- This is our MSC Yacht Club Review - based on our cruise aboard MSC Virtuosa. MSC Virtuosa is a state-of-the-art cruise ship operated by MSC Cruises. In this MSC Yacht Club Review, we will give you every detail you need to know - covering what's included as part of the extra premium you'll pay, and whether it is worth the extra money?! MSC Virtuosa Cruise Ship is a large, and very busy ship - but while you are in MSC Yacht Club, you will feel as if you are on a small, intimate, 6 star cruise ship. In this MSC Virtuosa Yacht Club Review, you will get to see all of the stunning features and facilities that MSC Yacht Club has to offer - including the Top Sail Lounge, the Yacht Club Restaurant, the Yacht Club suites, and the incredible MSC Yacht Club Sundeck & Solarium.

Very enjoyable and informative we are in YC on Virtuosa next April going down to the canaries, and all being well in September too so looking forward to it we will mix rest of ship with YC especially in evening with regards entertainment. My wife is coeliac and needs GF menu I have seen a few menus last week posted on an FB group I am in to cater for GF which is so reassuring.

They really are great with any food allergies, you can also ask for specific things that aren’t on the daily menu, just give them some notice

Hello, thanks for your comment! Yes, the drinks package includes a good selection of wines and champagne by the glass. Some wines and champagnes will come at extra cost though :)
At 0.20, that pool right at the front, is that for staff only?
Great video, we have just got off the Seashore, our second YC cruise - point of order though, you only get the basic browse WiFi included, not the browse and stream, we upgraded for one week, one person for $56 (two devices as you mentioned) and had one device each with stream and one device each as browse as it’s two devices per person, so effectively, four per cabin with two of you.
Hi Andrew - thanks for your comment! We'll have to stand by what we said in the video - a Yacht Club benefit is that you receive the Premium WiFi package (browse & stream), allowing for unlimited usage on up-to two devices per person. We most certainly had this perk aboard MSC Virtuosa, as we were using all 4 devices. I've attached a link to MSC's website showing that this is a perk you receive, or should have received whilst onboard. Hope you had a great time on Seashore - how does YC compare to the Meraviglia-class ships?

@Sail Away with Dan & Jay It literally says Browse on that link, not stream, I suggest you reread it. The sundeck on the Seashore is far superior but tge bar and restaurant is better on the Grandiosa.
@@sircravenuk it does say Browse, but it also says premium internet package with two devices. We were using 4 devices on this cruise, and were streaming Netflix throughout - we weren't charged for any upgrade. Based on our own personal experience, we were able to browse and stream - but thanks for raising it.
Interesting. We're considering a Caribbean cruise on Seascape for Jan 24 - so it's particularly good to read that the solarium and sundeck is even more superior.
Hi, thanks for your video content, very informative indeed! I’ve a quick question if you don’t mind? When @ YC restaurant, you mention premium drinks. If these drinks are above the €13/$13 bracket what happens? Or(hopefully), is that null and void in the YC restaurant / pool bar? Thanks again and keep up the good work!
Hello Helen, thanks for watching! So, if you have a drinks package you can drink any beverage that's charged up to $13/13EU. For example, you buy an expensive cocktail charged at $14.50 - you will be billed $1.50 to your card. A vast majority of the drinks listed are within your allowance though! Hope this helps :)

I am hanging my head in shame! After three cruises in the MSC Yacht Club, I wasn't aware (until now) that they served an Afternoon Tea... 😭
Strange the menu was the same as MDR? I've seen more recent videos of Meraviligia, Seaview, Grandiosa and Divina, and it's a la carte, and the YC has its own kitchen.🤔 maybe during your voyage the YC chefs had covid and so they needed a plan B🤔
Hello Stephanie - it is an A La Carte menu, but it's the same as what's on the menu's in the MDR, it's just cooked better. We happened to be onboard at the same time as a friend, and she had exactly the same meal as we did. However, our's was presented in a much nicer way than her meal. She also said that her meal was very bland and mediocre, but ours was pretty good and full of flavour. We would prefer it if it was a signature menu in Yacht Club, to reflect the premium people pay. When you say they bring you a bottle of wine or spirt when boarding, is that any kind you want or from a pre approved list? If I asked for a good bottle of vodka like absolute would I get it?
Hey Cliff! Funny you say that Dan actually asked for absolute vodka and got it! So we would say yea it’s pretty much anything within reason!
It’s an approved list but it’s pretty good - we just had Absolute Vodka and Tanqueray Gin as we had two back to back cruises so got one for each cruise
Thank you for the video! We booked our first time cruise in MSC YC. Considering the food is the same as the main diner, is it possible to order pizza from specialty restaurant? I saw other videos of people ordering room service custom made pizza which are sold in specialty restaurant .
Hello, thanks for your comment! You can't order food from a speciality restaurant, however you can order great pizza by room service free of charge in Yacht Club! The room service pizza we order was speciality restaurant quality though. Hope this helps :)

Thanks for sharing this information! Is there a dress code for the Yacht club restaurant for breakfast and lunch? Or can you just cover up and lunch straight out of the pool?
Hey! there is no official dress code for YC during the day, so yes drying off and covering up after the pool, to then go dine is perfectly fine, however they do have 1/2 formal evenings in the dining room in YC, but we saw some passengers dressed extremely formal, any others not so much, so it’s down to the individuals preference ☺️

As for the vegan dinners, did you get any pasta?! Or are they “too Italian” to make any without egg?
Yes, they did serve vegan pasta dishes! Even though they didn’t have a menu for vegetarians/vegans, they went to a lot of effort to provide me with a meal each evening!
Looks amazing,however,as simple as it sounds,those fake flowers put me off!😆 I suppose I could manage! X
Thanks for watching as always! Its a shame, because other cruise lines like Cunard, Holland America etc provide real flowers so we're sure they could manage it too. But, it hasn't put us off Yacht Club, as we've got 2 more MSC cruises coming up :)

@@iloveanimals1662 yes! Not quite as good as Retreat with Celebrity, that to be fair that is a lot more money!!
@@sailawaymag We've been on a YC cruise 3 times and recently in the Celebrity Retreat twice on Summit and Apex. While we do think Luminae had better food than the YC restaurant on average, we think the YC facilities on the ships we were on (Meraviglia, Seaside and Seashore) were much nicer. The key difference is that the rest of the ship on Celebrity will be much closer to the Retreat areas, whereas on MSC ships outside the YC is a much more energetic, loud, and crowded atmosphere. Sometimes that's annoying, but other times it's a nice change of pace.
Your video was spot on for what we experienced too, except that our YC menus were different from the main dining rooms. (Our last sailing was early in 2023, we'll see if that's still true or not on our next.)
When we looked to book our next cruise we were able to get on a 14 day cruise in a YC Deluxe Grand Suite on the Seascape for the same price as a 7 day cruise in a Celebrity Suite on the Beyond, so guess which one we went for. :) Best of all, it starts this Saturday!
92 more days until we board Virtuosa in a duplex, we cant wait to be back in England.

Hiya, we're on now and tonight is an elegant night and 3 vegetarian dishes on the menu!?. which seems excessive. Border force on as well for a free holiday lol. It's been ok so far
Hardly excessive - meat eaters traditionally like more than one choice on a menu, in the same way vegetarians might… glad to read that this has been addressed since we were last on!

@@sailawaymag I know you said there wasn't enough vegetarian meals on the menu but now 3 out of 6 is ridiculous and excessive.
So you think 3 meat options is insufficient, but one vegetarian option is acceptable? The best way to please everybody is just have vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free menus on hand for when there’s little choice on the main restaurant menu. That is how most cruise lines operate, and seems like a fair compromise to keep both carnivores and herbivores happy :)

Wow! I know the Yacht Club is probably quite expensive, however after this video guys you’ve really made me want to start saving my penny’s for it! Guessing shorter sailings are cheeper and probably more achievable? Haha
Thank you very much! Shorter sailings will be slightly cheaper, but still quite expense but defiantly worth it, especially when you consider what’s included!
Premium wifi is useless - couldn't stream any PLEX movies from my home library/ NAS over the internet - now uploading videos to facebook took hours. Nothing premium about it
WiFi can be so hit and miss, by far one of the best we’ve used at sea is Royal Caribbean’s ☺️
Which is more luxurious MSC Virtuosa or World Europa. I know some other branded of most luxurious ships 🚢 , not too naive on sailing. Europe definitely can define luxury, but traveling and exploring the world are not just being luxurious yet it is more on living very well. This exclusivity degrades travelers who just wanted to love life and live well. Endorse and promote your aka James Bond fancy unrealistic action movies or a Titanic style is pretty much history, I mean come on please move on for pabor pobrecitas en pobrecitos. Dont wish to be a prisoner of luxuries, its a very small world! Ms travel bliss here ✌️🌏🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊.
Morning Lysel! We can only speak of the luxury aboard MSC Virtuosa - but having seen the artist impressions for MSC World Europa, it likes like it may have the edge ever so slightly!
