This is the last song I sent to my Dad before he committed suicide two days later. He was a big fan, and I sent him pretty much every song you’ve ever released on RUclips. I’ll always hold this song dear, thanks for all your music man. It impacts more than you know.

I’ve been fighting off suicidal thoughts. Things like waking up and even opening my eyes have been the hardest thing ever for me. At times felt like I had no one and have legitimately felt like I have no reason to be on this earth. Zach brother your music has saved my life. as excited as i am for American Heartbreak, i'd love it if Zach released the raw versions of his songs alongside the studio produced ones, like he did with something in the orange.
Words have power, and words like "fuck" are hard on the ear because they convey a certain intensity. "Headed South" and "Me and Mine" is an amazing example of how "fuck" can be used to peak a song perfectly. I thought the first upload was amazing. However, a man's convictions and moral compass are all that he has. If this version is what comes from the heart, that's all that matters. Like I said on the pervious upload, ZLB couldn't miss if he tried.
Yessir. Well said. I'm a God-fearing man myself. However, I don't even find works like "fuck" to be "bad." Some knucklehead just came along and decided to coin certain words as "bad." lol. The only bad word God ever spoke of was...His name in vein. Anyways, like you said, the use of rough language in songs is such a great way to convey so much intense emotion, as you said. Zach's most "profane" songs are always my favorites, for this very reason!
I just can’t get enough. I found you at a pretty bad time in my life and listening to the words you sing brings me a different kind of peace. I could play every single song of yours on repeat.
How can he just put such fire ass songs on RUclips and not drop all of them on Apple Music like I’m trying to hear this on repeat in my car without ads for hours

Came home from deployment in 2010, it was fine, stressful but nothing I would consider traumatic. I spent the next decade on a roller coaster of good times with high confidence, self worth, and really dark times. As I continued with my next career I finally broke. Abusing adderall to manage work, a drink or a bottle for taking too much adderall, marijuana to keep my nerves. Have been in recovery for three years now. I’ll never fully right half the things I’ve done wrong. But I can still to even the ledger. So thankful for PTSD Foundation of America for helping me understand and process my trauma. Absolutely! I've thought this the moment I first heard it. It's one I'm surprised he don't perform more, and I'm even more shocked it's not more popular. Ain't another song out there by any artist that comes close to the magic and message in this one!

I found Zach the week that a good friend hung himself in November 19’. I had just gotten out of jail and made the decision to leave crime and was living in Boston climbing the corporate ladder of at&t for 3 years. I loved the buzz of the city but hated everything about it (if that makes sense). I loved the rush of the sale, climbing the ladders, and was good at teaching others to take advantage of the everyday working man. Once I was offered a position as regional manager with great pay, company car, blah blah blah. I said no. And I took a 40k+ pay cut to get back into the trades as an apprentice plumber at 29yo. Just found this song now and it hits home. Thanks

I know, I will leave now
@@samreynolds9925 Golden reference and a missed opportunity on my part😂
That one thumbs down from the guy who works over at Verizon tho.. Thank you for another wonderful piece, brother. Please keep up all the amazing work, the world needs more of you and your kind, Zach Bryan.
Hey mate just wanted to say thank you for everything your music has done for me and if you ever come to New Zealand you are more than welcome to come stay at my house
We love you brother, we understand you. Thank you, as much as I can express, you're a blessing to us all. I hope you inspire our future generations and continue to bring the best music to our world. You don't know how badly we all crave the real in this world today. You are a blessing man, we love all you create and we can't wait for your blessing's to come forth and you to continue with what you're doing.
Man I really really really liked the original version, that was something special
Same but I just like a version is back up. Song is lyrical masterpiece
@@breylankemp7596 yeah true but there isn't any passion behind it like the first version. This version seems fabricated the first seems original
@@denzel5331 completely disagree... no idea how you can say there isn’t any passion behind this.... incredible song and significantly better quality than the first one
@@user-lt2sc3lk7m I'm not saying there isn't im saying it seems more forced in this version, but hey different strokes for different folks
@Daxtyn Cornelius lol right
Might be one of my new favorite song lyrics this man has put out! Really speaks to what’s happening in this country. (Even thought it’s about a crappy experience with Verizon lol)
This is when a man puts his heart and soul into a song. Pure talent
Damn Zach fellows like myself have been waiting 40 years for ya. Never change man, this is what folk/red dirt is supposed to sound like
Play harder brother you just earned a friend u don’t know me but I feel your soul down here in port isabel Texas
Wow I heard this song for the first time at the show in Columbus last night. BLEW ME AWAY. Especially when the foot stomp hit. I Can’t stop listening.
This man will send chills to your core with every line that comes from his mouth.
You 94 people thst gave this a thumbs down wouldn't know real honest music if it slapped you in the face. As a singer songwriter myself, I personally think Zach Bryan is one of the best singer songwriters I've heard in years. Truly talented and an inspiration.
