    I'm a PS5 owner and I love it, I can't wait for Stellar Blade. I'm thinking about getting the Xbox Series X just for the disc drive and backwards compatibility, it won't be long now before Microsoft stops making the Series X with the Disc drive. PC gaming is alright, when it works.

    • @mtt3000

      It's not backwards compatible.
      That's a scam.
      They claim it's backwards compatible, but it's really not. Physical discs are nothing more than a key to install a digital version of the game, from a PRE selected list which they stopped updating, which does not include anywhere near every old game.
      Expecting to play your Dragon Ball Budokai series disc in it? Nope. Cause they didn't pick that as one of their games to add along with many many others. So much for "backwards compatibility".

      @@Mangomesh to be more specific xbox backward compatibility has a list that you can check on the official website of xbox/microsoft.
      There are a lot of games yess.
      But if a game that you have from previous gen isn't on the list then it won't work.
      So if you're into backward compatibility i suggest you first check what games are supported before making the move.

      Lost Odyssey
      Saints Row
      Saints Row 2
      Vanquish
      TimeShift
      They appear to be backwards compatible from what I've read online, I have a few others like GTA Trilogy/ Original Halo but they are not backwards compatible. Oh and a family member bought me Halo 5 and the master chief collection for Xbox One.

    Very informative. I swapped to PC gaming around 2003 and haven't looked back. I kept an Xbox around to play with some of my friends that refuse to go PC, but now with the huge crossplay shift, my Xbox too is in the closet. Keep up the great videos!

    Just sold my XSX and PS5 and got my first PC after Microsoft's new vision of their gaming division became apparent. You're exactly right about the small friction of PC gaming (actually bigger friction if you've been a console gamer all your life). I'm still within my first week of PC gaming but hoping it's worth it in the end.

  • @Chertograad

    I own a gaming PC and I've also got one older gaming PC I'm not using at the moment. I could've hooked up that to my TV, but instead I bought an Xbox Series X for 440€ (incl. taxes) and haven't regretted a thing. I can't get stuff like Quick Resume on a PC and neither can I seamlessly just press one button on a controller that will simultaneously start up the console, the TV and the soundbar without typing in passwords or hunching to some keyboard or mouse on a table. You can plug a controller to a PC but you're still married to the keyboard and mouse (by having to open up Steam and start up Big Picture Mode). It's just a seamless experience for living room TV gaming if you ask me. And I say that as a guy who mostly plays on gaming desktop PCs.
    Then why not PS5? Because I just like the Xbox controller more. I also like that they put more effort into backwards compatibilty and I like to play a ton of older games and still do. Even on my PC. I also like that you can get access to the same subscription service on your PC so you get both for the same money. I also like that for some games save files and progress gets synced and you sometimes get two copies of the game if it's an Xbox Play Anywhere title. There's just numerous reasons really but it seems like not that many people online realize that. They're like "xbox is pointless" but that only shows they haven't thought it through at all.

    • @Chertograad
      @Chertograad 6 месяцев назад

      There's also the value proposition. I was out of SSD storage space (1TB) so if I wouldn't have bought a new console, I would've bought an SSD that would've set me back around 150€. I'd also have wnated to buy a controller and that's at least 50€. So that's around 200€ in total plus shipping expenses.
      So it costed me ~240€ more to get the Series X. That's not a whole lot to get a system that can play games beautifully on an 4K 55" TV. And won't have to mess with constant rebooting, windows updates and stuff like that. It just boots up in a heartbeat. And a desktop PC next to a TV doesn't look good. Neither do keyboard+mouse lying around on tables and shelves...
      I could've just bought Forza Horizon 5 on Steam, but I prefer to play it on the sofa in the living room so there's that... And there's no Forza on PS5...

    • @Ubermensch_Salazar2
      @Ubermensch_Salazar2 6 месяцев назад

      For the keywboard and mouse part that's not a thing only a preference. You can be a PC gamer and use a controller of your chosen.
      Most of your argument is subjectiv.
      But yess indeed quick resume its a great feature.
      You still need to log in into your xbox account the same way you have to log in into your computer. While it is true that on your pc there a few more steps before you start gaming. I don't think there is really a significant difference. It's just preference.
      Xbox play anywhere program is fine but there isn't much games on it yet. The day more big games are in it then it will have more value.
      Backward compatibility it's a good xbox feature true, but then again compared to Pc....
      At the end of the day if you have a PC there isn't really a reason to purchase a console if not just preference and confort. Like you stated you just have to boot the device and game and that's it. It is just another device to enjoy which is completely fine.

      Now i don't remember if the password is optional or not but i needed one to.log into my xbox profil on the console.
      Or else you cannot have acces to your games.

    Truth is this. Coming from someone who owns all. For most people dont buy a pc. Xbox is the best starter console here is why. Yes i love ps5 its great and even a little bit better but here is why you NEED XBOX OVER ANY OTHER SYSTEM. GAMEPASS, controller. VRR dolby atmos, dolby vision, smart delivery, play anywhere,. Exclusives and ecosystem. Compared to pc its more portable easy to use and VALUE. Pc has alot of issues and you will pay so much more to start gaming. Xbox u get all the exclusives and so many great games right away. When u finally get a pc u can easily port games over. Xbox allows u do play whenever where ever. Xbox has 1 major issue. The 30fps single player. They wont give you the option which does suck but hear me out. Playing on a big tv with family around 4k 30 is better than 1080 60

      Agreed, Xbox has a much smaller ceiling to get into which a major benefit to sitting down and gaming. Especially when they implemented in the Series X and S to really quickly get in. PC is def an investment. I use Game Pass for PC and sometimes have the most random issues. I didn't think about the Dolby vision which can be a great media TV for living room for myself. I really do miss couch coop days which are very rare especially for PC. Thanks for commenting! Love the opinion!

I love pc but its not better than xbox . On top of that when u wanna watch youtube, a movie, sports or anything with the family. Xbox is a WAYYY better choice. Why spend 1500 on a pc? U dont gain much at all.

    In terms if value I'd say an xbox console is a great option, especially for those who do 100% prefer the console experience and the coach/TV set up. But I'd say what is even more compelling is the xbox ecosystem altogether. I'm one who actually takes advantage and uses most if not all aspects of their options to play across devices. I play on PC often, and actually use the xbox app on it regularly. Their PC Xbox app/store front has improved greatly, but I also play on my xbox when I would rather play on the TV, and I'll also remote play off of my xbox with the Logitech G Cloud. It's really fun to so easily swap between all these and now with xbox starting to get ready to give you full streaming access to your xbox dashboard with all your games, nit just gamepass games to stream without having to remote play or anything. Pretty cool stuff!

    • @S7Vision
      @S7Vision  6 месяцев назад

      I also get the itch to play games on my TV but I am limited to my setup I feel like. I havent used a handset gaming like Logitech G cloud or Others, how is the cloud performance? I'm glad to hear your perspective!

    • @Mmachine88
      @Mmachine88 6 месяцев назад

      @S7Vision with the G Cloud you can use both remote play (like the portal on ps5) and or just straight up stream gamepass. It's great, and honestly you don't notice too much of the delay even on games like Halo. There is still some of that compression pixelated image, it's not terrible but I'd recommend checking out some videos on it if your interested at all. Usually on sale for $200 and you can stream your playstation, xbox, steam, and even Nvida GeForce and the battery life while streaming is like 10+ hours and it's like an iPad where you can put the device into sleep and the thing would take weeks to finally die. It's pretty dope and honestly I think it's best feeling handheld

    Even though I have no animosity toward XBOX itself (the fanboys is another story...), I'm MORE than happy to have my Game Ready PC, PS5 and Switch. 99.98% of the games XBOX has, I'm simply not interested in.
    Hopefully the 00.02% will become available on PC some day. I'm not going to repeat the same mistake I did before (Buying an XBOX purely for Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay....which is now multplat + extra).

    The main advantage of an Xbox Series X is for multi-person households and the ability to play certain backward compatible original Xbox and Xbox 360 disks. To the advantage of multi-person households, you can purchase an Xbox game under one profile, and everyone in the household can play the game under their own profile as long as the game is purchased under the ‘home console profile’. In Windows, the game can only be played under the profile that purchased the game.

      You’re right. I created separate Steam accounts for my two sons. I buy the games under my older son’s account, but my younger son can play the games under his own profile. It’s an excellent way to make sure that my younger son doesn’t mess up my older son’s save files.
      I usually buy games for Steam if it is the same game and same price as the Xbox PC app version because my kids prefer the PC. Steam enables them to play the same game under separate profiles, the Xbox PC app does not.

    It’s hard to know if Xbox is worth it. For now it still is, games are coming that are expected to be exclusive, and gamepass is an option for cheaper games to play. But if Microsoft goes all in on porting their games to other consoles, it’s hard to say Xbox is worth it, unless you don’t care at all about PlayStation exclusives or you really love gamepass.

    People are not buying an Xbox Series console today because a lot of Xbox One work very good for at least ten years still with the Xbox One X.
    As for PC gaming a lot of them are digital now, not as many physical copies as there should be. Yes, there are PlayStation community people more then Xbox community worldwide. But the hardware for the PlayStation 3 original, PlayStation 4 of silms and all PlayStation 5 break down very quickly.
    The PlayStation games are more expensive than Xbox physical games. PlayStation membership prices are too high, they had overpriced there PlayStation store in the UK too high.
    I'm saying this from my experience and opinion that an Xbox of any kind is better than a PC and a PlayStation.
