*Everybody's gangsta till the Hiace starts drifting.*
Best Hiace drift ever.
Me: my car has 2 seats and is kinda quick
Someone: is it a sports car?
Me: heck no it’s a Hiace
👍😂
Good one! 😂
Put twin turbo on it and here we go
HiAce GTR
Fa Ries there’s one in Japan with the GTR twin turbo V6
Kenji Almonté hiAce Supra 🙄
HiAce GRMN
No, Lotus Hivora.( Evora)
Because 7GR is 2GR with D-4S injection, and Evora's engine is supercharged 2GR.
I legit want this van. Toyota are not getting rid of their naturally aspirated 3.5 V6 and I love it.
Front engine V6 , RWD and LSD .. this recipe should be used for the camry , avalon , aurion not a passenger bus .. toyota planning team is a mess lol ..
Abdelhameed Alotaibi but then your brothers won’t be able to do fwd drift 200kph lol
Roman Shapovalov lool .. dont worry front wheel drive , rear or even 4WD .. as long as it has 4 tires we will drift it ..
Its not a mess. We need powerful engine for the cargo that heavy.
maska rasyad a diesel would be better suited
Fortunately they do that but Unfortunately for different markets from yours...
Guess Australia Post have no reason to be late delivering parcels now
They might be late because they binned the hiace
So Canada Post will late because of Ford Transit Connect. Oh, no!
Australia Post uses Renault and Mercedes vans, not Toyotas
When it's knock off time and you need to get to the pub, this engine will do the job.
This is legit the same speed as a toyota 86/subaru brz.
No it isn't, it's two whole seconds slower to 100
Hahah that's embarrassing
@@Cykoid 86/BRZ are just under 8 sec to 100...
zacsg1 I own one they’re 6.5 0-100
@@Cykoid i have a fiesta st that does 6.9 sec 0-100. Never lost to a brz, and there's quite a few around. 6.5, youre dreaming!!
I just ordered one of these, I bought it over other vans in class because of the 3.5 V6/RWD layout. Take note manufacturers, not everyone cares about fuel economy more than power. More of this 👍👍
Jeremy Clarkson working for Toyota now?
POWAAAAA
Scotty Kilmer does
But I like the result
because they can
If Clarkson was working for Toyota he would put a bugatti w16 in the hiace
toyota you legends. rwd, 3.5 v6. absolute gods
this should be called hiace sport
No. Hiace hearse.
Nuclear Pixel If also 2019 Mazda Bongo replaced with 2018 Ford Econovan in Australia.
We don't even get any HiAce at all!
Hi-on-ice
Or the HiAce Wangan Midnight Edition.
Similar 3.5L V6 like in the Aurions, except matched with RWD and a van. Where was this awesome combination for the Aurion? Would've sold like hot cakes....
Exactly.
Similar to the old rav 3rd gen engine
I would have snapped one up
Yes, Toyota actually makes it, it’s called a crown and it’s Japan only.
Reminds me of Clarksons quote
"Engine at the front, gearbox in the middle, drive at the rear, page one chapter one of the petrosexual handbook"
this is probably the only car that comes as a sleeper from the factory
The camry and the magnas where always good sleepers stock
@@jarrynsmith the new staria base model is sleeper too

@@Japaneseyap 😘
@@akent46 i dont tinbk thats even the plates haha xoxoxoxo
@@Japaneseyap I would love a boosted 86 though 👌
@@akent46 they react well to boost, apparently supercharging is the way to go.
Imagine that 3.5l v6 with the old model that weighed near half a ton less
We hired this and we drove it around it was so damn fast and quick I couldn’t believe that I was in a van the response was amazing
Does that mean I get my parcels in time?
Yes it does
Great. Just what we needed. White van delivery drivers with more power weaving in and out of traffic. 😖
Considering the parachute aerodynamics, the lack of turbine charger magic, that's very impressive indeed.
Before watching video : Lmao whats the point, vans are slow
After watching video : awwwww maaaaaaaan
Pdrive coming through with the goods yet again. Nothing is more entertaining than a fast van.
8.38 for 0-100.... What? That’s amazing!
Nice add at the begining, so well placed. I'm sure all of the guys who clicked to watch a vid about how fast and loud a V6 Hiace is where super interested in what Oil of oley can do for their tradie man eyelids. Such well placed advertising RUclips great job.
Your channel made my mind up.
I now own one (the V6 petrol) and its awesome...
Kinda big in the city but that's ok, I'm moving to the country and will be using it to owner build my dream house:)
How many Kms you get from a tank highway driving? Manual or auto? Getting close to picking one up myself!
@@fedgshhsgdjk Iv'e never actually checked:)
It's at least half what my RX8 Turbo gets so I'm happy with it.
My RX8 uses 21 liters per 100km but it makes 300KW ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks for the reply! I can’t imagine it’s any worse than my current 2.4L hiace
What,ur rx8 drinks 21l,/100km? Thats way too much..@@r1yamahamini
I wish we had this bad boy van in Europe, instead of the horrible ProAce Verso. It's just a rebadged Peugeot Expert or Citroen Jumpy. The HiAce is its own thing, pure Japanese.
You're completly right. Toyota don't uses it's potential
@@thatswiss1385 or maybe due to EU emissions laws, and the big V6 being too thirsty and dirty.
@@sergiupuscasu2496 yeah but they could offer the 2.4 D4D from the Hilux or a Hybrid powertrain like the one in the RAV4🤷♂️ I don't know if those powertrains would fit in there but if yes it would be something nice for over here
@@thatswiss1385 it's probably too much to ask for. Europe doesn't care about cars anymore. Just how to make money off them by making them worse.
What I mean is that new cars in Europe are fitted with all sorts of emissions filters that are only going to break. That and other shitty technology.
@@sergiupuscasu2496 you're right. Sadly...
Now put fatter tires with a stiffer suspension and you got yourself a Hiace GTR
No. GTR is ffor nissan. It would be GRMN TRD.
@@blackheavyblans or that lol
No jokes guys this van is definitely faster than my 2015 4 cylinder camry🌚🌚🌚
Weird to see a van so well equipped like a typical car would be.
Touchscreen? Automatic transmission? Digital dash display? Safety stuff?
The typical vans I'm used to seeing, you'd be lucky if it even has air conditioning...
(Ok it wasn't that bad. But generally they pretty much have zero to none equipment in there.)
Its quick given its’s a big long box.
Not exactly an aerodynamic car lol.
Well dome toyota
The ultimate burnout machine. A van, who knew?
Here in the Philippines we have the HiAce Commuter Deluxe 2.7L 4 Cylinder Turbo Intercooler Diesel engine with 176 HP.
2.8*
Same engine with innova
I have en Peugeot Expert 2.0 blue HDI automatic with 177 HP 👍. 0-100 kmph in 8.9 seconds.
My dad used to drive this.(9 seats version) He used to drive this from Xi‘an to Beijing.
I wanna see a shorter wheelbase, 4x4 version of this van and i wanna see it on the dunes 🤪
It would be even more ridiculous with a manual transmission
Lol it’s the new Supra in van style
Bring this to UK as van drivers are crazy here
This van is a legend
Damn....this van makes my mouth water
It makes you drool.
Toyota should place this engine in the Rav4. It's loud, it's quick and it sounds great.
Rav4 had a 3.5l engine in the past, great combination. Bad ideia from toyota to stop it...
@@fernandopereira6473 exactly.
Pretty sure they got rid of the v6 from the rav and chuck it in this van haha
@@shamingandembrassingdriver2718 that was about 10 years ago.
and this is what it goes like...
Lol that line never gets old!
Keen to see these things doing loops at Saturday night skids.
Go the 2GR-FE! One of the best V6s out there!
Was that a slight loss of traction @ about 80 (in 0-100) ?
hit a bump you spastic
chingy calm down mate go and eat some fucking noodles or whatever
Dude this thing is faster off the line than most middle-class sedans LOL.
1: Will it come to europe?
2: wanna see the same test, but with cargo.
Someone should put a Lotus supercharger and mapping from an Exige S
Farie Indriawan ikr
The Hilux petrol is 4.0 litre version of this engine but they stopped selling it now
They should bring it back or use this engine rather than the DPFuc*#d 2.8 rubbish...
Sounds very similar to it too.
1GR engine is good at low revolution torque. I miss my dad's Prado LC120 GX 4.0V6.
This needs a turbocharge mod 😂 it will be such a sleeper
you can skid any hiace lol the old 2.7 loved it
GAVSTAAH , especially the 99-04 models. You just had to be careful with the clutch. Wasnt too hard to get it making smoke instead of the rear tyres if you tried slipping it too much.
My dad used to drive the 2010 version with 2.7L 2TR engine. Slow as turtle.
About the same as a 86GT
spastic.
@@mattyoz0 little too close to home hey mate?
@@iWingzFromKFCNice try. I own a 2018 bmw m140i. Btw liking your own comment is pathetic.
@@mattyoz0 bahaha what are you on about champ.
No it isn't, an 86 could botch the launch and mis-shift and still out accelerate it.
I have the RAV4 2012 with this motor option (CV6 )and believe me something that small with AWD it's scary.Bought it for the missus but it's a fucking wild ride when you give it some boot.
Sv6 commodores will be given a run for their money now.
Damn, that's faster than my modified Honda Jazz but I'll still win in the corners and in fuel economy.
Is it the 2GR out of the 08 - 12 Rav4? I own a 2012 V6 Rav4 and they go well.
新型ハイエース初めて見たらすげえ形とデザインやなw

They need the 4.0 v6 hilux back to compete with the ranger raptor etc, with a coil rear end would be wicked
If you cut out the body, and draped a sedan body over that platform instead, you would have a nice car. Maybe.
Let's hope it's also sold here
Because the one shown at auto show only came with 2.8l
Being axed from the Oz Hiace lineup, announced 5 days ago...
This hiace van toyota model is very handy in Vietnam market. Car prices are very high compared to the EU and US, Vietnam Toyota car prices are almost equal to prices in the US and EU, many Vietnamese expect the price. Reasonable sale to buy toyota hiace Van 2020. Thank you for helping me...
Sounds just like my Aurion! Almost the exactly same engine.
Damn they would do something extraordinary if this Van were modded in Thailand. Thai’s scene is getting ahead in automotive industries
that actually sounds good
I’m impressed. Most petrol vans are all FWD. Go Toyota!
That moment when a commercial car has a better engine note then a Honda civic.
This van is badass
What is the purpose of this big machine for the blind van? which company is willing to pay for the thirsty gas bill?
Is this the same engine that's in USA model Toyota Tacoma? It also have 3.5 v6 engine and sounds the same
Nice burnout bro
That's basically a Toyota Sienna without the more "luxurious" interior and it's rwd while the Toyota sienna is fwd, another difference this van is using most likely the transmission that was in the 13-17 Toyota Sienna. Correct me if I am wrong but I am pretty sure about that.
Imagine if Toyota used v6 in the 86 for a higher performance variant. That would be the answer to everyone wanting the Supra to be stick. If they were to do that it would probably start in the 40s.
omg im still driving the old 2003 hiace.
For me 2011. Swapped with this engine though.
Is this engine coming from Nissan ? I thought Toyota only had the 4.0 V6 in its current inventory.
This van is an absolute sleeper!
Oh what a feeling
Cool van!
you guys need to search "2jz hiace" on youtube .. thats how a hiace should go like
Wish they offered v6 in the hiace here in the philippines.
Kilowatts? Really Australia?
What is this a fridge? (Although it does look like one)
Yeah really kilowatts we follow the metric system maybe you’ll join us in the 21st century soon
Perfect sleeper
Now lets put a big turbo on it and give it a tune!
Imagine bringing a turbo built Hiace to battle up a stock GTR
That is insane!
this thing should actually be fun to drive
WHAT KINDA UNITS ARE YOU USING!
Japan: *drifts this*
Good stuff how many litres per 100k ?tank
Official average in Australia is 12L/100km.
The rest of the world: wow is that a fast Van
Muricans: ItS NOt PoWeRFuLL EnOugH, NEeDs a V12
Nissan Urvan :*oh shit i cant do that*
Why didn't they put a diesel V6 to the Fortuner and Hilux? Or even this petrol V6 in the Camry. Still, huge respect for Toyota
The 3.5 V6 is available in the camry in US
Hideous looking tho, il stick to my 08 thanks!
It not goes long time when someone builts it a drift van.
Will love to see this drag against ,vw caravelle and Mercedes Vito
We must get this thing in South Africa, we'll have the fastest taxis in the world! Hahaha
Its already out in South Africa duh.
Should of stuck the v6 in the tarago too
Fastest van in Aus?
Even faster than Mercedes V300d.
Wait until taxi drivers in South Africa get a hold of this
Ford transit uses the 3.5 EcoBoost from the f150
