WHAT SATAN COULD NOT SWALLOW! Even before the law of Moses, there were still people that did the RIGHT joice to OBEY God. One was Enoch, that WALKED with God and was taken to heaven alive. Then Job was the most GOD-FEARING man on planent earth. Even when he got tested on Satan's demand, and lost everything, all his children and property, his health, scrathing himself on a dumpheap, never got an answer from God : WHY?! GOD.... He never cursed God, but kept on asking : Why! In the end the answer came from God: Job, you were here (in the spirit) when I created everything! You saw that I made all the animals, everyone with his own purpose. You should have known that this testing was with a PURPOSE that I could not explain to you before you passed your test.! In that explanation from God, Job realised that God actually "bragged" with him before Satan. We know Job was blessed double in everything. Abraham believed God in the most impossible promise...etc.
Interesting. Death is not the death of the soul. It is the judgment of the soul at the great white throne judgment. It is the resurrection of the dead, the just and the unjust. Acts 24:15. The just go back into life on the new earth. Saints are not part of this resurrection because they never died. See Revelation 20-22, John 5, Romans 2, 1 Timothy 4:10, Hebrews 9:27. The just have no need of repentance.
