Would be cool to see an updated version of this video... by now Meshy has shipped some updates to their algorithm, and CSM 3D also just significantly improved their Image-To-3D AI, so a comparison between those two would be very interesting, maybe with more focus on Image->3D instead of Text->3D?

This is useful tech. I created a 3D version of a deadfellaz nft in AI and Photoshop. Used meshy to 3d it and then put it in a volume mesher then used re-mesher to give me a nice simple head model with hair accurate to the original reference. Pretty good work flow for someone that has no traditional modeling skills. I could then use a simple Funko pop free model as a base and I I've achieved my goal with relative ease.

Hi Travis, thanks for these videos. I have tried Meshy but I'm not getting your same results. Can it be cause I don't have a Pro plan? I'm trying it with the basic free 200 credits. Thanks

Hi there. Results should be the same regardless of the plan you have. All the pro plan does is give you more credits. It does t change the functionality. It can be hit or miss sometimes and the prompt writing has the most impact from what I’ve seen.

I've been really happy with Meshy. I thought i'd try a simple enough project with dinosaurs. ( Everybody knows dinosaurs). I found out quickly that Meshy recognizes Real Names like 'hadrosaur' or anklyosaurus'. Yes, it has limitations, it does strange things, it also has a bit of a 'failure rate', but when Meshy got it right, it did a really good job.

This is exactly the video I have been looking for. But how does Genie make money? Whenever you review something that is "free" that needs to be covered and revealed

My understanding is that they make money through their other tools. The new "Dream Machine" AI video tool, for example, has a pricing structure.

Try Rodin Ai. It will blow your mind.
