      @@TahaWasiq i am orthodox catholic christian but i appreciate islam because of the similarity with christianity, the only difference is that in christianity jesus is god and in islam he is a prophet, my conclusion is this, both christianity and islam follow god, Islam in one way and Christianity in another, if anyone is wrong God help him, peace be with you brother.

      @@JesusXXL I am pleased to know that you think so. Prophet Muhammad was a tolerant man and had given great honour to the Christian communities under his rule. Both Christianity and Islam are paths to the same God; there is only one! 😊 The little differences should never make us overlook the big similarities.

If you are a Muslim I am going to tell you one thing, I am glad to have come across someone like you because you speak wisely brother, in my life I have never met such a tolerant Muslim, because the image I have of Muslims due to the news on tv is quite bad and meeting you makes me happy, as an orthodox Catholic Christian and due to the position of the ecumenical patriarchate that I have and for which I work, I bless you in the name of the great father who is God, in the name of the "great I am" .

      After a few minutes trying to read what's written on it, I'm so glad that Allah (ﷻ) made me able to read it eventually☺️
      By the way, as a Turk myself, I can definitely confirm that the words in the sentences are 100% the same as in Turkish language being used nowadays even though they're from a writing which is 348 to 383 years old; something quite admirable to me...

    Mecca was a splendid Arab city, with treasures of Hijazi urban architecture. Alas now it has become a copy of Las Vegas. It is normal to modernize a city intended to accommodate so many people. But we could have, we should have done it by respecting the spirit of the city, by carefully restoring its most beautiful buildings, by preserving its most typical districts while making them cleaner and more comfortable, like other countries l have done with their historic centers. No, here we have destroyed everything and rebuilt everything without any respect for heritage. It's sad.

      On the other hand, Umar ibn al-Khattab laid down that no person, howsoever rich should build a double storeyed house, and no house should comprise more than three rooms.
      So this exuberance also contradicts the heritage of the first Muslims which was made of discretion and simplicity.

      There isn't any "historical evidence", but there are instances in religious literature that state that Prophet Ibrahim or Abraham was associated with this site. Check out the Khuzistan chronicle that was written around 660s CE, a Christian text that mentions this link. The Quran also mentions this explicitly, that Ibrahim built the Kaaba; although this is up to one's beliefs if you want to accept this information or not, Muslims generally do.

    • @TahaWasiq
      @TahaWasiq  Год назад +3

      Yes; but one clarification is that the bricks or more accurately, the "blocks" used in the 1996 repair are mostly the same as those from the repair of Abdullah ibn Al Zubayr 1300 years ago; the original stones were repaired, reshaped and reinstalled into their positions once again. In other words, the blocks are also mostly original but restored in 1996 whereas the foundations are purely original and never retouched during any repairs.
