I have always thought Lynda Carter was an incredible, and underrated talent. She was excellent in this, including her vocalization of the closing song. Beautiful. And Dee Wallace, Martin Kove, and the rest of the cast were outstanding too. This is an excellent movie and more than worth the time to watch. Enjoy.

Unfortunately the drink drive message has caused us to forget the rest. There are countless ways of having a catastrophic collision that do not involve drinking. As a physicist I see them many times a day. Speeding. Tailgating. Slowing but not stopping for a give way sign. Turning from an incorrect point on the road and turning at too high a speed. Being distracted by a mobile phone. Fitting the vehicle with a bull bar. Driving a heavier vehicle than someone else. These all kill people. And lives are just as screwed up. But there is no effort put into fixing these "deadly sins" on the road.

I wish they had brought the Lord into it at least near the end and made it an act of Christian forgiveness. I think that's what it would have taken for me. If someone had killed my family members like that from an act of carelessness, It would have to be the Holy Spirit in me to forgive, because I don't think I could have done it on my own. Wish they would have just touched on that. It was a good movie but that was a huge attitude swing within a very short time by the lady who lost her family members.

at least they did this film with such grace and dignity, especially the writing and the actors, etc. Compared to rubbish out there now (todays equivalents if there even are any!) this is as close as it gets to showing quiet acts of clemency throughout film. Its as close as we will see portrayed- there were such efforts to take anything with a nod to Christ's examples or at least mentions of God, Christianity etc out of filming due to the strong sentiments against it in the 'film industry" sadly. This comes from a longtime friend involved in the hollyweird "industry" unfortunately. Even at the time this was made.

So many breeches of confidentiality between doctors - especially, psychiatrist disclosing details of her client to her husband. Doctor/relatives discussing patients. The scriptwriter obviously knows nothing about Professional ethics and practice.

WHAT A SAD MESS THE WIFE IS IN!
    "NEVER JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS"
Its BETTER 2 WAIT ON THE L👑RD,
IF SHE HAD WAITED ON G👑D SHE WOULD HAVE FOUND OUT HER BROTHER WAS THE 1 INVOLVED , NOT HER HUSBAND!!!!!😔
    BOTH Husbands were innocent!
THUS SHE WOULDN'T HAVE LEFT THE PARTY DRUNK STOPPING AT A BAR 4 MORE, & KILLED 2 INNOCENT PEOPLE! Amen. IF she had waited!
    (Matt 7:1-2)
The MOST SADDEST THING IS The LADY WHO CONFESSED Was A NICE PERSON HERSELF😔😔
BUT, "G👑D 💜 REINS ON THE JUST & The UNJUST" For G👑D Is A JUST G👑D" Amen
"VENGENCE IS THE L👑RD; Wait On The L👑RD; HE WILL RECOMPENSE"
    (Proverbs 20: 22),(Romams 12:19)
    G👑D bless US ALL🙏🙏🙏🙇‍♂️🙇‍♀️

Isn't it so rude and unfair? The jerk (stranger at the bar) who is suppose to be the main culprit is free , the little boy and his innocent father got killed and a good woman is bearing the whole blame!! But the insurance man must be very happy with it.
GOOD MOVIE but the story is sad.

That was purposeful. He played the part exactly as the character was to be portrayed. Suspicion in her mind made us not like her husband. But in the end we see that her suspension was unfounded and she saw her husband in a different light. Great movie. Good plot. Very good acting. The moral of the story is that drinking and driving can hurt so many people.

@@pamelab7871 SPOILER ALERT.!! ... Her husband showed what an uncaring jerk he was from the beginning of the movie they wrote it that way that's how you know. They wrote this movie that way not the way you're saying we assumed he was a uncaring jerk to her. In the beginning of the movie their Daughter is asking him questions about what happened before the accident HE WAS BEING EVASIVE with her.. When she was asking him what happened before her Mom's accident he didn't care about his wife he acted like he had something to hide of course the way they wrote that part we thought he cheated..You saw that about him in the very beginning of the movie the affair may be unfounded but his uncaring controlling attitude was obvious..He might not have been cheating but he wanted her to not turn herself in and confess let her get by with it..
