This is an amazing Chinese BL Series of 12 Episodes that we all have been waiting for since the pre-release of the 4 first Episodes in early August 2024 ... !Having two couples interconnected by friendship increases the potential of the story for self-reflecting moments between all characters. There is parental abuse, there are coming out issues, there are hearing impairing issues, there is Alzheimer, and there is the world of painting as alternative way of emotional expression for the lead couple. When I watched the first four Episodes back in August I was amazed by the mix of others stories I could see amalgamated in this new story. - I could see the boys different ways of dealing with XING's grandma suffering from Alzheimer from "Alone With Me" (2023) here when dealing with QIN XIAO's grandfather being lost on his own on the streets. - I could see the abusive and homophobe father from "The Miracle of Teddy Bear" (2022) hitting his little boy because he was painting a rainbow here with QI LU's father brutal rage over him over the years. - I could see KOHEI struggling with his life and his feelings for TAICHI due to his hearing impaired situation in "I Hear The Sunspot" (2024) here with TAN YIN feeling helpless and despair before LIU MING YANG was able to provide him with the proper hearing aid. - And I could see SHIN drawing with a passionate hear NEO's face in the Episode 5 of "3 Will Be Free" (2019) in the same magical and emotional way both QIN XIAO and QI LU draw each other's portrays. It is this amazing amalgam of other stories in one what makes this Series really special. On top of that we have a beautiful cinematography, covering many different rooms, frames and spaces, allowing different lightening for each scene, and introducing the chiaroscuro for intimate emotional scenes as a cinematographic recreation of the Renaissance painting technique. The soundtrack reinforces the emotions of the story, and the locations accentuate the social and financial differences between the characters very well. We also have an amazing entire cast of actors in this Series bringing all the characters alive, and making the story gain a strong naturalistic feeling that makes us all believe the story to be real. The portrayal of emotions from all characters moves us all in different ways, from anger, to compassion, to despair and helplessness into cheerful. I believe that feeling the characters, their struggles and their needs is the best indicator of how good a production actually is.The lead characters have a long way into their destiny, and there are going to be many situations dragging them back in their path pursuing their own personal realization as invidious and their ways to love, but we can tell how strong their encouraging and empowering influence on each other already is at the end of EP 4. I am really looking forward to see them all becoming the best version of themselves in the following 8 Episodes to come. Cheers…!
