Thank you so much for posting the videos here. It is so much easier to watch than on Facebook. Facebook videos are difficult to pause. So much better on here. Thanks the daily videos that are really helping with my health. Please keep them coming.
I find that some essential oils are triggers for migraines for me. I am sensitive to smells, my very first migraine was triggered by perfume. Over time I've discovered that there are number of natural aromas that can be triggers for me, some have developed over time. Lavender is now a problem to me, and I've triggered a migraine with eucalyptus oil as well. It would be good to warn people that this can be a problem for some people, otherwise those people may actually make their migraines worse by using essential oils. Magnesium has helped me, and I've recently started butterbur. For my tightness in the neck, making a point to consciously relax often has helped, so has rubbing magnesium oil directly on the neck area, along with massage. Thanks for the presentation. I agree with a lot of what you said and am working on trying different things at present since I've had a rather dramatic increase in migraines recently.
Water Treatment---for many years I've done this and recommended this treatment but I put a pinch of salt on back of tongue with the first 8 ounces of water. (Sea salt best)
Don't forget about physical therapy!! We can do alllll kinds of natural remedies such as; soft tissue mobilizations, joint mobilizations, ergonomic assessments/ posture education, active release treatments, assess muscles around the skull that could be tight - suboccipitals, Sternocleidomastoid, upper trap, levator, paraspinals, also, TMJ muscles (buccinator and etc), functional movement, ROM deficits at joint or limited by musculature, movement compensations. There is soooo much more to PT that people even realize. It's way more than exercises- it's more of a neurophysiological approach to functional movement. Neurodevelopmental sequence is just an example!!
Speaking of additives, I used to always get a headache when we ate hot dogs when I was little. My mom said I was crazy, but they finally took out the red dye! Also, I got a headache after eating Chinese food a few years ago before I started my recovery diet, and I figured out they most likely added MSG.
Peppermint oil is my first level "go to" for migraines or cluster headaches. The peppermint oil immediately takes the pain down by 30%. I wipe a drop under my nose and breathe deeply and it is amazing the quick relief. Wiping peppermint oil on the back of my neck also relaxes the muscles and helps calm down the headache too. I have not been successful putting it on my temples because it always gets in my eyes and that is not pleasant.
I have Celiac Disease so am 100% gluten free. It's helped my migraines greatly. What foods can help my fibromyalgia...are there oils for it? I also have lichen planus. Thanks so much. Blessings....Beverly
To much water makes me sick, and will give me a headache. When I say “to much”, I should add, that my tolerance level for water is much lower than most people.
I suffer from hormonal migraines monthly. Does anyone have any tips that can help? I can not take BC pills any more because apparently when you're middle aged you're at a higher risk for blood clots while on them. It was the only thing that helped for a while.
DR josh can you tell us about people who've been surviving for acne problem can not eat and drink bad bacteria food and milk or dairy products,so what we should drink or eat in order to fill body daily need which is provides by dairy or dairy products.?
I've been having a headache I went to chiropractor and then I stop going now I have headache again what should I do it also makes me dizzy when I get it
Does anyone get the kind of headache that is pure pressure in the top of your head? I have been suffering with this headache for 5 years and for the last 3 years on a daily basis. I can take my hand and press down on the top of my head and it will completely stop. Upon release within 30 to 40 seconds the full pressure comes back. This problem has become so severe it is affecting my quality of life. Emergency room visits, afraid to go to sleep at night from weird Aura experiences. My neurologist has prescribed so many different medications, I’m afraid to take most of them. I recently had a burn type rash on my lower stomach area, I know it was a reaction to one of the medicines. I am trying magnesium, oolong tea, ginger, and lots of water. This a new journey for me, Thank you all for the many great comments.
Love your show and advice except for essential oils in bath water is a very bad idea especially for women. I tried it and it burned me in places no woman should be burned. 😢
I'm so glad these two gentlemen are presenting this information to everyone; I had to discover through trial and error. My major go to was always to drink water, wait a few minutes and drink more water. My headache or migraine would dissolve within 30 to 45 minutes
I have been using lavender essential oil instead of deodorant. It works amazingly well. Doesn't stop the perspiration but it does stop the body odor associated with sweating for me. And I smell good.
Gentleman,I have the most migraines in the World. When You have it,You feel sick,so u can not drink.Especially water makes me feel sick. But to avoid headacke recently I use a lot,i mean a lot of Magnesium and guess what:it helps!magnesium every 4-6 hours is sopercool!:-)Please tell to people!
Hi! Helene here from Stockholm, Sweden. I love essential oils. Mix coconut oil with tea tree, lavender and bergamot. Used for pain and healing small soars. I don't have any headaches but use peppermint essential oils to get a feeling of refreshed.
Hi, love your vids. I, too, suffered from 12 to 40 years with migraines. Lots of vomiting, light and sound sensitivity. I removed most processed food from our family diet and kept a diary. My headaches disappeared. My diary revealed that 80% of the time when I ate out, I had a migraine about 48 hours after. I mention this to my doctor but she said a 2 day delay was impossible. Is it possible? I am just happy they are still mostly gone after 10 years and I know that they are caused by food for me.
Peppermint is a lifesaver and a life changer. On the scalp the temples the neck front and back shoulders it’s amazing for migraines but don’t forget your cotton balls to put in your ear after massaging peppermint oil all over it helps.
It was odd to hear you mention jaw misalignment! That happened to me 40 years ago! I had cancer, a hysterectomy and then headaches so bad I threw up!! My Mother-in-law talked me into seeing a Chiropractor! Best thing I ever did!! On x-ray he found that when I opened my mouth, my jaws dislocated!! After surgery, all these years later, I rarely have a headache!! If you have a problem, no matter what it might be, see a CHIROPRACTOR!!!
I have suffered from cluster headaches and tension headaches and migraine headaches. And my tension headaches start from when I wake up in the morning. I have had them for sometime now. I have been to my doctors but they couldn't help. The pain is really horrible and I have to sleep all day. And I end up having a seizure as I have epilepsy.
Clove oil dabbed on tooth can take tooth pain away. For head ack coriander oil helps cool the head. I also used tiger balm on my head when I had cluster headaches
I also take way to many goody powders ughh I cannot drink any type of water,, it literally kills my gallbladder 😥. I try Gatorade and I do like it. I really do think dehydration is my big problem.
Im having HORRID HEADACHES/MIGRAINE TYPES! I know mine are triggered by the lack of sleep I am receiving because I work 2 jobs😑 Also My diet...ive been eating more processed foods cause of my new work schedule...Im VEGAN and have a super clean diet normally...however, since the 2 jobs plus lack of sleep (5 hrs a night 6 days a week) I have most definitely triggered my migraine headaches! I also suffer sinuses that adds to the inflammation. I feel great after well rested sleep..but head aches get worse through the day/debilitating bad😞
That explains a lot. I have headaches constantly! I started aligning my ears over my shoulder like Dr. Axe suggested; its a bit awkward but I have less neck stress. I'm a person who has many different types of pain at almost all times. I have Sciatic nerve pain and use Peppermint oil before doing yoga to help relax my body so there is less pain during the stretching. I sit at a desk attending to customers literally 16 hours a day and now I will get up and walk around whenever the opportunity arises. I've tried using Lavender at night to help me sleep, it hasn't been working really due to my back pain, or shoulder pains because I'm trying to sleep on my sides but I just end up hurting my shoulders; or my period. So I would like to know what I could do to help this problem; do I use Lavender with another oil?
When I've had a headache I have taken an organic coffee enema, and it gets rid of the headache every single time - lay on ri. side and massage under rib cage for 15 min. if you can. First use water to clean out so you don't waste the coffee. A coffee enema boosts my mood too.
Hi dr Axe I am Fathia watching from Saudi Arabia please need any home remedies for kids fever, I used rose water to damp my baby hair it's wok for a short period, i even us rose water ar a drink for Kids whith fever thankyou and God bless you
You probably know this but a fever is very normal and sometimes good. Just don't use Tylenol because it will allow toxins such as from vaccines to more easily cross the blood brain barrier - that's why kids die of SIDS (after the DPT shot - then the child gets a fever which is good but the parent gives the child tylenol at the Doctor's suggestion - so pathetic. Even a high fever for a short time is normal (according to Dr. Ed Group) just like high blood pressure for a short time isn't harmful.
Jordan Rivera thankyou Jordan, you mentioned vaccine can harm a kids brain, my older children 13 and 11 got all vaccines even the optional ones, because where we lived in Ottawa Canada the school board forced us to don it or not accept the kids in schools, but whith my 2 years old my husband refused to vaccinate the baby he said that will help him to get a strong immune system, what is your opinion ? Thankyou again.
Hi Dr. Axe. I use essential oils quite often to help me manage my headaches. I usually use peppermint oil and lavender or a headache blend. Peppermint oil helps for most mild headaches. I have noticed that sometimes depending on the type of headache that the oils can aggravate the headache. I get migraines and other episodic headaches similar to cluster headaches.
I need help with this, Easter Sunday I had to go in ambulance to emergency due to severe sinus infection. can I also take a ginger tea from the actual seasoning?
I have cervicogenic headaches I have cervical spondylitis. My garden has many herbs. (with an 'h') amongst them is a massive feverfew plant. When I feel a headache starting I pull off a couple of leaves and chew them. The headache goes in no time... Wonderful stuff... Good for lots of other pain relief too, Arthritis is a very important one...
I love your videos! I've used epsom salt with clary sage and frankinsce in the bath and it helped reduce menstrual cramps that were 7 , from scale 1-10

What about using the Peppermint Extract from the grocery store? 😟 I don’t want to put essential oils on my skin.

Treasuring Priceless Time zinc and magnesium helped me with hormone headaches. Also, sea buckthorn oil helps if you have dry skin and hormone issues.

I think so many people have food sensitivities because of all the GMO'S and other chemicals and additives.
Celery Juice is also very good for headache 🇬🇧
For migraine you can use an ice pack on the neck, back of the head, forehead/temples. Also throwing up helps.
