IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles: Battle for Kuban - Slavyanskaya

February 1943, Kuban.
The operations of the Soviet 56th and 46th Armies placed the German troops in a precarious position, and to avoid encirclement they abandoned positions north of the Kuban and withdrew to the Protoka River. The Germans kept Slavyanskaya airfield in use as long as possible. Ju 52 transports were busy bringing supplies to the front line as well as taking the wounded out of the combat zone. The airfield was dangerously close to the front line but Luftwaffe fighters helped to defend it.
Mission: Destroy enemy aircraft on the ground and destroy the ammo dump at Slavyanskaya airfield.
