My partner and I got married after 20 years together. He was diagnosed with CML (leukemia) the month after the wedding. With my support and encouragement, he is in excellent health despite leukemia and complication of Lupus, and the daily oral chemo agents. Support, understanding, and love are the most important factors in a relationship. We are now 30 years together. This film truly represents the essence of a longtime companion/relationship. Great film/story.

I’ve watched many, many Gay short films over the past few years on RUclips and learned and enjoyed so many because of the arc of the story or the lessons being taught, messages of hope etc.
This is the first time I can honestly say that that the combination of soundtrack, the loving way the characters played with each other in the bedroom and out in the garden I found myself saying I almost didn’t care if there was a point that the movie was building up to, a story, a message.
It was such a lovely sweet portrayal of a couple doing mundane things in bed, in garden etc, it just reminded me of those movies or shows u remember seeing which we would call wholesome, Apple pie, sweet and we looked back in nostalgia at the life. M
This movie gave me those types of vibes.
No abuse
No discrimination
No bullying
No suicidal thoughts
Just a loving gay couple confronting a potentially life changing situation and dealing with it with love, support, and understanding.
No supporting cast necessary
Thank you for the love, direction and storyline you produced.
And kudos to the soundtrack. One of the few times that I have felt so moved in a short film just by the accompanying music.

Who wants wholesome gay couples? They aren’t a straight male/female couple. Gay people should be depicted with our unique qualities that make us so special and wildly awesome compared to everyone else.

I really cry every single time when I watch this, what a good story. Specially the message throughout the story about the unconditional love between the characters. Matthew never left Antonio alone, he stood by his side no matter what and showed his real support and that's what a stable couple do. What a great story. Deserves a big applause. 👏🏳️🌈

It actually means having such a companion who is there in each of your life's ups and downs, highs and lows.
Antonio and Matthew portray that nature. I felt really happy to see how Matthew comforted him and also knew that his Tony would beat it and not let a medical condition destroy him and his career. I could not see Antonio crying and breaking down. Both of them tried to hide the pain from each other until they met at the bathroom and couldn't hold it anymore.
I couldn't stop my tears( I mean who could be able to !?!??!).
My love and hugs to both of them portraying the character. Everytime l cried, l reminded myself that this is just a short film.
But it reminded me that it can actually be someone's true story and how great both of them were that l felt that it was Antonio and Matthew's story itself.

That was so hard to watch. I sobbed along with both of them. I could feel the fear, pain, and anxiety, especially from Antonio. Poor guy. I'm so glad he married such an amazing guy. These two are a testiment to how a solid relationship looks. No matter the trials, they're there for each other.
I have health issues and I'm terrified of burdoning my fiance. I related to this film on a deep level.

So many compliments from the Netherlands. After having cried (who can watch this without tears?)I can only say: such friendship, such love, such understanding, such support, such devotion, one wishes a friendship with all this. My partner left. All of a sudden. For "something younger". All that mentioned above was there. A bond for a lifetime. At least I thought. How I needed (and still need) what we agreed when we partnered , for the well known good times and bad times. It's unbelievable how some people can leave you from one day to another, after so many years of being united. In this short film, although a different subject, it all comes back to being faithful and supporting the partner. Although everything collapses in their lives, they still have each other. Alone you cannot manage (certainly when getting blind) and when you can, it is surviving, no longer "joie de vivre". Instead of living one's own life (when left and no love, no shoulder) one watches films like these. Thank you for that. For the film, the idea, the realisation, the choice of the actors, for controlling their play, as it's all so natural It's strange, but in the end I feel comforted to see true friendships, if only on the screen. If you are young(er) you are on stage, if you get older, you become the spectator. I was not prepared for that. It's training on the job. Wishing you all true friendships!

Was crying my eyes out in this film, beautifully done and fabulously acted. An echo of my own story lost my beautiful husband , first he went Blind then Deaf (Type 1 Diabetes} but our commitments made us mighty together. Well done guys Brilliantly done.

Amazing film, well done all round, however I am astounded that even in the US medical system some one would be told "coronary occlusion, blind in 24 hours" and then sent home!

Greetings from southern Ontario Canada as a front line health care worker this story line is very difficult to imagine unless you are actually living with a partner or family member who for a strange reason cannot see anymore there's eye tests through numerous eye doctors and surgeon's, I have glaucoma but this eye scenario seems drastic 😮

I feel the pain and going through something similar my husband has MS and is hard very hard
I’m gonna do the opposite of what most people here are doing. Stop making sad gay films. Why do gay lives have to be full of drama, sadness and suffering? Why can’t they portray common and happy lives? Not all gays go through hardships on a daily basis. There are happy moments as well. Do you know romantic comedies? The straight people make tons of them every year and it works. People don’t wanna see just misery and sorrow. When these films aren’t about coming out of the closet, they kill one of the partners, or they have to break up because one of them decided to keep a heterosexual life or it’s a disease. That only shows young generations that our life is full of tears. Make nice and happy films for us. Leaving is hard by itself. I’m sorry, but I wanna see gays laughing, making love and travelling.
