These were some pretty nice elevators!!! I'm not the biggest fan of Series 5, but these are definitely VERY NICE with the LARGE COP and the REAL WOOD Cabs, and not just that, but it is VERY RARE to see a HIGH RISE Series 5!!! I only knew of 2 places prior in Orlando that had Series 5s that went over 10 floors, and now I found some that go 20 FLOORS!!! This is definitely a UNIQUE and RARE find!!! They do make a lot of noise when traveling and on the top floor as you'll hear in the video, but they travel VERY FAST and SMOOTH, and are Very Well Maintained for a Myrtle Beach Hotel being many elevators in Myrtle Beach are very poorly maintained, and again, for a Series 5, this is NICE!!! Granddaughter Otis Voice, Wood Cabs, Large Series 5 COP all make up a nice set of elevators!!! It's also nice to see how well these are aging being MRLs in general aren't the greatest in build quality, but these are 10 years old and doing great! Hopefully this continues for many more years to come. That all being said, enjoy the video, and stay tuned for a tour of this hotel!!!

Awesome elevators
I love the high speed lifts that make a roaring wind noise in the shaft :) awesome find
I was here a little while ago and they’re doing great.
I like "Grandaughter Otis Voice" by the way.
I love ❤️ series 5
Can't say I've ever heard a Gen2 that makes whooshing noises like that. Cool lifts!
That's because you've never seen one that serves this many floors or goes the speed these go!!!
this must be tower north
I'm an elevator enthusiast too
Cool!
I think you hit the Record of Otis Series 5 20 Story & BIG COP!! YT FIRST TOO!! They're just like the Nines Portland
Funny thing is, Myrtle Beach and Orlando have Several of them. In fact, this place beat my previous record for Series 5 by only 1 floor (The 19 story ones I rode were at Wyndham Bonnet Creek) and there is actually another hotel in Myrtle Beach that I didn't film that has some that go 22 floors that I believe escalatorgeek881 filmed!
I actually just checked my backlog, and I actually filmed a set taller than this one.......by ONE floor!!!!
@@FloridianElevators I believe escalator-geek 881 changed his channel to jim-wood-ward 1212 I forget did he or not
Series 5 traction elevators for a high-rise, I don't think I can say I've seen that one before.

Elevating Denver IT'S A SCHINDLER 400A
@@jamesmccrackyn3547 no it's series 5 VR
If only Gen2s were this good in Asia. They're so good in the USA but are crap here.
Have you been to Boulineaus' food plus in Cherry Grove. I haven't filmed those Elevators yet.
I didn't make it there...
@@FloridianElevators IT'S A SCHINDLER 400A
Did you film at the Sands Ocean Club?
Unfortunately no. I didn't go to that part of Myrtle Beach. I filmed at most of the hotels on the Main Strip of Myrtle Beach, and also the ones in the Cherry Grove Area of North Myrtle Beach.
wow
Are you planning to film at the Bayview Resort during this trip. It had three 19-story Schindler 330A Elevators (HT Fixtures) that were modded by Thyssenkrupp in 2010 I believe. I remember riding the Schindler 330A when my family stayed there in 2007.
EDIT: I didn’t hear the motor as much on the Schindler 330A, but I believe it was Hydraulic. Also, what is weird about them, is that the resort slapped on house fans on all three of their elevators (Thyssenkrupp era)
I didn't film there. I made it back home from Myrtle Beach on Saturday....
Floridian Elevators Oh, OK
And 330A is Hydraulic not Traction. They'd have to be 400A. And ridiculous they'd modernize them when they aren't old at all....
Floridian Elevators I agree, the original were about 3 years old, and thyssenkrupp replaced everything except the cab and the Outside Doors. Probably because 19 story Schindler 330A Elevators were not up to code. I think it was modded in 2010 because it has the Dover buzz.
These are actually pretty nice. I found a set of 14 floor Series 5 Gen2s in N. Myrtle Beach. I would have expected these to be much more worn, considering they're old high-rise Gen2s.
Well, this isn't independently owned or owned by a small local HOA, it's owned by Wyndham, and in general, their maintenance is pretty good!!!
And yes, these are pretty nice!
Elevating Western PA Are you talking about the Dunes Resort
Alex Trimmer No, the SeaSide.
Elevating Western PA Oh, ok, The Dunes Resort also has a set of 14 story Otis Gen2 Series 5 elevators
High rise gen2, wow !
I think Otis gen2 elevators can serve 27 floors max but I'm not sure.
Yes, the max they can serve is 28 floors
@@FloridianElevators in north america in europe gen2's go higher than 28 floors
Hey Floridian Elevators, I noticed that someone else used this footage (I’m assuming without you’re permission) if you wanted to film a copyright claim. Here is the link: ruclips.net/video/Ke3FYb9dBpk/видео.html Just wanted you to know.
I reported him
@@noobflakes740 and Adam B, It was that horrible spammer named James McCrackyn that stole this video.
