Love this video. I've complained about our oven so hubby made me replay the part about how some people thing this is even better than the gas oven and that the gas oven doesn't work quite like a residential range.

That is awesome! Haha. I have heard so many people complain about the gas ovens. Usually that they don't heat evenly and it's really easy to burn things. It's worked out really well for us

Very informative (and needed) video, thank you ! You should rewrite the manual for Contoure! 😄
Burning question: Are we supposed to take out the glass turntable to preheat or leave it in? (I know we need to have the glass turntable in when cooking, just am unclear about when preheating...)

Great question! I know the manual says to remove the turntable during pre-heating, but that sounds confusing since your'e supposed to have it in there when actually cooking. I think Contoure's rationale was that the glass tray would heat up during pre-heating and if you needed to handle the glass tray itself (i.e. take it out to place a pizza directly on it), there was a risk you could burn yourself. I never cook directly on the glass tray itself and always use the metal rack. Therefore, I always leave the glass tray in during pre-heating and then add my dish (and metal rack) once pre-heating is complete. Never had an issue. Hope that makes sense!

Thank you so much for doing this video. Can you use silicone bakeware?

Glad you liked it. And yup, you sure can. That's the same material that the little red bumpers we talk about in the video are made of.

Great video! Do you have any good recipes to share that you have made in the convection mode. We have only made brownies, tator tots and baked potatoes so far.

All sorts of stuff! Lasagna, meatloaf, reverse sear on steaks, cakes, pizza, you name it! I use it for anything I would have used a regular oven for. The only rate limiter is the actual space (I.e. a 9x13 pan won't fit). Let me know if there is something you've been craving and I'll dig up some recipes for ya!

Do you have a video with a demo of your cook top?

      Yup, right here.
I should clarify, we typically use an induction cook top for most of our cooking. But will use the propane range if we aren’t hooked up to shore power.
