She has a wonderful way of saying dirty stuff in the sweetest, most profound voice ever. I just love it. She says things you feel like saying but you feel no one else would understand. She seems to dig into our hearts and take these deep truths and make them be about reading a book while eating a pickle or a party or only eating tangerines. This is what I really love about her.
This talent of hers is most present in "Summer in the City" and "Dance Anthem of the 80s".

The video that runs through my head at this song: An old woman is in a hospital bed with an old man beside her, they clasp hands and tearfully look into each other's eyes, he smiles sadly, then stands up taking one of her hands and she's wearing a party dress for the 50s with a swirly skirt. They run outside and walk towards down the street towards the camera, more people gather and march around them, friends kissing them, kids with balloons, and for a second they're both young. then all fades.
I know this is 8 years old, but I got actual chills from reading that.

everytime i hear this song, i feel as if i'm running through a parade hand in hand with Regina, laughing and looking at all the beautiful colours... then the song ends. and i remember i'm in a tiny box room all alone.
Every song from this album sounds like the end of a great movie :)
For her to never change and stay true to her style by ending the song with her 'Brrr' sound is simply wonderful, glorious, makes me want to stand up and applaud

Am I the only one who finds this vaguely reminiscent of On The Radio? They're both lovely, so I don't mean to insult anyone :) and I know that the subject matter is entirely different. It's just something about the tune, or perhaps just how Regina sings it...

I see your point, but Grammys mean literally nothing and most people who win are mediocre. It says nothing about Regina that she hasn't won. Her fans know how amazing she is anyway.
