baronne.

This set is Ancient Guardians all over again, just part of the TOCH-KICO line as opposed to the GEIM-ANGU line (though you could argue that KICO was pretty bad, as well)
@Papyrus1910 they did make amazement dominator arlekino but i have no idea what he does for the deck other than just tagging out for the other arlekino.
They should have went all in on Gate Guardian. Don’t just make it like xyz dragon with the subfusions they should have made fusions with the same monster like Gate Guardian of ultimate thunder made of three Sangas and etc. Sure it would have looked stupid and taken up like 20 cards but think of the memes!!!
They're so atrocious to open I don't understand why Konami sets these up the way they do. 3-4 ultras per box with like 1/4 chance at a CR. It just feels so bad to open unless you pull a CR and even then half the CRs are so mediocre with these sets

Labyrinth Shadow is actually one of my all time favourites. I am stoked to see this theme getting some support
