Old rock quarry just off I-70. Imagine the finds in 1000 years.

NYC has landfill in four different states, NYC sanitation takes 12 tons of household trash a day and the private companies takes 13 tons of trash a day

I don’t get why they don’t just burn the trash and bury the ash? Don’t they burn trash to produce energy?Do you know how much landfill space they would save by just burying ash instead.

I have wondered the same thing for years. The burning would produce good carbon dioxide smoke for plants to take in, so they can release oxygen for us.
Some people see smoke and yell fire. Not likely they will ever yell _OXYGEN!_

Burning trash is very expensive we looked in to it to build an incinerator will cost 500 million to a billion dollars for the size of the one we need it's cheap to bury the trash and make a mountain

@@justincrigger4205 I get the economics of it. But if communities and states pull their resources together they could probably be able to build a few at a lower cost to everybody.

Never in my life have I ever smelled something as bad as the i70 - 270 junction. Its smells like frothy hot shit has been cooked in a giant pot. You can literally smell the heat
