I so miss this campus! My last 3 years at Champlain, I was in room 24 in McDonald. I felt so spoiled because for a single, the room was big, I had a walk-in closet and 2 windows. Most doubles and even some triples were smaller than that room at the time.
additionally the room was sooo tiny and they tried to cram three of us into it. bunk beds, desk, dresser no place to be. windows did not open well, some broken. when we got there none of the fire escapes were safe (doors didn't open, stairwell wobbly)
yeah. this is not the realistic picture of champlain dorms....i lived in north house. the dingy blue carpet had gross stains all over it when i moved in, they painted over wallpaper. paint chipping off, paint dropped on corners of carpet. old house smelled like a wet dog in the summer, sink was rusty and falling apart, grime and rust in medicine cabinet..and it was not very "modernized". i've paid less for bigger cleaner apartments, lol
i'd recommend getting one of the new, on campus residence halls. stay away from the town houses. or become a commuter...
