I think the main thing we can all agree on - don't walk your dogs near or over this bridge. I still think it's the mink, but who knows...that's the theory I believe.
Well this is an odd one, a mystery of why. Watch out on YT ! Far too many real ones , and happening 24/7 .... Even all the stock animals used for food? This is not too bad.
@@teaspoonsofpeanutbutter6425 WOW, then how can you help animals if you don't know truths? And for me, it's children ones, and certainly on purpose animal ones done 24/7 all over world as we speak. I’ve heard about this bridge before. So sad that so many dogs have died there. I don’t believe in the paranormal so I don’t believe they were possessed. My dog rolls around in the grass I presume to mask her scent and I believe that could be what is going on there.
Strange story. The dogs may not know what is behind the wall and jump over it just thinking there’s lots to be explored on the other side. Surviving dogs climbing back to the top a Nd jumping again, may have gotten a natural high, similar to someone jumping off a bridge hooked to a bungee cord. Since the dog survived the jump, there is no reason for it to believe the jump is dangerous.
UNSOLVABLE Great Video this was amazing 😉 still Unsolvable now days Thanks you Mortis for This Great Recommendation . Have a Good Weekend UNSOLVABLE and Everyone else as Well. : - )
How sad, really. I hope it's a odd fluke, and not a bad joke someone is doing. Hmmmm ? Has anyone gone and looked, follow dog? Dogs? I wonder? What a way for dogs to say look hoomans! Must I keep jumping to get your attention... Walk a mule across bridge ? Safely ! somehow of course.. How sad.
It could very well be the mink and the lack of visibility for the dogs. One of my dogs would do that if she smelled a skunk. The faintest whiff of skunk will wake her from sleep and send racing around inside the house barking and whining and checking all the exits. Yep. She would take the plunge for a skunk. Maybe they should install low portholes in the bridge so that the dogs could see the elevation.
i have stayed there in the overtoun house. people were constantly outside filming at the bridge. i hadn't even heard of anything about it until i asked why so many people kept filming outside

Bizarre, I can understand the feeling of being drawn by height and water combination, but for dogs? 🤔 *L'Appel du Vide? Forgive me if I've got this wrong. Good wishes. Poor Dogs 😔. Very interesting, thanks so much.
Sadly, this mystery, while it is unsolved, is not that interesting. If it is actually true, then clearly, there’s something physical that is happening here. There’s no such thing as ghosts or spirits and obviously the dogs are not committing suicide. Some kind of scent, sound, or a visual trick or something is obviously happening.
Pray even for your animals.......They crossed the sea and went to the region of the Gerasenes. When Jesus landed, a man with an unclean spirit came to meet him from the tombs. This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him, not even with chains; for he had often been chained hand and foot, but he had broken the chains and broken the irons of his feet. No one was strong enough to overpower him. Night and day he went about screaming and cutting himself with stones among the tombs and on the hills. When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and fell down before him, and cried out with a loud voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you by God, do not torment me!” For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of this man, you unclean spirit! “Then Jesus asked him, 'What is your name? ” “My name is Legion”, he replied, “because we are many”. A large herd of pigs was grazing on a nearby hill. The demons begged Jesus, “Send us into the swine, that we may enter them.” He gave them permission, and the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine. The herd of about two thousand pigs flung themselves down the cliff, towards the sea, and drowned in it. Those who took care of the pigs fled and told these facts in the city and in the fields, and the people went to see what had happened. When they approached Jesus, they saw there the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting, dressed, and in his right mind; and they were afraid. (Mk 5.1-15)

What a bizarre story. Even tho I believe in the paranormal, I don't think this is the reason for the dogs jumping. I think it's down to smell or noise. All I can say is... Owners keep your dogs on a lead while walking over the bridge. Loving this channel.
People murder animals all the time for fun and food (hunting for sport) and anger, I believe people are murdering dogs on that bridge, especially since murders can be drawn to tragic sites and will blame murders on the paranormal. Since people care so little for animals they dont put near as much effort into catching or punishing people who murder pets and in fact it's legal to murder many animals in many circumstances, the state will even murder innocent animals on simple assumption that they carry diseases, without even testing them. Animals actually do show signs of depression when tortured including self harm and suicide, they might not be able to voice that feeling but it's instinct to act on it rather than suffer. They're essentially innocent mute children with paws. Anyhow I'll get down off my soap box, I just wanted to say that children and animals understand some complicated subjects in a way that's safe for their innocent minds and take the necessary actions when forced to. And that I think people are murdering the dogs. Where I live people put adorable innocent puppies in a metal box and throw them out of a moving car, over a bridge, into a river to drown slowly and terrified. This is not an exaggeration. I met 3 batches of puppies a few weeks ago who had been found among dead siblings, trapped, some to drown and some to starve, thrown out of moving cars. And this is a place where people claim to love dogs "like family." There are always sickos who will murder the most innocent of us and get away with it. I wish they had puppy safe drop boxes around here like they do for human babies. But instead it's legal to inbreed animals to death in small cages, kill the puppies that dont look pretty enough to fetch a high price, and sell the rest to any random pervert. We might as well be roasting them whole and eating their eyes out of their skulls with this behavior. It would be more merciful than lifetimes of torture and losing their family. Edit: oh, the mink+low visibility+excitement thing makes sense too, so does the sound/pain thing.
I just figured out about the bridge and Ireland they look at that wire hanging just off the bridge thinking it's a stick floating in the air for them to grab so they jump over trying to grab that wire thinking it's a stick
I'm actually curious did anyone conduct the following experiments. 1. place safety nets under the bridge, place items there at that spot with strong smell that dogs hate, see if they still jump. 2. regarding the sound theory, bring dogs with hear problems, or use drugs/interference devices to temporarily disrupt a dog's hearing, see if they still jump.
I had never heard of this before. Absolutely bizarre ! They should rig up safety netting just below the bridge to save the pooches and research this properly.
The castle and bridge are just gorgeous. It is so sad that dogs are inspired to jump over the edge. I think there is a trick of air currents that makes scents of the earth and small animals seem nearby to the dogs. I would absolutely leave my dog safely at home if I visited Overton Bridge.
wtf is wrong with people, if dogs reacted to any of the stimuli they said caused it, it would happen all over the world, not just there, plus they seem to be not know anything about a dog's intelligence.

This us definitely one that completely baffles me. I've been across the bridge and never felt any strange feelings
But they are speaking of dogs, and their senses? Which are different. Rather interesting to know you've been across it.
Have you seen the manor and the rest of the grounds? I'd love to see them.
There's a Devils Bridge in Kirkby Lonsdale, Yorkshire that has history of suicides (as sadly many do) but never heard of dogs doing this.....

Maybe it’s a sound or smell dogs can hear/smell that humans can’t and it triggers their fight or flight response? Like a special mold or something.

If the sad ghosts could find each other...the Lady Overtoun & her husband John...then maybe they would no longer be sad

Mink give off a strong smell , dogs pick it up or catch sight of them worked up in a frenzy unfortunatly over they go, no great mystery im afraid .
