I picked this up for $115 CAD and throughly enjoy it, good choice. If you like this you should also try Lindores Friar John Cor Chapter Two 60.9%(Bourbon, STR & peated rum casks), not as tropical but similar profile and was $102.
Maybe you could start doing some milk hunting ? Like if you end up in a grocery store maybe Check out the milk selection? I love trying different milks, and always look for local brands in different stores! Just a thought! Cheers 🥛🥃
every rye on my shelf tastes like a dill pickle lmao, got a clyde mays 5 year store pick at 104 proof that smells like theres a pickle in the bottle (edit) I dont have much Rye whiskey in comparison to bourbon

i don't think 70+ for a bottle of any bourbon is a great price. Store Pick or not. These products are not rare, they're literally distributed domestically throughout the entire nation, and even abroad. And these days, with the consolidation of of the major brands the quality just ain't there. I have a suspicion that a lot of distillers are making ryes not because the market demands it but rather their other ingredients are so low quality (bad corn, or bland corn) that they have to put a stronger tasting ingredient like rye to cover up the unpalatable flavors of the low quality corn.
@@saladsalad9991 I am gonna have to disagree on both statements. Store picks are technically some of the MOST rare whiskey in the market. No particular single barrel is the same so to have one unique to a store is pretty “rare.” And in regards to the ingredient comment I also know plenty of craft distilleries that are buying top notch crop from local farmers. I really do think rye is in a high demand right now especially higher proof ryes. Cheers
Guess u never have bought a good bourbon lol I have probably 35 bottles and my favorite sits at 76 bucks for eh Taylor small batch , can’t wait to try the others
