Such good tips. Can't wait for the sound design video - I agree you can go so deep down that rabbit hole for subtle (or not-so-subtle) sound design to elevate your videos.
Absolutely amazing tips. I just found you through TikTok and I'm really loving your content and how you teach. I'm really focused on developing my own creative editing style this new wedding season so I feel super lucky to have found your channel!
That means so much! I’m so glad to have you apart of the community. Feel free to reach out anytime via IG if you ever have questions. I love helping whenever I can. Blessings to you!
Thanks so much! I’ll be making more as I continue to learn exactly what I’m doing haha. Love the responses from the wedding film community though. Thank you for the support brother.
Just came across your channel watching your wedding trailer stuff. Bro, this is so good. Thank you for putting it out there. Now, I’m about to binge watch your stuff. 🤜🏻🤛🏿
I love your energy and passion for this. I am an editor myself and it’s nice to see someone who has so much drive and love for their career like myself. I don’t honestly see it often. You’ve inspired me Justin! I am obsessed with film making for weddings and stuff because of your work ethic and inspiration, but the cost of gear is holding me back! I’ll get there one day, but for now I am trying to learn and soak in your influence. As a person like myself with a creative mindset to tell a story with all my edits; I don’t look up to many people, but you are a true inspiration for me. I freaking idolize you! Anyways, Keep up the good work and the grind to make your clients smile!
Hey Jeremy, wow thanks you so much! I seriously appreciate the love and it’s so humbling to hear that my drive inspires you. I truly only want that. Even if it was just one person as long as the content helps. I agree, the gear will come. The things gear won’t directly influence though is your knowledge and understanding of post production. Understanding those storytelling fundamentals. If you ever have questions or just want to gear talk shoot me a message on IG. Keep being passionate 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
@@JustinPorterMedia I will definitely keep you on top of my list. I have Premiere Pro and After Effects down and know it on the back of my hand! I just have to get the experience with gear. Everything shot as of now for our vacations and stuff was using an iPhone and I want better quality and to also produce for others at a better quality. This stuff is so damn fascinating for me
@@jeremywoods4827 oh dope man. Grab you a Sony ZV1 for starting. Great camera and worth it for so many shoots. Love the passion though seriously. Best thing ever.
By the way, your channel is the best channel I've seen, you're very professional, you're a school, I follow you from Spain, I'm learning from you, I don't understand English perfectly but it's the opportunity to learn hahahahaha, thank you very much
Thank you for the tips! Your work is amazing! I’m definitely engaged in the way you put your videos together hoping maybe you can do a break down on how you color grade your footage someday would really be helpful because your colors are incredible!
Thanks so much! I definitely will make one grading. I always feel like I wouldn’t be the best to teach it haha. I’m still learning myself. Thanks so much for the support.
Love the video, your tips are actually really helpful. But I wanna add one thing real fast, if you can download individual tracks from one song, like the vocals, bass and all that separately. then you can create some sick dramatic sounds by altering the audio the way you want. but anyways love love
Just found you on TikTok and I loved, quick question I wanna become a doctor but I love the filmmaking world and I wanna know if there is a way or is possible to get in filmmaking industry and learn while you study another thing and work at the same time? Or it takes time? I know everything takes time but can I ménage three different things. Hahahaha sorry for the long comment keep going my man I’m loving it 😍
Hey thanks so much for the support. You can totally study filmmaking at the same time. Really there’s so much to learn that you’ll never really stop growing haha.
Hey there! Me again 🙂 Just wondering, at which point are you using the trailer? Is it something that you include in your price and use to build tension for the final edit? Cheers
Thanks so much! Usually it takes around 14-30 days on a film start to finish. It’s tough though depending on the film and amount of coverage. Most films are averaging 20-25 minutes.
I’m kinda doing this on a live stream in 2 weeks. I’ll be breaking down an edit and explaining some of the techniques I did. Be on the lookout for a scheduled stream soon
Doing a live editing breakdown as soon as I can get all the pieces to work together with the Atem mini. Be sure to subscribe to be apart of it :)
you are literally my favorite filmmaker.
Ah that means so much! Thank you for the support. ❤️

Thanks so much. Haha exactly. It just depends on the sound designs purpose lol. Working on one though.
Sound design is key to engagement. You hit it big with this one bro!

@@JustinPorterMedia do you recommend that over the Sony A7? That is the one I was looking to get in a couple weeks
@@jeremywoods4827 if it came down to cost then yes. The ZV1 is a nice upgrade. If you want to spend more, then a used Sony A7 would be great. Or a7ii
Thanks bro I love how you explain these tips
Thank you so much for watching. Any feedback to make to make the tips better?

Hey. Yea it’s apart of the package. I make them for the 3 day doc weddings we have now though.
i love your work 🙌, i would love to know, how long does it take you to finish editing a single wedding film?, how long is the playback?
Thanks so much! Usually it takes around 14-30 days on a film start to finish. It’s tough though depending on the film and amount of coverage. Most films are averaging 20-25 minutes.
I would like to look at the wedding featured in the beginning but I don’t see it on your channel.
Awesome video! Love all your videos man
Do you use artlist for getting your music too?
Thanks so much. Yes I do. The majority of the music comes from artlist. I also use Musicbed(not as much) and audiio
Inspired by you 🙏🏿
