Perusina means that the orchestra is in Perugia, in central Italy. Perugia is of Etruscan origin and stands on a hill. It has a university called Universita' degli Stranieri where one can learn Italian ina delightful city that is not far from the lovely Lago di Trasimeno on one side and historic medieval Assisi on the other. Thank you, John, for uploading this lovely work. Tante grazie !
To me, Albinoni is the most melodically pleasing of the non-Neapolitan baroque composers, ahead of Corelli and the very busy Vivaldi. But Pergolesi and Leonardo Leo are something else, yet completely wiped off the face of the map. Early Neapolitan music for UNESCO World Heritage status now! Leo Depuydt
In a list of compositions by Albinoni that I found, I couldn´t find this piece, nor any piece with this instrumentation. Is this an arrangement? Can someone tell me the exact name? (e.g. concerto a cique or sinfonia). Thank you in advance!
needs more forward motion, the guestures need more life, great music though - a good fine. Just do it with more character. Its meant to be exciting!! more accents! more principale. More clarino, more leaning on the suspensions, more music!
Obviously you haven't actually performed on a valveless or vented "Baroque trumpet". Actually very nice playing, probably the vented type as very few can do this on non-vented valveless instruments.
I think you are over exaderating on the trumpet sound. I think that trumpet sound was a bit off, but more of ok. Sometimes sounds bad, but at times ok.
Спасибо, очень понравилось! Альбинони настоящий гений!
Определенный
Sunday night, at a loose end and chanced across this. Thanks for posting it brought grace and goodness into my soul.
Los compositores barrocos fueron y serán Excelsos por siempre la obra de todos y cada uno es maravillosa
Gracias John Portman
Impecable ejecución, calco y estilo de la época.
Albinoni is my favorite baroque composer!!!:)))) Very interesting!!!!:))))
Bravo Maestro
A great rendition that gives majestic tone. Delightful melody when listening to the four wind instruments interacting in the complex composition.

Yeah, this is probably not Albinoni.

Sorry! T.G.Albinoni's world heritage.
...probably Gabriele Cassone, but it is not entirely certain. 8D

Maybe it was composed by the same 20th-century musicologist who actually composed the famous "Albinoni Adagio." :)
Assolutamente no.Si tratta di un originale inedito di Albinoni, per la registrazione sono state usate le parti orchestrali manoscritte originali
Is the bassoonist in the same room as the other players? The solo at 3:42 sounds like he/she is playing from another room, down the street.
Tutta l'orchestra ha registrato nella stessa sal, il fagotto è uno strumento originale dell'epoca e questo spiega il suono più raccolto.
Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas le nom du trompettiste
Which painting is that?
