the man who played the officer when taking frankies documents was a man named David Goodall, he was a scottish actor, writer, Producer and Stunt coordinator .. he sadly passed away last year. good friend of mine. very fabulous addition to this industry. You will see him again as another character in season 8/9
Like you, I don't like alcohol, only able to drink à half pint cider, or half pint shandy. Years ago, I rambled past Dumgoyne distillary with a group of ramblers, but never went in. Did you know that there is now "Jack and Victor" whisky which won a Trademark battle from the makers of Jack Daniels whisky. It gets distilled at Loch Lomond distillary.
With 'strategic placement ', i kive in Troon. One street had a Chinese restaurant, an Indian restaurant, a bookies, a chip shop, a dentist, doctors and undertakers all in one little row.
At one point just facing central station was a bank, 3 bookies and a pawn shop. Into the bank for cash. Blow it all in the bookies and pawn your watch for bus fare home. Thankfully I don't gamble. I'd be watchless!
You've not been to the West End - get the subway to Hillhead and go to the Botanic Gardens and Glasgow Uni's museum, or get the subway to Kelvinhall and go to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Ashton lane's worth a wander along, it's just round the corner from Hillhead subway. There's tons of good pubs and cafes too. I really don't like whisky, but I've still enjoyed visiting Distilleries. Glengoyne is the one in this episode, it's a good one to visit just outside Glasgow. Another is Auchentoshan... I blew a job interview there once by being too honest and telling them I didn't like whisky, I was only young, silly me 🤣
The guy talking to Winston on the telly is called John macorik, probably spelt his surname wrong, and he was playing himself, a horse racing commentator
Eddie I'm a former Glaswegian try the University Cafe Byers Road and just to say try the Griffan pub across from the Kings Theatre Bath Street Winston character Paul Rilley used to drink in there bare in mind that was ten years ago enjoy Glasgow
The end scene at the bus stop, they were actually geniunely pished. Dae they no' drive sleds wi' huskies? Aye. Pished! Brilliant Eddy. One of my favourite episodes. One of my ex girlfriends was in it!
If you still haven't been to Glasgow ' The Barras ' / Barrowlands is open from 10 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. They turned a series of streets into a market.
Worked around Liverpool loads of times and there's always a bookies next door or across the road from a pub. There's one outside Everton's ground so you can put a bet on before watching the game.
Thanks man, love this episode! BTW if you keep tanning the tea cakes, you’ll no have a tooth in yer heid! 😉 That’s John McCrirrick, an English racing pundit from channel 4! Died now!
Good point Eddy pointing out bookies are always close to a pub 😆 Its like an unspoken Symbiotic partnership lol you cracked the code, Ye get pished then ye put a bet on!
Hillhead underground station will take you off at Byres Road. Ashton Lane or Ruthven Lane are worth at least a visit. Kelvingrove Art Gallery is nearby there, too...
Another show your probably love is Legit, written by the guys that did Burnistoun. Only made one series but If you like Still Game, your love it. Its on BBC iplayer, also on RUclips too. 👍
Eddy I’m from Glasgow & I can say if it’s winter & cloudy freezing it can start getting dark at 2.40pm but in the summer there is 1 week in July/August where if it’s a clear day suns out no clouds you can see it getting lighter on the east end of Glasgow from 0210am the sun could be out from 3am that’s truth see you Thursday
The underground subway station outside queen street station directly across from the side entrance is a 5min if that journey 2 quid return takes you to west end Eddie mate !! am from possil park. Posso as we call it up hear lol the west end is not far yet a different world to the schemes but u would love it there mostly students friendly people THE ACTOR WHO PLAYS NAVID most actors Kevin bridges also you see all the time floating around.. they stay in that area !! MIBY ONE TIME TRY POSSO it’s 5 mins from town as well on bus IT GETS A BAD REPUTATION BUT there the real people that makes Glasgow what it is you would get to see all side’s & characters of Glasgow in one hour lol Love your youtube channel hopefully come across you one day to say hello YOUR A TOP LAD 🏴💙💚
If ye fancy the west end eddie lad, get on the underground at buchanan st, its a circular so you canni get lost. Aboot £4.50 fur an aw day pass. Get aff at Hillhead and yev got Ashton lane & ruthven lane with the upmarket bistros, resturants n pubs
You've not been in the west end yet, no. That's Hillhead, Byres Road, Woodlands Road, Partick. I'm further out west up Great Western Road but there's nothing for tourists here 😅 And you'll be wanting to see the Botanic Gardens at the top of Byres Road, Ashton Lane just off Byres Road.
Never heard of locked for drunk. Also, you can look up the pronunciation of any words or place names, and most have videos in the results so you can hear it. And most of them seem to be right. Have you heard of Ecclefechan?
Ch as in loch, or I if you can't get the Ch sound. I'm sure you will with your Irish background. Most English people can't. Just remembered you have lochans in Ireland.
Tam offering to buy Winston a pint at 30:08 to get him out of the bookies.
Shows he genuinely cares even with how tight he is at times
Eddy you looked more traumatised than Winston did at the end scene lol
It can get dark at 3.30pm if we have thick cloud cover in Central Scotland but its more like 2pm in Shetland
I love the acting as Jack and Victor get increasingly wasted. They go from intoxicated to tipsy to drunk to absolutely shit-faced!
the man who played the officer when taking frankies documents was a man named David Goodall, he was a scottish actor, writer, Producer and Stunt coordinator .. he sadly passed away last year. good friend of mine. very fabulous addition to this industry. The line 'frankly my dear i dont give a damn" is brilliant
The West End has the Kelvingrove art gallery and museum, the Botanic Gardens, and loads of pubs.
Thats the late john mccrickick horse racing pundit legend

quite often if the clouds are heavy the street lights come in even at midday. we go to work in the dark and come home in the dark, its pure brutal.
I love how Winston hopped to the window 😂
With 'strategic placement ', i kive in Troon. One street had a Chinese restaurant, an Indian restaurant, a bookies, a chip shop, a dentist, doctors and undertakers all in one little row.
About 4pm it gets dark in central Scotland in the middle of winter.
And yes you can still go to that distillery
At one point just facing central station was a bank, 3 bookies and a pawn shop. Into the bank for cash. Blow it all in the bookies and pawn your watch for bus fare home. Thankfully I don't gamble. I'd be watchless!
Oh wow 😮

If you still haven't been to Glasgow ' The Barras ' / Barrowlands is open from 10 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. They turned a series of streets into a market.
Bookies are near Pubs because the bookies used to have runners going between the bars and the bookies taking lines.
I remember them days well.
Ohhhh I see 😮
Worked around Liverpool loads of times and there's always a bookies next door or across the road from a pub. There's one outside Everton's ground so you can put a bet on before watching the game.

It's Eddy's infectious laugh that I love. I literally know all the episodes word for word. But Eddy adds something different. Really cheers me up.

Thanks man, love this episode! BTW if you keep tanning the tea cakes, you’ll no have a tooth in yer heid! 😉
That’s John McCrirrick, an English racing pundit from channel 4! Died now!
Aye, he'll be piling the timber on too. He'll have to get some extra pre season football training in now 😂😂😂
Good point Eddy pointing out bookies are always close to a pub 😆 Its like an unspoken Symbiotic partnership lol you cracked the code, Ye get pished then ye put a bet on!
Exactly! 🤣🤣
Where i'm from there are 3 bookies and 12 pubs, and these are on the one street. 3 bookies and 12 pubs for a population of around 2,000 people.
Ditto. In my small town it's pub, bookies, takeaway all down the main street
Oh wow, that’s crazy 😮
We used to have 14 but the Celtic pub was set on fire and one of the Rangers pubs went bankrupt. Think we are down to 9 now
It's John McCririck the racing pundit passed away a couple years ago
This has to be my favourite episode of them all. Love hearing your laugh again Iddy. Been concentrating on the football.🏴🏴🏴🏴
Glengoyne and Auchintoshan are in Glasgow eddie lad and do tours. Although Gelengoyne is a wee touch further out
There is the famous Ubiquitous Chip where celebrities go in the West End to eat. I was in it once.
Hi Eddy get the subway from argyle street to Hillhead (west end) and you can discover Ashton Lane it is very good 💙🖤🏴
Hillhead underground station will take you off at Byres Road. Ashton Lane or Ruthven Lane are worth at least a visit. Kelvingrove Art Gallery is nearby there, too...
Charlie Wonka! 😅
John McCririck was the late English horse racing pundit.
Was but no more RIP
Originally there was always a pub by a church
Eddie: I love pete the jakey!
Just wait till ye meet Mick😉
We’re further north than you. It gets dark later than England (i.e. stays light longer).
Been some amazing views of the Northern lights up there lately.
7:00 🤣🤣🤣 7:10 😆😆😆 33:38 🤣🤣🤣
Love the vids!
Another show your probably love is Legit, written by the guys that did Burnistoun. Only made one series but If you like Still Game, your love it. Its on BBC iplayer, also on RUclips too. 👍

No, take the subway to Byres Rd the real Westend
The underground subway station outside queen street station directly across from the side entrance is a 5min if that journey 2 quid return takes you to west end Eddie mate !! am from possil park. This is my boyfriend’s favourite episode.❤️
only in the winter
You're going to Glasgow this weekend??? Hope I bump into you!
💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛✌🏼💛
Jump on the subway to Hillhead it's cheapo.
Eddy, if you do visit a distillery, please don't try any alcohol. It's not worth it.
They had to tone down the laughter audio after Winston lost his leg during editing.
Have I missed season 4 episode 7 Cold Turkey? Can't seem find it Ed?
Never heard of locked for drunk.
Also, you can look up the pronunciation of any words or place names, and most have videos in the results so you can hear it. And most of them seem to be right.
