Had the opportunity to see this man perform live at MSG on 12/15/2021, just after ending up with a broken foot. Flawless performance. Well worth the money. His son Mateo was with him too. He's gorgeous.
I saw him in his first concert in The US -- about 30 years ago. He was so young, so stiff. Someone else him to the front of the stage and he just stood there stiff as a board and singing. I had never heard him before. In fact, I had no idea who he was. I went through my group of friends, and the only reason I went was because one of them bought me a ticket. He opened up his mouth and started singing -- and I started crying. And I was so embarrassed until I looked at the middle-aged man sitting next to me -- and he was crying too. 🙂 //// He grew into this handsome fox. And now he's growing old. And the sound of him singing still makes me cry.

A song from way back, but he sounds the same as he did when he did it in the 90’s. My family discovered him way back when Con Te Partiro was something newer. We had the Romanza album, which was a compilation, not that we knew then, and this album added another layer to the eclecticism I was curating even at age 11. To this day, I have fond memories of his music as part of my childhood.
