- This is a no major glitches speedrun of Amnesia: The Bunker, formerly a part of the glitchless category until the community decided to change the leaderboard ruleset.
RNG actually plays a big factor in these runs with the door codes being randomized forcing us to pickup dog tags to further progression and needing the game to spawn in grenades so we can blow up certain obstacles in the way.

I like to imagine Lambert confused af, traversing through the tunnels and keeping on having to change paths cuz of the fuckton of noises happening in every room or having to go back into the tunnels after not finding Henri in the last location he heard a noise from

@@Jaylabug1 Nah, they said there's alternatives to most missions, this is one of it. For sure its on purpose, its an open window where it shouldn't be.

@@zzodysseuszz Why would you stand on barbed wire? It makes perfect sense to need a stool to reach in and flip a switch in arms reach, it feels 100% intended

I'm pretty sure henri didn't drink any of the water or else he'd be turning into a ghoul as well or showing signs of it.

Im glad most people seem to agree the worst part of this game its that it is too short.
I hope the creators kind of take note to do a decently sized game next time.
Specially if they attempt again to do a gameplay-rich experience like the bunker was.
Honestly, for someone who took 30 mins to finish a resident evil demo which should have only taken 5-10, this game will take me bloody ages because of all its mechanics and it just being scary
I treat it more like an experiment game. + they announced that it will be shorter and its clear its for the first time entry in the amnesia series that focuses on gameplay, not only story and horror (which are also great in here). They not only lowered a price for this one, they also ensured that the game is addicting and replayable with all the random loot spawns. I personally after finishing it on normal couldnt get enough and started it once again on easy. Maintaining power generator, while traversing bunker, gathering all the loot and managing supplies is really fun to play and I cant get enough of it! First Amensia game Im playing more than once, so Im honestly glad its a much shorter, probably closer to something more like a half of other amnesia games for me.
Play it on hard mode man. I did it the first time and is a far more complete experience
i actually hope they do more of these quicker one shot experimental experiences, it suits the series way better imo
My run lasted 8+ hours with over 30 deaths. played in hard mode and took me the entire weekend. Not bad if you ask me, although I wouldn't mind a longer campaign.
Just finished this game myself and it's nuts to see the quick routes you took to achieve this, full respect man. 👍

Wow I didn't know we could get on a box to reach prison controls! This let's you bypass prison entirely
Hey BloodThunder, this is amazing! BTW if you face the generator funnel while having fuel in your inventory and press C, you will always pull out the canister no matter what you had equipped earlier. Might save a fraction of a second in future runs! :)
i'll have to check that out, would be a pretty handy timesave for sure 👍
For me it's just the right click that immediately pulls out the fuel, if I have nothing in my hand ofc

How well are you enjoying this game as a speedrun game with so much RNG. I like how tense its made all my replays but I imagine it could be frustrating for those who want perfect times.
Also, how did you just hop over the rats in communications? They always bite me. Just hugging the wall?
Using the chair to skip the prison is brilliant by the way.
the rng is a bit annoying when it kills off runs but its not usually too bad, we've got strats to deal with bad rng for the most part now. as for the rats, idk but hugging the wall probably helps

When I was going fast for the achievement, I noticed that the AI sometimes can't keep up when you go really fast. It's neat to watch these super fast speedruns and makes me want to try it for fun more
there's moments where it triggers a brief loading screen between each area and the monster has to catch up with you

My biggest complaint is the physics like Herni feels like he nutty professor with me having to nove barrels 7 feet away in order for me to get by

@BloodThunder im going to use your stool strat to open the jail cells i cant believe i didn't try that LOL. I did something similar getting the lockdown wheel door open before i realized how easy the "intended" route was 😅

I like how everyone knows that the main character's best friend is the monster, and it's been one month lmao. But in all honesty I think this was the best Amnesia game we've ever gotten, and the best survival horror game we've gotten in years. And for an indie game, it legit feels like a AAA type game and I honestly can't wait for what Amnesia 5 holds for us.

Here I am taking an hour to get through the intro. I'm taking notes, although I still think there must be a way to plug all the monster holes with barrels so I don't have to be bothered by it.
Dude, i was HORRIFIED by this game and seeing you just whoosh through the whole game in 12 minutes while i was forced to hide in the safehouse every 10 minutes for 2 hours straight is so embarrassing for me :)

I learned all my strats myself from 1 hour to 19min but the strats in this video are insane, I didn't know about the end box, or the grenade to detonator, or that you don't have to turn on the lights in the center, OR THAT YOU COULD RELOAD SAVE AFTER NUMBERS. I'm definitely going to be implementing all of these, that's crazy

Just a tipp if you crouch and jump you boost up, theres a lot of stuff you can glitch with that.

8:15 this happens to me all the time and it’s extremely annoying
if you're still having issues, simply crouch before trying to jump on the box. you'll gain more height and shouldn't have any issues

Is it possible to get a consistent nade via the clippers in the dorm rooms?
there are some consistent nade spawns, not sure about the ones you're talking about specificlly but it probably wouldn't be worth the time to get. ideally we just get the nades along the way or reset if we get bad luck

I feel like personally, Rebirth was tbe worst of the series. It explored a lot of the other world, but got boring and repetitive when in the other world. A Machine For Pigs was a big stepdown in gameplay but the story was actually fascinating to me. Nothing tops The Dark Descent though. Survival horror perfection.

@@BloodThunder Jeah I enjoyed my time. Gameplay wise it was the coolest Frictional game so far.
But I was a bit underwhelmed by the 2 endings. They barely differentiate from each other. Also there doesnt seem to be a secret 3rd ending which is also bummer.
It feels like they dummed down the story. It's the first Frictional game where I pinpointed the plot right away.
With the last Amnesia games I loved to stitch all the pieces together... and if I couldnt do it myself... I loved to watch Lore videos here on YT.
Anyway... overall I had a great time... I like my games to be short... I dont want 200hrs+ games.

wait why did you still need the arsenal code even with the bolt cutters in hand?
you need the arsenal code to enter the arsenal (where the dynamite is). the bolt cutters are just to get us into the tunnels (where the detonator handle is)

You turn on the counter at the initial waking up scene, but at the final scene why do you stop it. this must be the custom I don't know
speedruns almost always end timing on the final input from the player to avoid having to watch long cutscenes/credits that won't change the outcome of the run

09:00 the video seems to be skipped
instead of load screens this game tries to keep the player immersed by loading/unloading chunks of the map as you run through it, that's one of the map changes

Just wondering - do you _have_ to start up the generator initially for some reason? Being a speedrun I assumed it would be neglected altogether.
You need the generator running to open the door in prison, to get the arsenal code in communications and to activate the water pump to get into the tunnels.
Are the code will regenerate to new one for each save file?
Yes, they're different in every save file.
The codes themselves are randomized each playthrough but the location where that code is located will be the same

earlier on in the livestream this was taken from I did do those kinds of runs but using the save the way i do lets us skip walking back from certain areas. by not saving id just have to walk back and waste some time

Says glitchless, uses an exploit instead to open the prison cells and obtain the boltcutters without having to first obtain the wrench, thus skipping almost the entirety of the game.
It's not a glitch though, it's using an unintended game mechanic
the category is glitchless not exploitless. also obtaining the wrench only takes like 2 mins, definitely not the entirety of the game
I mean, he didn't really break the game. He still obeyed the game's logic and collision.
I'm pretty sure that's not an exploit. The game is build around the idea of alternative solutions. This is simply one of them.
@@hody.8381 I was thinking the same thing. I mean the stool is right there and the window wide open with the panel in reach. It really seems like an alternate way through the prison.

thats the best boss fight i've seen in a while.
this game is lowkey short for its price point. not much replayability when its comparable to a granny-like game
Still super fun. I think this might be a taste test for their next game.
it 100% feels like a proof of concept for future titles or some sort of expansion for Rebirth that ended up getting developed into a standalone title

I do think the shortness helps make it so replayable. Though I hope they release free maps or something. I think there is supposed to be a user map creator soon to be added, but possibly not for consoles? I hope if that is true, then the console users at least get some of the top rated levels somehow.
