The resin really brings this piece to life! I love the little rosey cheeks and the calm expression of the mermaid, I love also the fact that you prefer to paint on a black base! Actually, I need to try it. Amazing work of art
I love that you put classical music on this. I can't listen to this pop/doubstep background music anymore you would find in other artsy sculpt videos. This is such a welcome fresh breath of air.
Wow! you are an amazing artist!! the amount of detail is impressive! When you have been putting the scales one by one I have been left with my mouth open! Your work is really inspiring. All my congratulations!
Everyone is focused on how beautiful the art is and some about the weird neck pose. But I'm over here pointing out this really cool sweater. Dude, that sweater is awesome.
If you're about to comment on her neck...I will need to see your mermaid anatomy qualifications first...😏🧜♀️ (edit: so it seems I need to spell out that this comment is jokey jokes)
That's a little unnecessary to say.. And I mean, I've never seen any info stating a mermaid has a flexible neck. Its just friendly crits! Its beautiful regardless
Tyler Lewis well you’d be kinda wrong, they can’t that far back and especially with how her posture is and her shoulders being forward. No one is freaking out really it’s just a bit mean to lash out when people just want to help :)
This is the first video i have seen of this channel...but it won't be the last! I'm damn impressed by the quality of this artist's skills and his creations!!!
So glad I found this video! I wanted to add resin to illustrate a piece as being in water and now I know I can because you did it first! This is a beautiful piece! THANK you so much!
Truly impressive. Thumbs up for the color palate you chose- interesting since it’s not typical sea foam or ocean green/blue. Your Hair and scales sculpt at this “scale” 🧜🏿♀️ is on point.
This is easy one of the most beautiful things i've seen. The thumbnail gave me a weird tingly feeling on my chest, i love that i got to watch it come to life
As soon as I finished this video, I hit the subscribe button so fast. Everything you've done on this channel has blown me away, and as an artist myself, I can just imagine the pain and man hours that go into every piece. When you started on those scales, I about started crying because they looked so beautiful. I excitedly look forward to wonderful sculptures you do in the future!!
thank you so much for making this type of video. my hands shake too much to ever work with this kind of material or level of specificity & it brings me great joy to watch someone else create something amazing
im in awe that you worked in super sculpey and yet theres no cracking in it! I just did a maquette for class and there are cracks all over the place from when I sanded it smooth. Maybe it's because I sanded it instead of using clay softener? It also couldn't help that she was an upright sculpture (and relatively skinny) rather than a horizontal one. Gravity was definitely an enemy on that one.
I'm no expert with super sculpy, but sanding is a no no in my opinion. Clay softener definitely will always give you that perfect smoothness. If you don't want to spend the money on clay softener, lighter fluid works magically. If you use the lighter fluid, give it some time to dissipate before baking.
@@Gudsur That one's one my professor--he definitely told us to sand it instead of using clay softener. When i get my maquette back I'm going to have to fill in the cracks with some artist-grade epoxy putty or something. I dont want to let 40+ hours go to waste...
I am feeling very inspired to rekindle my artistic side. When I was in school, I got an A for art. One of my pieces was a plain A6 paper, which I had stuck pieces on to make it 3D. It was a fantasy realm and it had so many different aspects in the foreground and background. I might buy some equipment and have a go at remaking my GCSE piece in clay and polymer. Can I add how beautiful your work is! Thank you for sharing and inspiring! I also love the music :)
Wow. Just wow. Your skills tho. 🤪🤓 Just found you. Watched three videos. Off to binge-watch more. New subbie, would be mad to miss your wonderful and positive contribution to the world. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work and your skills. Let’s also not forget your great sense of humour. 😜 Lots of love from the U.K. 🇬🇧😊🙏💝💐
Your art is absolutely amazing!! I also make fairies and mermaids from polymer and I know how much work goes into a piece like this. Wonderfully made!! I would love to see more of your work!
I absolutely lost it at 6:26 when the palate was just running away and the music made it even better.
Haha that was not intentional 😆
Same! I was coming to the comments to say it but you beat me xD
Absolutely beautiful work
I can totally see how creating the scales would be a pain, but it adds more into how much you care for your creations. The detail is just, wow!
Thank you :)
When you added the resin it blew my mind. It already looked so great but that took it to a whole new level.
The resin really brings this piece to life! I love the little rosey cheeks and the calm expression of the mermaid, I love also the fact that you prefer to paint on a black base! Actually, I need to try it. Amazing work of art
It looks amazing in black only, but when the rest of the colours where incorporated it was beautiful.
I like how around 6:20 the pallete starts running away
Copy cat~
GEEKY CHEESE GRATER what?
LOL, hilarious. But seriously, put that palette on a paper towel or piece of cloth…or a leash.
I love how serene and mysterious the mermaid is, and that sculpt and color palette are so amazing. Love it!
This video have all that i like

I love that you put classical music on this. I can't listen to this pop/doubstep background music anymore you would find in other artsy sculpt videos. This is such a welcome fresh breath of air.

when watching your videos - the remind largely of the Art Deco :)
The Liszt sets off the video surprisingly well. 😊Oh, and the sculpture is lovely!

Wow! you are an amazing artist!! the amount of detail is impressive! When you have been putting the scales one by one I have been left with my mouth open! Your work is really inspiring. All my congratulations!

Dude humans can put their heads like that so idk why people are being special about it...
Tyler Lewis well you’d be kinda wrong, they can’t that far back and especially with how her posture is and her shoulders being forward. No one is freaking out really it’s just a bit mean to lash out when people just want to help :)
@@danytsu1354 yeah except she isn't human... we don't really know how bendy mermaids are lol Also, she might be dead...cadavers can do crazy poses :P

"I has regrets" lol, if it was me I'd abandoned the circles completely, kudos for not giving up, it looks really beautiful!
The time you spent with the circles was worth it, amazing piece!!
Truly impressive. Thumbs up for the color palate you chose- interesting since it’s not typical sea foam or ocean green/blue. Your Hair and scales sculpt at this “scale” 🧜🏿♀️ is on point.
I'm a few weeks late, but this is a rare time where youtube's recommendations actually pay off. You are one talented artist!
This Mermaid tutorial is amazing! Love it!

ブルーマインドのお風呂場が浮かんだ。綺麗。
what an accurate work, it's truly wonderful and really brings out the fantastic and mysterious part of the mermaids.
