True. However, during the 40 mile drive I didn't record, it did drop to 1900 rpm a lot, which I think is 5th gear. With the OTT it stayed there until hill. Without OTT, it would go back to 3100rpm within seconds, then down to 2200ish. But yeah, it needs more torque.
I have a first gen and cant use CC unless there is zero incline... 1% grade drops the speed 1mph and suddenly its dropping to third gear and nearly redlining just to recover that 1 mph
Copperstate Tuning. He was good, ensured uninterrupted power supply, we talked about how I would use it etc. I got the Medium tune. I would use him again.
Just got my tune - mild/medium - today.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! 👍👍👍
Thx!
Looks like it still staying in 5th gear a lot instead of 6th. I wish the Tacos just had more usable torque to stay in 6th gear at highway speeds.

Interesting. I also have a 98 manual v6 1st gen, but no issues using cruise in manual. Good to know.
What is the company that did the tune?
