With my dolls I create/ customize I put in a glass storage cabinet for all to see. Those are my OOAK. With my Mattel Barbie originals, I leave them in the box and packaging. I then put them in the library on the top most shelves so my grandchildren do not bother them. I have a little over 100 dolls, and I try to contain myself. As I age, I prefer to make OOAK and create their clothing. I also create my own Barbie houses from card board, foam board and wood. I have 13 houses I have made. Each house is totally different, based on the dollies who lives in it. Sometimes I will make custom furniture. If I buy doll furniture I only buy Mattel furniture. I have been a Barbie collector now for 45 years. So, yeah- storage can be challenging. Keep up the good work and I enjoy your videos.
Wow 13 houses! You must have a huge house to be able to have that many doll houses! I need more space to do all the things I like with my dolls. Thanks for sharing about your collection. I bet its amazing! It sounds like it is.
So happy I found your channel, you have a great collection. I am a new collector and have been trying to think of a creative way to display my favorite dolls. The acrylic shelves are perfect!!!
I'm glad you got some helpful tips. A suggestion I have for the acrylic shelves is to get them deeper than I did mine. Mine are about 1.5 inches deep and that doesn't give much space for the feet to rest at angles if necessary especially for the boys. Thats what I would do differently next time.
Awesome 👏 I’m always excited to see how others store and display their dolls and accessories. You have a great system, I definitely saw some good tips I will be using for sure. I’m glad to see a video, I do enjoy your channel, your collection is fantastic. Thanks so much for sharing 🥰😉🤗
Yay! I'm so happy you found some useful info here! And even happier to see you in the comments! Hope to see you again in future discussions! Have a dolly day!
Absolutely! Its been holding up well. And if they get a little loose, I just switch around the spot where the tacks are and its good as new. U can also hide stuff inside the boxes if necessary, brushes, combs, hair ties, stuff to help spruce up the dolls on display quickly.
Thank you for sharing, you have a great collection. I don't even have a quarter of what you have, but my adult daughter thinks something is wrong with me. LOL
You're just a creative person with an appreciation for art and beauty. Its ok if others don't get why you love dollies. Thanx for hanging here with us a while
I love your collection. My organization system is similar to yours, but smaller... much smaller. I love the idea of using BMR boxes to create a wall display. Great idea.
I have really had to condense so much. And everything was confusing all over my room, closet and house before I invested in the dresser that is spacious enough to hold everything I have while narrow enough to take up little floor space. Adonis found it at a thrift shop for $35!
Awesome collection👏! It was so fun seeing all your storage ideas 👍 I find storing my dolls to be difficult so I have most in a hanging plastic shoes storage 😄 my doll clothes I keep in separate small clear storage bins though I do love how you have all your clothes hanging up 😃
Thanks. I have an updated system i started using for my clothing that I need to share. I have shared a bit during my live shows but since they don't show up as regular uploads, a lot of people probably missed those episodes. I'm planning to edit them and upload so people can see my updated system...
Omg, I'm so excited that I stumbled across this video! This is so very inspiring. I have a Dolliverse room too!! But I have severe organization issues and can't seem to figure out a perfect display method. I want a makeover for my Dolliverse!! (I love that term!! I'm going to use it now, thank you!! 😊)
I'm more excited u stumbled across the video! Hopefully I will see you more often in the comments section. I'm even making a dolliverse save file on my sims4 game so I can play with my dolls virtually when I can't be bothered to handle them in real life. 🤣🤣🤣 I'm a mess.
I suppose it depends on what kind of walls you have. I'm not really worried about holes in the wall, considering I'm not drilling into it. But I live I'm an apartment right now and when we move they will just renovate and repaint everything. I figure holes from tacks are smaller and easier to blend than holes from nails and screws. 😬 thanks for stopping by! 🤗
You have a lovely collection. I really like the BMR Boxes tacked on the wall as a type of shelf. I might just do this myself! Thanks for a great video.
For the dolls clothes, I just saw another RUclipsr used binders with clear coupon protectors to put the clothes in. It seemed like a good way to keep the clothes organized but also on display
I don't collect them in particular, mostly modern dolls because I'm obsessed with joints. 🤣 sometimes I come across older dolls that have nice faces and I transplant them onto newer bodies. And I have a few older dolls that were gifts. I do have silkstone dolls that are newer, with jointed limbs, which I adore. It really just depends on the doll, to be honest.
Here's hoping you don't have an earthquake. We had one in So Cal a year ago (2021) that rolled and rolled and all my accessories in my dioramas fell from where they were. Once back in maybe 2008 we had one that was a sharp jolt to the south followed by a sharp jolt to the north and every one of my 16" dolls on saddle stands came down. The only one who didn't was on (what I refer to as a) kotex stand, but she wasn't standing - more like looking like she was flying.
😁 no worries, just make sure to add Only what you love, not what's "trending". When I started collecting i was obsessed with quantity and having the newest dolls because everyone was buzzing over them. As time went on I realized my tastes are more particular and its ok to not have certain dolls if you just aren't feeling them. Some ppl add dolls they don't even like because of imaginary resale value in the future but usually don't even end up selling them later anyway. As long as u enjoy your collection, having 10 or 100 doesn't matter. In fact, I think each individual doll gets more attention and priority when the collection is smaller. Trying to downsize my own right now. 🤣
that would be madam LAVINIA with the gold earrings, from the harlem theater collection by carlyle nuera . I believe one other doll has this head sculpt, holiday barbie 2016
Perhaps instead of piercing their clothes to the wall with a tack, would it work the same if instead you took a small amount of hair, wrapped in around the tack and push the tack in the wall? It could help preserve their clothes.
Yes it does work like that as well, I've done that with some of the dolls. Also, I feel like a little tack or double stick tape may do the trick. Though I haven't done that yet.
Hi there... I don't recall where I found the hat, probably came with a fashion pack or on a doll I purchased previously. His top is from the BARBIE LOOKS collection, wave 1. The blonde ken came with that top. And the pants are by integrity toys, sweat pants that I got in an outfit set. So expensive, but great quality. Thanks for stopping by! Have a dolly day.
@@BrokenDollyTV Thank you for the info 🙂 That doll is so handsome! To bad hes so pricey though, the cheapest price for him was $300 😩 hopefully one day I could get him, wish me luck lol.
Thank you for your tour! I am very impressed with your system and as my collection grows I will need to incorporated some new systems. The biggest take away was the multiples; donor bodies, Looks dolls (such a good investment) were an eye opener. Made to move is must have if they become characters in my stories. I can’t wait for the new made to move Ken body types- slim and broad. I have a fashionista 176 called Simon who is a trans man. I like him to be shorter and thinner than standard Ken. But if Simon becomes a major character it won’t be possible to rebody him consistent with the character.
I needed to organize my doll space because this tiny apartment has really challenged how I manage my collection and hobby. Glad to share whatever I can to help people get maximum value in their personal collections and hobby. Always welcome to ask questions and I will do my best to answer what I can. Either in a reply or in a video. Have a dolly day!
Good observation! Tabitha is originally toy story 3 barbie. She is my substitute for the career girl version which I chose not to add because I wasn't interested in any of the clothing or items she comes with. So I decided to make my own interpretation of the superstar face for my rewind squad. 😁
Gypsie, do your dolls on the acrylic display gets dusty as it is open display? I always wanted to have the dolls display on the wall but dust will annoy me
No. They stay out for weeks at a time without dust collecting. But you can also use feather duster to brush them off daily or weekly, if you want them out longer. I always display my dolls without being covered. It probably depends on where you display them too. Some environments are more prone to dust than others
I would try experimenting with a small group and observing how long it takes before dust accumulates enough for you to change the clothes or dolls. I feel like they are trapped when I have them inside the boxes. And if I had an enclosed case, I would definitely use it. But its not a necessity
She was originally a barbie fashionistas deluxe pack doll. There was a few different dolls in that series. She was the one that wore a visor and a see thru purple jacket, along with a light teal sporty type dress.
I have got Barbie doll I have got a small bedroom how can I storage my walking toy horse with out them breaking legs Need thy too sale some they sale stuff on eBay other store make others kids happy 😃
Perhaps, if it can be displayed on a shelf on a wall it may be an option. Not sure how big the horse is, is it in barbie doll scale? Gotta get creative with storing dolls, somehow make it part display, part storage.

Ebay! Just search korean traditional dress for barbie doll or hanbok for dolls
