Well Done Rhasidat ..fantastic double!
Wow Rhasidat, we are all so very proud of you! Well done! Congrats to all the other girls too
Well done Rhasidat,. Doing us proud!
A legend in the making.
Rhasidat Adeleke was born and raised in ireland. ken timmins
Nigerian hardware/Irish software = Rashidat Adeleke.
This young lady is 1 to keep an eye on, if she doesn’t get injured she’s going to be someone very special!
So, even the numbers tag blew off Adaleke's vest and cross the finish line before the other runners. There is some talent here.
Very impressive, well done Rhasidat
The winner has great potential 💕
So impressed by Success Eduan winning bronze - She should have been at the U18s but they cancelled it. To step up, race against older girls and win a medal is so impressive. Well done!
This Irish Girl is something!wow!
She studied and ran at the University of Texas at Austin for her freshman season . She is about 3rd on the depth chart in both races at the school (behind Flannel and Kevona Davis), so she should progress fine for Coach Foreal.
Guys why is this girl not going to the Olympics for Ireland?
She didn’t get through for any individual events and then she wasn’t chosen for the mixed 4x400m relay team which I think she should’ve as she is a great 400m runner.
Brilliant 🇮🇪🍀
Dang!!! Allyson Felix name popped up 😍😍 How tall is Adeleke?? Amazing Talent.
Black Irish...great combo!
Adeleke is Nigerian name...lol
@@Podonnchadha-cr7nn historically speaking. yes. but she was born and raised in Ireland. This makes her Irish who happens to be black. Black/Irish. nuff said!
@@Podonnchadha-cr7nn so a person who was born and raised in Ireland would they not be an Irish National with an Irish citizenship? Therefore Irish?
@@Podonnchadha-cr7nn ur not helping. I digress...
@@Podonnchadha-cr7nn if you're born and raised in Ireland, you are Irish! stop being an ethno-centrist. your soft-bigotry is showing! smh! don't be that guy...
Congrats, congrats, I - bravo Ivana, bila si blizu jos jednoj medalji, odlican nastup👌❤
Some serious talent from Adeleke. Hope to see her in the World U20 championship in August. With hes height, she probably be better suited for the 200m + 400m double.
Judging by her 4x400m leg this evening I’d be inclined to agree! With a bit more work on her stamina she could be an insane talent in the 400m
@@JohnMc1995 Agreed. If the Irish wants her to do more podium finish though, they might have to consider exposing her to some serious training outside the country. I am not so sure about Irish sprinting.
@@obeahman6286 She actually just finished her first year of studying/training in Texas, so she’s been getting good coaching over there and some great exposure to the NCAA. Hopefully some big things to come from her
@@JohnMc1995 Didn't know about that! Good! Did ask her about it on Twitter though, no reply. If they push her hard in the 400m, she will gain the endurance for the 200. At present though, she reminds me of Blessing Okagbare, tall and powerful but needs to convert some body mass (especially thighs) to leaner muscles. Hope she does well in U20 Championship, We shall see what goes
@@obeahman6286 Not sure if she'll be competing in the World U20s in August as she mentioned in an interview a couple of days ago that her off-season begins now, since she's not competing in Tokyo. The Irish team for the World's has yet to be announced though so I guess we'll see!
Rashedas best event may be the 400, easily a 50 and change runner.
she’s split 50 and run i think 52 open?
Brilliant run for the Irish girl! Double gold Medal winner. Maybe she should have gone in the 400 too!
She's so tall, I think she'd actually be better suited to the 200 and 400
You called it. Shes now NCAA National Champion in the 400
She is built for success.....It is up to training and coaching now....
Still only 18!
Wait why is ireland sending Phil Healy instead of her to the Olympics for the individual/ relay? This girl looks like she has more to give for them.
@@Podonnchadha-cr7nn so is adeleke she was born and raised there. Europeans showed how superior adelke is and that I was right
Goodluck in Ireland...i was born and raised..63 years in South Africa...but i dont behave like an African...wake up..watch the news.
Sad that some of the runners are ungracious at the end. Bischops is a great sportsperson with a lovely stride........
No one was ungracious towards her. She ran to the Dutch contingent almost immediately after crossing the line and didn't bother greeting the others.
@@onigbajamo re-watch the videos...think for yourself
@@billybud9557 Maybe you should take your own advice...
@@onigbajamo you may be referring to a different athlete than me.........thanks for reply
@@onigbajamo Sad some of the runners are ungracious.....I did NOT say toward Bischops! learn to read.
Irish;
1. A descendant of the race from Ireland.
2. A person from Ireland by birth or naturalisation.
3. An animal from Ireland eg an Irish race horse(Shergar, Arkle, Galileo, etc), dogs( Irish setter, wolfhound, terrier, etc).
4. A produce from Ireland ( Irish potato, beef, St. Tola cheese, Gubbeen salami, etc)
5. A product from Ireland (Guinness stout, Harp lager beer, Jameson whisky, Baileys Irish cream)
6. Etc.
I hope this clears the air, so we can all breathe freely.
🇮🇪
"For the young Briton"??? 😏 Sheer stupidity from the commentator. Not British. Irish.
The commentator was referring to Eduan, not Rhasidat.
Weird seeing Adeleke surname as Irish, the world is changing
Very proud of our double gold medalist.
She is "omo Yoruba", take a trip to her homeland (Western Nigeria) and you will see the name "Adeleke" abound all over the place.
Aside from Adeleke, these aren’t great times….just saying. If these girls are 18, 19, 20, then realize that girls in US colleges (that will never go/be pros or Olympian’s) run 22 seconds almost every meet!
1. Alot of those girls you say running faster goes to world juniors an run alot slower than times they run in US. eg Raine-Williams ran 22.46 at the 2018 NCAAs and went to world juniors and ran 22.97 to come second.
2. Alot of these athletes dont have the same resources and competition us athletes have, they don't have NCAAs etc.
3. Alot of these athletes goes world class and compete against world class Americans.
4. Some of the top european athletes now (Dinah, Schippers etc) didn't run as fast as her at her age, but go on to dominate.
So stop acting high and mighty.
22.90 is a good time and could have place her on the US junior team.
@@orlandofoster4485 Your comments are fair. I’ll give you that. But, I was NOT referring to Adeleke’s time. It’s a really good time actually. I expect an under 23, under 20 euro championship final to have a time like hers. BUT, I also expect more of the runners to be closer to 23 seconds flat. 23.50 for the 2nd place runner is not good. Duke university’s 3rd best runner can run this time, but she won’t even come close to a conference championship final, let alone an ncaa final. I just expect more from these runners, it’s a euro championship final!!
Rhasidat runs in college in the US and does pretty well, she runs for the University of Texas, and still only 19 so has a few more years over there
@@SB-uo9to true, henceforth, why she is better than alot of these athletes currently. And might even get better.
Don’t know about the rest but 3rd place is only 16
