    Hey, Butch. Something I've always wondered about the guys playing banjo with Bill. Your insertion of a rare, subtle melodic lick is quite tasteful. An example is the Munde "A-lick" in your solo. Perfectly assimilated into the otherwise 98% Scruggs style. I've always wondered what it was like for Monroe's banjo player back around this time (late 70s early 80s) when so many players were flipping for the new Melodic and chromatic licks. Did your boss ever let you know his opinion on those? Did he for example ever look over and say, "ok Butch, let's keep it straight" when you tried to throw in too many melodic or chromatic runs? Thanks for posting this song. Probably my favorite Monroe song is the recorded version of this. Love it!
