I'd stay away from the high priced gel batteries. From my personal experience. If you don't have a damn good chance of flipping upside down, these batteries are no where near worth the extra money.
+moe salem You'll need to determine the correct battery size for your truck, but there's no reason you couldn't use a marine starting battery. Marine batteries tend to be more expensive than automotive batteries, however.

The cheap kind, i.e. unsealed lead acid which you maintain by adding distilled water.
