Thank you for using the slow cooker setting.. I use my crockpot alot.. Put food in and leave for work.. I wasn't sure if I could use the ninja for a crockpot.. Can you please make other crockpot meals in the ninja?? I would be so grateful.. Thank you for everything you have taught me..
Hi, I'm a subscriber, another Delicious recipe. I was watching your video for the no bake key lime cheesecake, what brand is the key lime oil, and where do you buy it? Thanks, Ellen
i want to buy a slow cooker but im vegetarian and quorn products and vege mince cant be done in slow cooker do you have any vege dinner recipes please ,
You can make this recipe using jackfruit instead of chicken. I don't have a lot of slow cooker recipes and can't think of anything but soups and things like that that I would use a slow cooker for vegetarian meals.
There are pressure cooking instructions in the written post, but I’m not a huge fan of the texture of chicken breasts pressure cooked. Slow cooking resulted in the most tender and juicy chicken, so I stuck with that. Plus, the sauce flavors the chicken as it cooks, but it might be a bit too thick for pressure cooking.
I am making the Chicken Tinga as we speak using chicken tenders and half recipe so we will see how it goes. Do you feel the same way about slow cooking a pork tenderloin or do you pressure cook?
I'm curious do you boil the chicken or use precooked? I can't believe how easy this is to make, it is a regular in our house and definitely easy with different cooking methods depending on how your day is set up.
@@TheSaltedPepper I pre cooked the chicken and then shredded. When the onion and the sauce have been simmering for around 10 mins, i will add the chicken.
Pressure cooking chicken breast can leave it a little dry, stringing, and rubbery in my opinion, but you definitely can pressure cook the chicken in broth and then add in the cooked sauce. I give those suggestions in my written post. I was so happy with the texture of this chicken, that I felt it was worth slow cooking. It's unreal how good it is.
Cooking chicken breasts on high for more than a couple of hours always overcooks and dries the chicken, in my experience. I see recipes where you cook chicken breasts for 8 hours on low, and still dry. I have a medium setting on my slow cooker/insta pot
These aren't dry at all, but each style of slow cooker cooks a little different. I agree that high on a crock pot would probably dry out the chicken. Did you see all the juices at the end? I actually had to reduce the sauce to thicken it up. I can't even describe the texture of this chicken because it's so good. I've made the chicken without cutting the breasts using high for 4 hours and it was perfect, so either way works with the Ninja Foodi slow cooker. If your IP cooks a little hotter, than medium is a good choice.
This looks soooooo good. This would make great enchilada filling. Those chicken breasts were the biggest I've ever seen. Missed you not doing a video last week. Hope all is well with you two.
Missed the live feed. I am so going to try this. Looks just exactly what I have been looking for. . Thank you for this recipe.

@@TheSaltedPepper they would have to...im more of a traditional tried and true on these types of recipes...hurry always misses something 🙄😉
Yum. This looks so good.
Thanks!
Yummy!!! I will need to find the Adoba sauce
It's in a can wherever your store keeps other Mexican ingredients. It's a small can and they are called chipotle peppers in adobo sauce.

@@TheSaltedPepper ok thankyou for your reply
Why slow cook it instead of pressure cooking which would be quicker?

I have a 6-qt Lux Instant Pot. Would the slow cooker setting be equivalent to the Ninja Foodi setting and times?
I would think so.
Omg Tinga is the best and the easiest on the stove, but like u said, its a good way to do it if you have a busy day!

I love tinga I have only made in the stove and it always comes out great I also sometimes add chorizo to mine and it’s so delicious.
Why couldn’t you pressure cook the mixture and save two hours?

I've been working non-stop on the Ninja Foodi course and totally forgot it was Sunday! This video was ready to go last week! We are doing fine though.
