Buddy of mine from high school was smoking weed on top of the high school roof at midnight when cops showed up. He started running and the cops were chasing and he got taken to the ground and the cop asked "why were you running!" His response made the cop laugh "why were you chasing me?"
100% truth to everything slowing down. Feels almost like the matrix. Which is why it is very important to have as much training as you can get and be in best shape you can be. Because when that happens you’re not thinking you’re just doing. It’s amazing how your body and brain reacts.
You guys are spot on. Things happen also when you are working OT lol. I’ve had a lot of bad calls and fights just when working OT or going out of my way to help units.
This is a great podcast guys!! I just found you last week, when I watched the LASO SEB Sgt episode. Billy works (worked?) for my old Dept (County), so we know mutual people between the four of us, as I know people in all 3 depts. Small world! Be safe boys!!
Love to hear you guys talk about stuff. Love the inside look. I think you could actually cut some segments and post as separate extra videos, like "my grossest cop moment", and then just have those 10 mins on that vid with a link to this one. Kyle's story, the Cops experience, all those can be stand alone videos also, as extra content. Wishing you all the best! Surprised you dont have more views.
Kyle’s story! 😳🤣 Have you guys considered posting RUclips shorts? It’s the equivalent of Instagram reels. The channel might gain some traction from it.
I got to thinking in reference to chasing the crack head across the street and to not get hit by a car. I can definitely see one of us initiate a foot pursuit followed by the hit song “There goes my hero…” everything is slowed down and whammy you 10-50 a car!
how different things are across the us is something that's always been weird to me coming from the uk because we have standardised training across the country like I can go to the tip of scotland and they are useing same lingo, tactics, equipment, standards as they are down here in the south of england
Being on SWAT, I’m wondering why you backed out of the house/apartment after shooting the guy. We usually train to engage and advance on the threat. The best advice I ever got from an FTO was “treat everyone with respect, but have a plan to kill everyone.” Like you said, you NEVER know when that day will come. I had two partners murdered last year, one was working an OT shift.
I know this is an old video and you guys may not be able to answer this. But you guys are cops and I am not yet. Do you guys know what full time swat teams are in Illinois?
@@danielhawkins9717 I would say worry about getting into a large agency first then look to get at least 5 years of experience and then look for the full time teams! It will help you a lot

Spot on reference handling each call with the utmost importance and respect.
Love this channel , I’m 35yo and trying to be a police officer now. My English isn’t 100% , I’m listening this channel every day . Thank you heroes !

Love the OJ bottle story. "Just get out of here, I'm not touching you, go away!"
Let’s hear your embarrassing moment or funny story on patrol!

Great conversations!! Thank you for your service!!
Thank you brotha 👊🏼
This is great content guys. It would be great to see a comparison of life as a SWAT team member on a full-time team versus a collateral team.
Thanks for the support.

Great episode
Thank you, my man! Thanks for watching.
Watching all your videos is great. Great content but I’m most impressed with the beard transformations 😂
So many OIS's where LEO's rounds go through or near what the suspect was holding.
The old adage is true: "Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill every person you meet."
Guy just itching his nose hole podcast. Loaded haha

Hey does that Sunny D thing actually work? I might try that myself. lol It puts the D in Sunny D.
It did for that guy haha! Try it out man, let us know 😂
‘’Tread meal’’ 😂😂
Where I live even though you go to College you still have to go to the Academy
Okay so how do I find theee episodes of cops with y’all on it. Assuming I won’t get a reply because I never do but it’s worth a shot

No, It depends on the department and the size of it. Generally large agencies have them. Good luck Daniel.

Kyle’s story Lmfao
What if you are an ex-Green beret sniper or Navy Seal? Do they they care if the dude doesn't interview well but has a badass background?
For the algorithm 🙏
