@Keith quesenberry His timing/feel and note choice make him a kick-ass riff machine. Crazy efficient technique as well. To be honest I find it hard to believe that you think he sucks.
That Iceman is insane. I swear I thought maybe we were getting a Wes Hauch signature so I waited before I picked up this iceman lol figured you’d go with the iceman shape. Glad to have you around Wes!
I was wondering when we’d see a vid of you playing this. Ever since your LACS iceman came out, everyone has wanted it lol!! Including me!! I’m really hoping they come out with a prestige version of this guitar
@@leoseanster agreed! Ya a wes sig would be sweet! I’m tempted in buying this IL iceman but I’ve been let down SO many times with indo ibys that I just buy prestige’s now. That way I know what I’m paying for. U know? Unless the indo made guitars have gotten better, but from my experience it’s a toss up. I will say I’m stoked that they are using the deactivators again! Instead of the fusions. That has me almost won over just cause i love those pups
I have a feeling you were involved in the concept of these guitars... as soon as I saw the Iceman I thought 'WES HAUCH'. Now to just make my mind up which one to buy out of the models they just released. The Xiphos looks killer as well. I'd love a 7 string Destroyer with fixed bridge *hint hint* 😂
I would imagine imagine Ibanez had a solid pulse on social and I think they would have seen the response at Wes breaking out the Iceman, which aside from the Paul Stanley model popping up here and there, I only ever saw it as a Paul Gilbert guitar. Wes breaking it out for some br00tz made me look at it differently. By the vibe of the comments when he started playing it, I know I wasn't the only one. I would attribute this directly to Mr. Hauch
Wes, you have absolutely defined the guitar style I go for. Basically moved to a new city and went to a 2nd hand guitar shop, spotted a 2003 IC300 pretty much a week after you posted your first custom shop pics. I now own that one and 2 parts iceman guitars, one of which has a jazzmaster setup with a blazer neck (weird I know) and one that's a 7 string 26.5" scale with an RGD neck. It's such a fucking cool shape and is long like a jazzmaster which I also love.
I’m pretty sure is still in the works, my brother and I do want this guitar still but we’re waiting to see if a signature iceman of yours comes out for 2022! Love your work Wes
Update, I now own it and yeah it is my favourite guitar I’ve ever owned! With it was a baritone scale but I kinda understand why it wasn’t considering the neck dive.
I just heard your interview with Doc Coyle, it was great. I remember first hearing of you over 10 years ago. I thinks it's great that you talked about you downs as I can relate big time. Your still awesome!
I secretly hoped they’d keep it gloss black w. binding that was so classy. But, hey, finally an Iceman 7 so…👍 Excellent playing as always from master Wes 😎
@@WesHauchAlluvial Ah man It was a typo, not was supposed to be there !! I just woke up. I really liked it and of most the players i listen to I love how you articulate with your fret hand so well. Thanks for replying and your playing really means a lot to me! You are one of my favorite guitar players of all time!
PLEASE try your best to keep putting out content bro! youre one of the most inspiring players out there right now. I feel like picking up my gitfiddle every time i watch you shred one out!!! love it dude.
I am now tempted to try and learn that lead now that I've seen you and Jack Harris playing it these past couple of days haha. The Iby looks sick man! Reminds me of my old Epiphone gothic explorer which I wish I never got rid of.
In the first time in my life I can say with confidence that I want a whole line of guitar models, the new iron label series is my LACS dream collection turned into a reality, I'll be 100% grabbing the xiphos 7.
I could watch ya play that chorus riff all day. Glad Ibanez is kicking out the iceman 7s again. But I think the xiphos stole the show on this line. That body lends itself to a matte black finish. If this iceman had a white binding it’d be all over it
I’ve been waiting for this guitar for what seems like forever. Last IC-507 was Chinese junk and I couldn’t even intonate it. So happy to see the iceman 7 pushed up to the iron label line. Guess I’ll keep praying for a prestige but this will certainly do!
Only thing giving me any pause from grabbing one of these bad boys (besides money) is that there isn't a version with a trem! To be honest that probably won't stop me for long though.
Can Ibanez PLEASE make a 26.5 inch version, or maybe a 27 inch, like the LTD Black Metal series? As-is, it already has the exact specs I am looking for, but the standard 25.5 inch scale is simply too short for a 7-string. That is the one and only reason I didn't buy one. If a longer version existed, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Would you get the xiphos or this?

Ibanez don't get artists involved in the production of their guitars unless they're INSANELY famous. Like, Steve Vai famous.
@@WardenOfTerra Ibanez has several artists that are less popular than Wes. But it wouldn’t hurt to make a couple lacs iceman 7s

100% correct shirt for this! Amazing playing dude.

what a great riff .
simply incredible...
That's the most interesting guitar solo I've heard in recent memory. Excellent.

Amazingly talented musician
Used to want an iceman because of white zombie way back, now that want is larger after seeing Wes with a white zombie shirt and iceman. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
The solo is beast
That chorus where you start bending the strings sounds so fuckin rad.
Badass riffs on a badass guitar 🤙
That final bend, wow
