Thank you sir, but I have one doubt about the micro partition strategy, it is somewhat similar to parquet format...as they also store metadata information for every part files and provide columnar storage, so exactly it is different then that parquet?
After searching for 3 days on youtube, finally found this video. Very clear and excellent explanation. Wish you upload the other parts of snowflake as well
I'm absolutely new to Snowflake, and this was easily the best video I could've run into to get insights into Snowflakes architecture. I could even relate to how azure Synapse architecture compares with Snowflakes architecture! Kudos, great video!
OMG....I have seen and Listen to 100's of Instructors and Videos . But NOTHING like you sir. You are SUPER in you knowledge and Presentation skill. NOT Just GOD but GAAD bless you.
LOL this is about 100x better than Snowflakes own overview videos in terms of explaining what Snowflake is, what its advantages over other platforms is, etc.
Sir, you are amazing teacher.. your style of teaching is excellent. I have gone through your Kafka and Spark tutorial and now i am very much confident in these tech. Thanks million sir...
Sir I had little to no b/g of DW; but I still managed to understand the concept completely. Ur lecture is much much better than formal AWS Sumit discussion of Snowflakes
Hi Prashant, this is one of the best in-depth architectural overview. Please keep it up. I do follow all your videos for more than 2 years now. Thank you!
Nice explanation. But at 9:20 new warehouses will not start and shutdown automatically, it will increase/decrease cluster based on workload and based on maximum cluster defined
I like all of your videos never miss any of them. I'm your great follower from Tamilnadu just because of you I got a big data job and enough confident in spark.
working on GCP these days and in BQ for the past 1 week ...came to know of this Snowflakes ....this video shows the fundas and more general knowledge for a Snowflakes newcomer especially from cost point of view. Seems they have started supporting GCP of late...v good video for a DB/Cloud guy but totally new in SF
I just saw your video collection . Looks like you can be the R.S aggarwal and H.C verma for engineers in data field . Will go through all your videos and will try to learn and cross verify my concepts .
This is the first PowerPoint presentation I have seen in a long time. It took me back to a simpler time... a time when reading bullet points to a bored audience was still considered useful content.
Really amazing Sir.. Your clear cut, upto the point and apt visual presentation made the complex things easy to understand. Thank you so much sir.. Keep going and stay safe.. I'm recommending your channel to my friends as it has lot of good content w.r.t to latest technologies..
Separation of storage and compute is a big one. Auto scaling. Reducing administrational overhead (indexing etc.), Time travel and zero copy cloning to name but a few of the disruptive features Snowflake offers.
You are a cut to the point person with great concepts , clear voice and thought models which you have developed with actual working experience . Would be an honour to connect with you , whats your name , i want to get added in your friend list at linkedin .
Sir, it's amazing video. This video is full of information. I really appreciate your knowledge and hard work behind the scene. I'm waiting second part of Snowflake architecture video. If you already created that video, Please share the link for the same. Thanks and Regards, Pankaj Arora
